We believe in working with families to help them develop realistic habits that can promote a healthy smile for life. At Kangaroo Smiles we know how stressful dental treatment can be for both children and parents. For that reason, our top priority is to ensure that you are completely comfortable with all aspects of your childs dental visit.
After growing up in sunny California, I moved to NY to pursue my dream of becoming a dentist. However, after visiting Massachusetts I knew this was home for me. So even though I was not born here, I feel like a true New Englander in my heart.
After dental school, I decided to become a pediatric dentist because I feel passionate about changing the stigma associated with dentistry. I know that if I create a safe, happy, and caring environment for children to receive dental care, then I will have a lasting impact on that childs future. Kangaroo Smiles has always been a dream for me, and I am so happy that I have this awesome environment to do what I love. When I am not at Kangaroo Smiles I enjoy cooking, wood working with my husband, and taking care of my fish!
Lily Hu, is the Director of Anesthesia and Pain Control and Assistant Professor at the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where she teaches all anesthesia-related curriculum for pre-doctoral, postdoctoral, and continuing education level students. Dr. Hu earned her DMD degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and completed her dental anesthesiology residency at Stony Brook University Hospital in New York. She is a diplomate and a board director on the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology. Her clinical practice involves providing all levels of anesthesia care to pediatric, special needs, and adult dental patients in dental offices and dental school clinics throughout New England region. In addition, she is a visiting lecturer and clinical instructor at Harvard School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Hu lectures locally and nationally on sedation, general anesthesia, and emergency management topics.

I visit from North Chelmsford. A nice and clean place with friendly staff. I expected the doctor to spend a little more time with us to answer our questions. She came in, did the exam, and left; less than 2 minutes. We had to ask our questions from the assistant!

Very friendly atmosphere. My daughter had crowns put in and she did surprisingly well. I appreciate that it was done in a separate room with a door for privacy. Wait time was awesome. We were in and out in 30 minutes, but did not feel rushed at all.

The Lowell office was cute, welcoming, clean, and bright. The staff were all very kind and patient with my very nervous 3 and 1 year olds. No shows or things to watch while kids get checked if that's important to you.

This place told us they were filling a cavity and our daughters came out with multiple silver teeth. Never told us this was a possibility. Would have rather payed extra for white crowns. Worst dentist I've ever seen.

Brought both my kids to this practice for a cleaning and a check up. One kid needed help with removable of baby tooth and was told that the next available appointment was more than a month away. No same day appointments for treatment and not reasonable time frame for treatments so I wouldn't recommend this practice.

My child is always excited and cared for whenever its time for his routine. He recently toke x-rays and the assistant couldn't have been nicer and more professional than what she was! Didn't catch names but I always remember faces really well! Usually when dealing with kids of small ages people tend to get this fake appeal when handling, but not the staff here always genuine with my son and therefore it makes the process seem a lot easier for kids who may or may not get nervous when coming to a doctors office. Even though the offices are Lowell + Methuen, I don't mind the drive to something of this service from Chelmsford to there. Always 5 stars for me, Thank you all !!!
