Dr. Karen grew up on the northwest side of Chicago and graduated from Loyola University School of Dentistry in 1991. She opened her office in 1995, in the neighborhood she grew up in and enjoys getting to know her patients like family.
Dr. Karen is currently a member of the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, the Chicago Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry and is a member of the Arcolian Dental Arts Society.
Dr. Karen enjoys treating patients of all ages and has loved sharing in the lives of her patients and their families. She is committed to delivering excellent care to all of her patients by staying up to date with newest dental technologies and research. Dr. Karen enjoys all phases of dentistry and believes that oral health is an intricate aspect of overall health. Through a combination of state-of-the-art care and a compassionate heart, she works to serve her patients and meet their individual needs. She has a passion for helping patients meet their oral health goals whether they are general or cosmetic. Dr. Karen believes that well educated patients make the best decisions and, therefore, commits herself to spending time with each patient to ensure all treatment options are fully understood.
I believe that quality care is the result of communication and teamwork between the patient and the dental care team. I love working with my patients to give them the healthy and happy smiles they deserve.

Dr Karen has been my dentist for many years. She is extremely professional and caring as well as very personable! She's great at explaining procedures, taking time to assure any questions or concerns are addressed. She has a very reassuring demeanor, which coupled with a good sense of humor helps the time in her chair pass quickly. My husband who was paranoid of dentists due to prior really bad experiences is now comfortable and trusting of her. The entire staff from hygienist and assistants to insurance and scheduling personnel is so friendly and helpful that it makes the entire experience as simple and painless as possible. Which reminds me she gives great shots, which to me was always the worst part of having dental work done.

I've been seeing Dr. Izzo for about 15 years. I cannot say enough good things about her and her staff. She is a wonderful, kind and genuinely caring professional. She does everything in her power to make sure that your experience is first-rate; from pain relief, to explaining everything she's doing/needs to do in detail, she is beyond amazing. Never once in all the years going there have I felt "ripped off" (and I've seen many dentists over the years, I cannot say that about all of them.) On top of that, she's lucky enough to have a phenomenal staff, everyone is clearly happy to be there, and how many people can say that at work! I've left doc practices due to rude staff in the past, so I feel this is SO important! The office folks know their stuff re: insurance and are willing to work with people financially, and the hygienists are absolutely first-rate, every one of them. The fact that the only new faces you ever see there are additions to the staff because of expansion really tells you what a great place it is. If I could give them 10 stars, I would.

Dr. Izzo is honest and down to earth. She really seems to genuinely care about her patients. I switched my family of five to this practice last summer and I have no regrets. The staff is great to deal with as well.

Great care from Dr. Karen and her staff for over 20 years. Our kids love her as she has cared for their dental health from age 3 on up! Friendly, professional, and puts any worries to rest (for our dentist-phobic friends we've referred)!
