Dr. Ahmad Karimi has spent the past four years in private practice in Southern California. While he loves providing routine restorative and cosmetic dentistry, he has also dedicated several years to honing his skills for complex surgical and endodontic treatments. Dr. Karimi employs his passion for dentistry by continuously taking advanced education courses related to implants, endodontics, sedation, and sleep apnea. He is also a member of the Harbor Dental Society, California Dental Association, and the American Dental Association.
Dr. Karimi is a native of Torrance and attended the University of California Irvine where he completed his undergraduate studies. He continued his studies at USC in the field of Global Medicine in an effort to understand how he can improve both the medical anddental systems. The experiences there helped him develop a vision for the type of dentistry he, even today, strives to practice. He then graduated from the Roseman College of Dental of Medicine with distinction, in the top 10% of his class.
Dr. Karimi is incredibly excited to serve the Long Beach community and explore the food scene (he considers himself a burger and sushi connoisseur). A sports enthusiast, Dr. Karimi is a die-hard Lakers fan. He also enjoys spending his free time hiking and lifting weights.
Ive had the pleasure of working in the dental field for over 10 years. The highlight of my career has and will always be providing excellent patient care. I am proud of the excellent service each team member provides for our patients. It is a pleasure working hand in hand with Dr. Karimi striving to treat each patient as an extended family member. When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my teenage son, dog, and partner. We enjoy impromptu home karaoke sessions, long car rides, and hiking.

Dr. Karimi was real professional but was laid back and easy to talk to. I had not been to the dentist in years because of bad experiences. Dr Karimi was willing to go above and beyond to ensure I got the proper care I needed while being comfortable throughout the process. 5 out of 5 stars and I highly recommend him!

Have had 2 regular cleanings and 1 session to fill cavities. They did a great job, nice people and no pain. Was a patient at this location with the prior dentists of Emery. Great experience with the new dentists.

I've been going to emery and emery as long as I can remember. The switch to the Dr. Karimi was easy and all of the new staff maintained the same friendliness as the prior. I've tried other dentist but will always end up back here.

We were long time patients of Drs. Emery. We loved them and their staff. Unfortunately we have not felt the same about Dr. Karimi and his staff. First sign of a problem was when there was no one left from Dr. Emery's staff. Each time we went it felt like a different person would clean our teeth. Dr. Karimi encouraged my 19 year old son to get teeth whitening which of course would be out of his own pocket. When he arrived for the appointment, the hygienist told my son she could not whiten his teeth because he had brackets on from his Invisalign. It was a waste of my son's time and clearly something the Dr. should have known. We never felt comfortable there. The last straw was at my last appointment. I went for a 6mth teeth cleaning. The woman who took me into the room was unfamiliar and not friendly. I told her I did not want to have x-rays taken. She told me that I had to because it was the law and that it was the only way the insurance company would actually know the patient was there. She also told me most patients do it every six months. All of these assertions were lies and I knew them to be so when she said them. I have been going to the dentist every 6 mths for at least 25 years. I am not sure who she thought she was talking to that would believe what she said. I told her I did not wish to have x-rays and she said the Dr. would not see me so I said ok. She made no effort to get the Dr. to assist in the situation. The Dr. never called to follow-up. Weeks later I called to discuss it before I wrote this review. I left a message indicating that I would like to discuss a problem and he never called back. He clearly does not value his patients or the practice that the Emery's handed him. So my family of 4 will now go elsewhere. Today I went to Dr. Candice Johnson. The staff was professional and friendly. Dr. Johnson actually does the cleaning herself. It was a wonderful experience and I recommend her.

I had been a long time patient of Drs. Emery and was sad to hear that they were retiring. I just had my 1st appointment at Dr. Karimis office and I am happy with my choice to stay with this office. I was seen by Dr. Vu and he is very professional and has what my mom used to call a good hand. So I expect when I need treatment, it will not hurt. Thank you Karimi Dental!

Karimi Dental is a new Dentist for me. I'm an older person and have had plenty of experience with dentists of all different skillsets. From the momeht I ment Dr Karimi I was at ease. He has a "Chairside Manner" that really was kind and empathetic to my concerns in a very nice and disarming way. The exam was of course easy and his hygene staff excellent and able to clean with no discomfort. The rubber hit the road when I sat for two hours getting 5 fillings replaced and my smile looking nice again. From the initial anesthesia to the very end there was no discomfort and really skilled work going on. I actually dosed off a couple times...imagine that. a Strong thumbs up and stamp of approval for this great team at Karimi Dental!

I had my six month exam and cleaning at Dr. Karimi's yesterday and had another positive experience. They were timely, the office follows all the proper sterilization protocols, and my teeth feel fantastic. I really like all the staff, Janet at the front desk and LaShawn and Lily in the back are all great.
