Dr. Romn was born and raised in Puerto Rico. She received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of Puerto Rico, Medical Sciences Campus in 2006. After obtaining her degree, she moved to Minnesota to complete a General Practice Residency program at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Minneapolis. She moved to California and worked for a year as an associate dentist. It was then that she realized that her passion was the field of periodontics and decided to return to school. She graduated from the Los AngelesVeterans Affairs Medical Center in 2012and received her periodontal specialty degree.
Dr. Romn is an active member of the American Dental Association Academy of Periodontology, the California Dental Association, the California Society of Periodontists, and the Humboldt Del Norte Dental Society.
Dr. Romn is married to Dr. Kochendorfer, who is a general dentist in the area. They move to Humboldt in 2012. They have a son Emmet, who was born in August 2014. Dr. Romn enjoys on her free time hiking, traveling, and photography.
Taylor - Dental Assistant - was born and raised in Humboldt County.She graduated from the College of the Redwoords Dental Assisting program in 2009. She has one daughter. Sheenjoys spending time at the lake with her family and traveling.

Very professional office seemingly. However, Dr. placed three implants in front for a five-teeth bridge, wherever was easiest apparently, as the bridge was difficult to make because the teeth did not sit directly over any of the implants! Dentist had to plug and not use the center implant in order to get the five teeth aligned as aesthetically as possible. Just in it for the money or does she not understand the process?

Did a good job on an extraction and metal rod implant. took 15 minutes for the extraction. minimal pain from shots, waited tell it kicked in to work. Very nice staff

Dr.Roman is a wonderful Dentist. My husband had to have an old bridge removed and she did the extractions, a sinus lift and two implants. Through all of the appointments he was well cared for by Dr. Roman and her staff! They are very knowledgeable and professional. I would recommend her to anyone!

Excellent Surgeon! It is so nice to have such an amazing professional like Karla Roman in this area. I had met with other surgeons in other states and was most impressed with Karla. She is very skilled and thorough, she has an easy manner and takes complications in stride. As a patient i have no fears or worries and she explains everything to me in advance. I felt no pain, and everything went smoothly.

Friendly, efficient, always on-time staff. Dr. Roman has the smallest hands, a most gracious manner. They all make you feel like you are the only patient they have ever cared about. I wish Dr. Roman was my all-the-time dentist; then I would give them 5 stars.

Dr Roman is a delightful Doctor. Unfortunately their staff is poorly trained. If you are a veteran. Beware. They will fail to get an authorization prior to appointment and then try to shame you in paying bill up front. Knowing full well that doing so would complicate the process of having the VA pay your claim. Their staff assistance is absolutely hostile and will treat you like a second class citizen. Whether in person or on the phone. Avoid this place at all possible. zero respect for veterans.
