Trained in her hometown of Monterrey, Mexico, she was awarded valedictorian of her Dental School at the Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon. Receiving her dental degree at the age of 19, she moved to California in 1993 and began studying at UCLA and the University of the Pacific to obtain her D.D.S. (Doctorate of Dental Surgery) degree in the United States.

She began practicing in Salinas soon after receiving her License and opened her own private practice in 2004. Months after opening her office she received the Readers Choice Award as the Best Dentist in the Monterey Bay area as voted by the readers of The Californian. She has shown her commitment to providing the highest level of care by receiving that award every year since she opened her office in 2004.
