For Benjamin Karabell, DMD, community and family are the foundation of his work at Karabell Dentistry. Dr. Karabell is passionate about providing high-quality cosmetic, family, and general dentistry services to his patients in Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach, and the surrounding communities.
A native of Colorado, Dr. Karabell earned a bachelors degree in microbiology and chemistry from Colorado State University. After completing his undergraduate studies, he attended Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, which was followed by a residency at Montefiore Medical Center in New York City. Practicing dentistry in California since 2009.
When hes not creating beautiful, healthy smiles for his patients, Dr. Karabell enjoys traveling with his wife and three kids (Hudson, Leoni and Rumi) and watching his favorite sports teams play (especially his beloved Denver Broncos). He also enjoys hiking, fishing, snowboarding, and driving the kiddos to all of their activities.

I'm amazed at how talented Dr. Karabell is and his bed side manor is phenomenal! I had visible chipping in my two front teeth and Dr. Karabell bonded them to perfection. I'm amazed and I highly recommend him and his staff!

Dr. Karabell really cares about his patients and goes out of his way to help them. When I had an urgent problem, he called me back and scheduled me in the next day. And he fixed three of my teeth in one visit! The next day, when I saw his hygienist Veronica, she was able to take stains off several of my teeth that made me think I was going to need veneers. His prices are also very reasonable. I can't recommend this place enough!

Dr. Karabell and his staff are the best. They take every precaution to keep me safe and well cared for. Angela is my dental hygienist and appreciate her professionalism and friendliness. I recommend anyone looking for a good dental office. I recently needed had a hairline fracture on one of my teeth. Half of it sheared off from a popcorn kernel I bit down on. Dr. Karabell took me right in and took care of the problem. I appreciate his concern for me and service.

I've been going to Doctor Karabell since he started his practice. The staff are wonderful; pleasant, efficient, and communicative. Appointments are always on time - no hanging around the waiting room for a space to open up. The hygienist are very skilled and personable. Doctor Karabell is a thorough yet conservative dentist. This is great for the patient because he only does what is necessary and doesn't use the visit to pump profits. Very ethical. His skills are top notch.

I have been a patient of Dr. Karabell since 2014 when he took over Dr. Shafer's practice in Hermosa Beach. For the last six years, he has been my regular dentist and has helped me not only with my routine checkups, but also with more severe conditions. When I broke one of my front teeth while running, I was able to see him in less than one hour and he worked in a team with my periodontist by doing the crown on the implant of my damaged tooth. Furthermore, a crown after a root canal and a few fillings have been part of the work he has done for me. Dr. Karabell's professionalism and expertise are exceptional. I could not be happier with the results of the work he has done for me. His manner conveys calm and self-confidence, both of them so important to relax the usual stress caused by a visit to the dentist. Furthermore, all the hygienists working at his practice are extraordinary skilled and pleasant. Since March 2019, I have been twice to Dr. Karabell's office. The standards of safety regarding Covid19 are very thorough so, as a patient, I did not feel at risk of contagion when I had my routine cleaning and my annual checkup performed recently.
