Dr. Dean was an Assistant Professor at the University Of Michigan School Of Dentistry, staff dentist at the Wyandotte General Hospital in Detroit and the University of Michigan Childrens Psychiatric Hospital. In Hawaii he practiced dentistry at the Strong-Carter Dental Clinic before entering private practice in Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Dean also served as President at the Hawaii Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Dean volunteers and travels with the Aloha Medical Mission Group providing dentistry to the underprivileged in various foreign countries. He has volunteered as a youth and high school varsity coach for 19 years in a variety of sports.
Dr. Chun entered the Queens Hospital Dental Residency Program and practiced general dentistry in Hawaii prior to enrolling in the UCLA School of Dentistry graduate program. Dr. Chun practiced pediatric dentistry in the San Francisco bay area before returning to Hawaii.

Dr. Sueda and his team are amazing. Very professional and family oriented. I grew up getting my teeth cleaned by him as a child and it's nice to see that his own children are following his footsteps. Now they're caring for all 3 of my children. Highly recommended.

I've been bringing my children to Dr Dean's office for many years now and I cant imagine taking them to any other dentist. From the dental assistants to the front staff, I would've given them 10+ stars if I were able to! I have never waited longer than 10minutes upon arrival to have my children be seen and all of their dentist are extremely gentle yet so efficient to my children's dental care. They have two locations and they even accommodate working parents to be able to bring their children in either at 7am or late afternoon and most all holidays. I appreciate all of their dedication and hard work!!!! Thank you KKD!

Dr. Sueda is very kind and professional. My son has gone there since he was 2 years old. Recently I took him to the other doctor but he didn't like it at all so we decided to take him back to see Dr. Sueda. My son said no painful treatments.

Our experience was very traumatic. I took my 3 yrs old daughter for her 2nd ever dentist appointment and she was already nervous going back to the room and sitting in the chair in the first place. They were friendly but when the Dentist came in, they had her lay down flat and held her down with 3 people to clean her teeth! Held her by the head, arms and legs. Her hair got sucked in by the sucking utensil. She is screaming and crying to have them stop. I will not be surprised if my daughter never wants to go to the dentist again. I am not a dentist but I think it's pretty obvious that the first couple visits with them being so young are to get the child comfortable and actually want to go to the dentist and show their teeth. It was very disappointing and traumatic! I will not be going back. I wish now I would have stopped them and walked out.

Can't say enough good things about Dr. Dean and his team! After her first visit, my daughter said she wanted to go to the dentist every week! What really blew me away was how good they are with special needs kids. Dr. Stacie sat with me, put me at ease about bringing my medically fragile son, and they made every accommodation to ensure he had a great experience as well. No tears, no need for anesthesia, he was calm, compliant, and this mama was turned into their lifelong fan. You are not just a patient here, you are treated like their family.

3 of my kids have been patients of Kapolei Keiki Dental for the last 3 years and love it there. We decided to give them a try because the last dentist was a bit rude and heavy handed. It was just the opposite when we visited KKD. Dr. Dean has become a friend and i will always recommend their great work.

If your in search for a pediatric dentist, I highly recommend them for your keiki. First off, I hate waiting long to be seen, here I have never had that problem, they call you back quickly and never have had to wait long in the waiting room. The care my keiki have received each visit is so personalized and caring, and they make them feel so comfortable. If it's for fillings or if it's even for just a simple cleaning visit, they are quick, caring and fun to make keiki feel safe and not scared in a dentist office. The decor is vibrant and fun and speaks to kids, there is TVs in each room to distract them which is great. The receptionists are also so amazing and kind, they always greet you with a smile and make you feel welcome. I wish I had this kind of care when I was a kid! Thanks Kapolei Keiki Dental!

Just got here to Hawaii and of course needed to find a new dentist for my keiki and I am so glad the reviews did not steer me wrong! I met Dr. Dean Sueda and staff today and they were all so friendly, I loved it! I especially love how Dr. Sueda explained everything that he was going to do with the children and taught me a thing or two about brushing their teeth :) you can tell he loves his job and that's great! I love doctors with some personality and willing to educate their patients as well, it just makes everything feel more welcoming. Definitely recommend Kapolei Keiki Dental for all your keiki dental needs!!!

I've been to a few keiki dentist through out the years for my children. I have to say that this Dentist is The Best dentist here on the island!! Very informative and concerned for our keiki. Friendly staff always smiling. Comfortable and clean environment. The Doctor makes me feel like I'm family. They specialize in pediatrics so you don't have to go anywhere else to have work done!! I'm very satisfied with the work they done on my children. I will give it a five star and also have recommended this dentist to my friends and family with children!!
