We believe in conservative and preventative dentistry, and use kid-friendly language to help children understand what we are doing. We believe in working with families to help them develop realistic habits that can promote a healthy smile for life. At Kangaroo Smiles we know how stressful dental treatment can be for both children and parents. For that reason, our top priority is to ensure that you are completely comfortable with all aspects of your childs dental visit.

After growing up in sunny California, I moved to NY to pursue my dream of becoming a dentist. However, after visiting Massachusetts I knew this was home for me. So even though I was not born here, I feel like a true New Englander in my heart.

After dental school, I decided to become a pediatric dentist because I feel passionate about changing the stigma associated with dentistry. I know that if I create a safe, happy, and caring environment for children to receive dental care, then I will have a lasting impact on that childs future. Kangaroo Smiles has always been a dream for me, and I am so happy that I have this awesome environment to do what I love. When I am not at Kangaroo Smiles I enjoy cooking, wood working with my husband, and taking care of my fish!

Today was my daughter's first dentist appointment, and I will say the experience went really well. The hygienist was especially kind and sweet, understood it was my daughter's first time at the dentist, and did a great job keeping her calm and engaged. That for me was the biggest plus! She left happy, and that's incredibly important given not too many people actively love going to the dentist. A few of the things I found interesting about the office that I would do differently -- it was really dim and kid of dark in the waiting room. Maybe because they had a projector, but it made my daughter immediately pretty fearful. The TV plus projector was a lot of stimulus before going into dentist (especially for the first time). There weren't any blocks or puzzles or anything else to really play with. So from that standpoint, not a huge fan of that part of the experience. And this last one, can't really say what the evidence of it is, and I'm sure it could go both ways, but the chairs for getting the cleanings are all in the same room so my daughter could see other kids. Helpful maybe if the other appointments are going well, and she didn't seem to have a problem with it, but I can imagine if another kid is having a hard time it might freak out my child (this last one is just an observation-- they did have other rooms which I'm sure they use if a child needs their own space). (sharing as a prompt from the office, with a gift card and potential to win a raffle-- BUT this is my genuine review from today)

My 2.5 year old loves going to Kangaroo Smiles in Methuen. Her first appointment was for a chipped front tooth and they took such good care of her and made her love going to the dentist. Second ever appointment was today and they were so kind and gentle with her to make sure she was comfortable. She was so excited to receive a slinky toy! Thank you for giving her a positive dental experience and for saving this mom a lot of stress and worry.

Methuen Office. This dentist office is not only adorable and fun for the kids, but their service and competence is one of a kind. I bring both my kids there. Ages 2 and 4. I highly recommend them!

Everyone at Kanagroo Smiles Methuen are so great! My daughter is only semi-verbal with a lot of sensory issues and not super trusting, gets very nervous and everyone was so kind, gentle and patient. They allowed me to stay with her and even gave me extra tools to use myself infront of my daughter so she would copy me! I feel they went above and beyond. And in the end my daughter left happy and smiling.

I have a child who was diagnosed with autism and going to the dentist was a stressful ordeal. I was asking online if anyone knew of any dentists who have the patience to help us. Someone suggested Kangaroo Smiles and WOW. They have so much patience and they suggested the best day and time to bring him. The first visit she even sat on the floor with my son talking to him so he can be comfortable with her. I now take all my kids there and love the staff and clean offices they have.
