We have an amazing team of dental professionals that care deeply about what they do and the people they serve.
Jessica has been in the dental field for over 15 years now. She graduated from Johnson County Community College with an Associates of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene. She has been with our team over eight years. What she loves the most about her job is not only caring for people but the relationships she gets to build with her patients. In her free time she enjoys reading, outdoor activities and being around friends and family.
Erica has been in dentistry for over 10 years. She graduated from Johnson County Community College with a degree in Dental Hygiene. She truly enjoys helping patients understand the importance of healthy teeth and gums and how it relates to total body health. When not at the office, Erica enjoys traveling to visit family and spending time with her husband, Brad.
Kayla has been a dental assistant since 2008, taking a break along the way to stay home with her two sons. She loves how dentistry is always changing and improving, giving her new challenges and new procedures to learn. Being able to work alongside the dentist, restoring smiles and overall health of our patients is what she enjoys most about what she does. When not working, Kayla spends her time with her husband and sons, golfing, fishing, hiking, or anything else outdoors.

KC Dental Works has the best dentist in all of KC! Dr. Humphrey is a rare doctor in that he truly cares and has conviction of what materials he uses to fix cavities. He is also SMART certified which means he can safely take amalgam (aka toxic mercury) fillings out and replace with non-toxic materials. He replaced all of my fillings and now I am mercury free! I am so thankful I found this dentist. As long as I'm in KC, I'll be going here and telling everyone about it!

Great experience working with Dr. Humphrey. I reached out to KC Dental works after seeing another dentist who recommended multiple fillings. For some reason I decided to seek out a second opinion and was fortunate enough to find KC Dental works. Dr. Humphrey recommended only 1 filling instead of the 5 fillings recommend by another dentist. The filling was quick and painless. Honestly could not ask for a better experience.

My son had a lip and tongue tie revision at 8mo. We had an amazing experience! Dr. Humphrey and his staff are kind, welcoming, extremely knowledgeable and gentle. My son's revision went tremendously! If you're thinking through a potential release procedure see Dr. Humphrey!

The dental assistant used to be super careful and gentle, but the last time I went, she had hit a spot that was really sensitive. Which, that is understandable and it happens. But instead of leaving that spot alone, she went right back to the same exact spot again, making it hurt even worse. Knowing that spot hurt me the first time, any reasonable person would stop. But she didn't care at all that I was in pain. Now I'm too afraid to come back. It's a shame, because I really did like this place.

Dr Humphrey is so incredibly kind and cares about his patients oral and overall health. I came to him desperate for answers and he helped me find them! His office staff are also incredibly helpful and have taken the time to kindly answer all of my silly questions. If you are looking for a dentist that truly cares: Dr. Humphrey is your guy!

Dr. Humphries is hands down the best dentist I've been to! After many, many bad experiences with dentists who over-treat, finding Dr. Humphries has been like winning the lottery. First off, his bed side manner is amazing. If you have any anxiety about going to the dentist, there isn't a better dentist out there. His is so kind and compassionate. He talks with you, not at you or down to you. I haven't had a dentist before who actually lets you talk and listens. They generally want to talk at you and have zero desire to listen to your concerns. Secondly, he looks at dentistry from a whole-body approach. I ended up bringing my daughter in for a second opinion when her (now former) pediatric dentist claimed she had several cavities. He confirmed she had none, but went through a thorough exam and asked questions to rule out any behaviors/things that may predispose her to cavities. It was amazing. He has done the same with me, drilling down to root cause of negative dental health and how to support good dental health. The only negative.... He is so great and that it makes him extremely busy and hard to get in to! I wish he could be cloned! :) I hesitate to even leave a good review for that reason, but it should be known that he is unlike any "regular" dentist. Maybe that's a note that other dentists should take!!

Wow, what a refreshing dental experience. I recently found Dr Humphrey and I am so thankful. He is willing to get to the root cause of the problem and gave me some great preventative suggestions to prevent the same issue in the future. It's no wonder this practice is so popular. They are truly helping people!

Dr Humphrey is a fantastic dentist and a wonderful human being. He's very gentle, comforting, charming and will make your experience pleasant and uplifting. KC dental works is quite unique! Besides regular cleanings and checkups, it offers ozone therapy- to promote faster healing and tongue-tie release procedure. Best office in KC!

Dr. Humphrey is my favorite dentist I've ever seen. He is very kind and the office staff is great. I really love that they have a holistic approach to dentistry. The office is always immaculately clean and tidy. I will be a patient of Dr. Humphrey as long as he is practicing in the Kansas City area. I have recommended his practice to many friends as well, and I have not heard anything but good things from them, too. Thanks for all you do KC Dental Works! :)

John Humphrey Jr, DDS is fantastic and kind. This office is refreshingly up to date and comforting. I feel his phone calls need to be answered with a personal service not a recording. There was a technical problem and my two recording calls were not returned which cause concerns. His dental skills on all levels are excellent.

Dr. Humphrey is a great dentist and an awesome person, and Sarah at the front desk is awesome too! They are both friendly and helpful. The office is beautiful, and is very modern and bright. The location is great too, being close to the interstate and highways, and it is easy to find and get to. Plus, there are many restaurants, pharmacies, coffee shops, etc close by which also makes it a convenient location!

Love love love this dentist. The atmosphere and the people are amazing. Very knowledgeable, caring and professional. I drive 40 minutes away to come here, it's worth it! I'm terrified of dentist and he made me very comfortable.

I started going to this dentist after I had a very bad tooth pain and I wanted someone to look at me that day. Dr. Humphrey listens to what you have to say, whenever options are possible he will present them and he does whatever he can to accommodate your specific needs. His assistants are ALWAYS great as well. It is a very clean and airy office. Dr. Humphrey stands behind his work and he does the work because he enjoys helping people. I started going there out of need, and now go because I choose to, even though I have since moved a good distance away. The only detraction is that if you try to call the office you will usually get the voicemail, but I promise that if this happens it is because they are busy giving their undivided attention to the people in the office at that time.
