I went to Doctor Kanter to remove my wisdom teeth and two premolars. The first time I met Dr. Kanter I had a very good feeling about his kindness and professionalism. Surgery went great, very gently and smoothly extractions without deep sedation. Also his assistants were really nice and helpful. I am very happy I choose Doctor Kanter's office! Very highly recommended

He removed my husband's wisdom teeth. He and his team did a great job working quickly, easily removing his 4 wisdom teeth. Procedure took about 30 minutes and he was not in ANY pain even without pain meds. I was surprised because I was in so much pain when I had my wisdom teeth removed at a different clinic. I still need to remove 2 of my own remaining wisdom teeth and I am seriously considering coming in to Dr. Herbert's office for that.

My experience with Dr. Kanter removing my impacted wisdom tooth was amazing. Far from any other of my anxiety producing removals (at other places of course). I highly recommend this practice for their insuperable professionalism, and making their patients feel taken care of. Invasive procedures have never been easy for me, so I was happily surprised to learn that they offer various options of sedation. The entire procedure took less than 10 minutes, after receiving the injection I began feeling lightheaded and closed my eyes. That's all I remember, next thing I knew the dental assistant helped me to the resting room where my husband picked me up. He said it had been less than 10 minutes, he was just as surprised as I was. That afternoon I received a call from the dental office asking me how I felt, and if I had any questions. They are simply amazing! I made sure to follow all their instructions, but I really wanted to share my experience because I know many people feel the same level of anxiety. My only regret, not going to a reputable surgeon for my previous procedures. Always do your research!

Dr. Kanter is truly an amazing doctor and, a wonderful human being. I recently had oral surgery on a fractured/infected tooth. I was in terrible pain and very nervous. Dr. Kanter and his staff put me at ease, made me as comfortable as possible and did the procedure so efficiently. I would recommend him to everyone and anyone. Thank You Dr. Kanter for your caring ways, your phone call to see if I was all right the night of the surgery and the kindness with which you treat your patients.

Doctor Kanter has removed both my son's and just last week my daughter's wisdom teeth. He is wonderful! Fast, very nice, very experienced, and even called both of them that evening to see how they were doing. They both recovered quickly, and my daughter even had an inverted tooth. His office staff is very nice and helpful as well. I would highly recommend him!

Doctor Kanter performed the removal of my 4 wisdom teeth. He and his staff was very warm and welcoming. They took every step to ensure that I was comfortable. On the day of the operation I arrived at the office early, filled out my paperwork and waited. A few moment later I was taken in to the room by one of his assistants, who took my vitals. She saw that I was terrified and did her best to calmly reassure me that everything would be okay. Moments later Dr Kanter came in and started to prep me for the IV line. I am terribly terrified of IV lines being put in especially when they have to stay in for a long periods, I was even more terrified of it going in my wrist. Turned out I was not hydrated enough so my veins did not show in my upper arm so he had to do the wrist. I guess after doing this for so long he had developed a few tricks on painlessly inserting the line into the tiny veins on the wrist. He had me grab hold of the arm rest of the chair with the intended hand while his assistant held my other hand to comfort me. Turns out inserting into that part of the hand isn't painful at all, I didn't feel a thing. It was then time to get started. Doctor Kanter asked if I was ready and then proceeded to empty the syringes of sedative into the line. With 2 or 3 second I was out. Then I guess time passed real in time, but for me it was just a couple seconds. I woke up in the recovery room with no clue what had happened, my jawline numb and my teeth feeling like they were fused together. After a few minutes my spouse and I were allowed to leave. I was still dizzy and drugged up the entire drive home and was out like a log the moment I touched the bed. Overall the entire thing was a success and did not seem as bad as YouTube and the people on the forums made it out to be. I would definitely recommend Dr. Kanter for all your oral surgery needs. TIPS. 1. Drink lots of water in the night before your procedure and before your food cut off time 6 hours before the procedure. You can't eat or drink within a 6 hour window prior to your appointment. 2. If you are going in to have an extraction of this magnitude opt for deep sedation. You won't regret it. 3. If you are scared, don't hesitate to ask the nurse to hold your hand. 4. Ensure someone drives you there. You will be too out of it to drive home. 5. When you get home make sure you go right to sleep and get load of sleep in the first 48 hours. 6. Invest in an ice pack and keep your jaws iced as much as possible, even if you aren't in pain. It will make sure day two and 3 does not suck for you, which are the more painful days. 7. Stock up on Ensure, the Meal Supplement. It is quick, convenient and very soothing for your wounds. 8. Take your pills on time and follow all after care instructions to the T, even if they are a lot. I guarantee you will not have a swelling or feel any severe pain. 9. Ensure you set aside 4 days at least where you do not exercise, or do any major activities, you will need to conserve energy. 9. Most importantly drink lots of water post op.

My son had a great experience removing all 4 wisdom teeth at the same time. Dr. Kanter made quick, clean work of it; The expense was reasonable with insurance and the office staff were very helpful.

I will start out by saying, I seriously have never had a better experience with a tooth extraction in my life. If you like quick and easy, this is the place to go. I had a hole in my top right wisdom tooth that had been causing me searing pain down my jaw. I was very nervous for the extraction and had asked to be put under. However when it came time, Dr. Kanter had numbed the roof of my mouth, and without question, took out his tools and popped my tooth out in a matter of seconds. No joke. Seconds. Sure I squirmed a bit from the pressure, but I was in and out of his office in under 30 minutes without being groggy from any anesthesia. I cannot recommend this place enough. The office staff is also very friendly and helpful. If you need your tooth extracted, I highly recommend Dr. Kanter. He is very good at what he does.

2 of my kids (18,20 y.o)each had 4 wisdom teeth out yesterday. One needed the twilight sleep one did not. Dr Kanter did a fantastic job for both. He was fast with the procedures, but made time for both adult kid's questions/concerns after procedures. He was quick to get Rx sent to pharmacy. He even called to check in on them last night around 9pm. Highly recommend him! His office staff was also wonderful in helping with insurance and making sure I knew covered vs non covered items.

I called them about having my tooth extracted and yet with no information of which tooth they decided that they can already take it out without a consultation. They asked me the patient which anesthesia I would prefer and me personally I have no clue since I am not a doctor. They said that we should know which one we want but like anyone I would take what the doctor offers depending on the situation. They did not understand and were very rude when I asked them about it. I haven't even stepped inside the building and yet a phone call I gave them is the cause for me never to use there services ever again. I suggest nobody to come here. Unprofessional at least.

I call in to make appointment. A very rude old lady who barely speaks English picks up the phone. First tells me there are no appointments at all, as soon as I say "Do you want me to go somewhere else?" she immediately finds appointment. She asks me for X-ray, when I say I do not have it, she asks why? She asks me if I have insurance, I say yes. She says that while they do work with delta dental, they require that I pay them IN CASH in full and then get my insurance to reimburse me. I do not know what kind of office Dr. Kanter runs, but this was enough for me to turn away and look for another oral surgeon.

Friendliest staff + oral surgeon I have been too. Will be referring any friends, family, co-workers, anyone I can to them. I have been to at least four different dental surgeons in a wry short amount of time. HKDDS was, by astonish-ably far, the most courteous, informative, professional, easy, and "worth-it," dental group I have noted. The drive from Sycamore to them, worth it. Tooth extraction was under $250. Worth-it. Don't waste your time at other BS facilities, make the drive, its worth-it.

Consultation less than 3 minutes. Charged $96. What a rip off. Waited 1 hour to be seen. Not happy

Worst dental practice. Excessive pain, swelling, bleeding and infection. Five months later, all Dr. Kanter's work has to be redone.
