Dr. Ehsan Karimian had both his orthodontic and dental training in the Bay Area. He received his orthodontic specialty training at the University of the Pacific in San Francisco. He also attended UCSF School of Dentistry in San Francisco for his dental training where he graduated with honors. During those years he fell in love with Marin County and all it has to offer. He also holds dental and orthodontic degrees from Iran where he had the opportunity to help people in the underserved areas.
Dr. Karimian is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. Becoming a Diplomate of theAmerican Board of Orthodonticsis a unique achievement. In order to become Board Certified, Dr. Karimian passed a comprehensive oral and written examination covering all phases of orthodontic and dentofacial orthopedic care. He also had to present to the Board detailed case reports on the treatment he provided for a broad range of orthodontic problems. This journey placed him at the top of his specialty.
Dr. Karimian is an Assistant Clinical Professor at University of the Pacific,Division of Orthodontics. He lectures, serves as an attending doctor in the treatment of patients and trains the residents in all aspects of orthodontics.He is also involved in research at the Craniofacial Research Instrumentation Laboratory where his work on the AAOF legacy collection was acknowledged by the American Association of Orthodontics.
Dr. K. met his wife Mona in dental school and it was love at first sight! They are happy to call Marin home. Dr. Mona is practicing in Petaluma, CA. When they are not busy creating beautiful smiles, Dr. Karimian enjoys running, tennis and spending time with his family.

Orthodontic Exams Should Begin No Later Than Age Seven The following early warning signs usually indicate that your child should have an orthodontic exam: Early or late loss of teeth Difficulty in chewing or biting Mouth breathing Finger-sucking or other oral habits Crowding, misplaced, or blocked-out teeth Jaws that shift, make sounds, protrude or retrude Speech difficulty Biting the cheek or into the roof of the mouth Protruding teeth Teeth that meet in an abnormal way or dont meet at all Facial imbalance Grinding or clenching of teeth
Its not unusual for us to treat an entire family, sometimes one after the other and sometimes simultaneously. Once parents see the beautiful results and the boost in self-esteem from their children after braces are off, they become excited about starting treatment for themselves. Orthodontic treatment is a change for the better, regardless of your age. The biological process involved in tooth movement is the same in both adults and children. In many cases we can achieve very dramatic facial changes with adult orthodontics. Braces will NOT interfere with your lifestyle. You can do anything with braces sing, play musical instruments, dine out, kiss, and have your picture taken.There are a few inconveniences, but you will adjust quickly. Certain treats, such as caramels and peanut brittle, will be off limits. Also, your mouth and teeth may be a little tender after adjustments. The good news is that the new techniques and materials used by our doctors greatlyreduce the discomfort of wearing braces and also decrease the frequency of office visits and overall treatment time. KareOrthodontics is also sensitive to adults busy schedules.

Dr. Ehsan Karimian is the best orthodontist in the bay area. I have been under his care for the last 4+ years and I would give him an A+++. This is the honest opinion of the Professor of Neurosciences I happen to be. Enjoy the experience. No regrets only gratitude towards this brilliant dentist and human at every level! Try him as soon as you can if you care about your health. Amazing!

Kare Orthodontics is absolutely the nicest bunch of people you can find. Dr. Karimian has the most modern equipment, skills and education. He is very friendly with all patience. Everyone in the clinic is so kind and friendly.They always like to help you with your need. Amazing people.

We are visiting San Rafael from NJ and our son walked In and had a broken wire on his tongue! We just started our vacation and panicked!! The amazing folks her squeezed us in on a Friday at 11:15!! We were able to enjoy our day in SF and be able to be worry free for the rest of our family vacation!!! Thank you so much from Sullivan's Mom

I had braces for about 4 years and the whole time I was seen by Dr.Griffin. Such a friendly and kind dentist. At the time my braces were coming off they brought in Dr.K and this is where the dentist office took a turn for the worst. From the moment I got my braces off and was given retainers I was assigned to Dr.K who would make my experience there just terrible. Every appointment with Dr.K would consist of me going to the office and waiting 10-15 minutes just to sit in the chair for what felt like seconds. He would merely look at my teeth sometimes just at a glance and then walk out telling the dental assistant I could make another appointment for 6-8 weeks from then after barely looking at my teeth. His appointments made me feel as if my money was just all he was after. After I finished payment of my braces that's when I would only be seen for maximum 5 minutes per appointment. Things were much different when Dr.Griffin was in charge and had the help of Dr.Carol. They actually took the time to explain everything to you and be there during the whole process. There's many Orthodontists around the Bay Area who take better care of their patients. Please reconsider going somewhere else do your research and find another Orthodontist someone who actually cares about their patients!!!

I had my orthodontist treatment here and I'm loving my straight teeth and smile. Dr Karimian is competent and compassionate, he took the time to come over the weekend one time to help with my braces issue. My other siblings had Tx here and they all love the office . I ve been referring and will refer friends and family here wo hesitation.

*MUST READ!* Review is important. I took my son here to get treatment. They said it was 2 phases. They charged me almost 5,000 dollars for phase 1 and his teeth were not improved whatsoever. I went to a different orthodontist to receive treatment for phase 2 and it was so much cheaper and higher quality service. The new orthodontist also gave me a discount based on the severity of my son's case. The new orthodontist notified me that there was not 2 phases needed. The orthodontist at the new office takes his time on patients and listens to concerns. Please find another orthodontist in Marin. Bad experiences here! They do not take his time on patients and do not care to do so. He saw my son for 2 SECONDS AND THEN MOVED ON TO NEXT PATIENT. They are also closed every other Friday, it makes it inconvenient for families who work!!!!! A lot of money for what!? What a waste. Worst experience ever. I wasted almost 5K on my son's teeth. This office needs a new different and professional doctor. The new reviews incoming are not accurate to the service my son received. I recommend you look on Marin Ij's best orthodontist voted for the year and go there! There are also tons of orthodontist in the East Bay and San Francisco, you have tons of options. I do not want anything in return from this orthodontist . I do not need any compensation. I am simply writing this to alert other folks. By the way the pictures he has on google are NOT the office pictures! That used to be the old office. Very misleading to patients. Be aware. 1 STAR!

This team truly does care. My Invisalign treatment left my teeth perfectly straight. My daughter had braces and her smile is beautiful. My son is next! They are kind, fast, and good at what they do. They are also very flexible with payments.

I am so happy to have gone through Invisalign with Dr. Karimian ! My teeth look and feel amazing! I had a gap in between my top front teeth and some bite issues . He fixed my issues and made my teeth look perfect . I love smiling and feeling confident with my new smile . Dr. Karimian took the time to exam my mouth throughly and answered all my questions every time I saw him . His assistant Heather is wonderful , she is so kind and gentle . This whole process was smooth and easy . The front desk staff is amazing as well . Everyone was professional, kind and knowledgeable!

I really appreciate all of the detail Dr.k puts into my treatment. He answers all my questions and is patient with me as I do get a little nervous at the dentist. The staff is wonderful as well! They get pretty busy but they always spend the necessary time to make certain everything is done correct.

If you're going to read any review read this one!!! If you value your time whatsoever, do not go here. For a 5-10 minute appointment, you could be waiting there for 20-45 minutes on a good day. There are countless orthodontics in the area and any one would be better than this one.
