I love being one of the front faces at our office! I have the pleasure of greeting all our patients and helping them feel relaxed and comfortable before one of our wonderful assistants or hygienists bring them back for their visit. I truly enjoy helping our patients with any questions and/or scheduling needs. I have always been a people person and being able to work with such an amazing practice makes it that much more enjoyable! Our doctor genuinely cares and it is so much fun to witness the outstanding care he provides. Dr. Kanellis and the rest of the staff make coming to work every day such a wonderful experience. At home, I spend my time with my loving husband Rich, and our two sons, Leonardo and Tiago. We enjoy camping, BBQing and watching football. Go Vikings!

As our Office Manager, I am here to help our patients with scheduling, treatment planning and financial options. Our office has an amazing atmosphere that I am truly lucky to be part of. Our doctor loves what he does and it shows through his supportive and encouraging attitude. My family and I have been patients in this practice for many years and I am truly blessed to work with a team of people I admire. After work, I am lucky to come home to my wonderful husband and two beautiful children. We love camping, hiking, and anything outdoors.

As a registered dental hygienist for our practice I have the pleasure of helping improve the oral health of our wonderful patients everyday! I am so blessed to have the opportunity to work with our compassionate and talented doctor and his staff. We are a fun and friendly team, striving for excellence in patient care and customer service. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Northern Arizona University with a Bachelors degree in Dental Hygiene in 2005. I am fully licensed in Nevada to provide routine and periodontal dental cleanings as well as administer local anesthetic and nitrous oxide. My profession continues to challenge yet reward me daily. The best part of my job is developing relationships with all of our great patients! At home, I enjoy spending time with my family which consists of my husband, Brandon, and our sons, Beckett & Calvin. We love to travel, hike, snowboard, and exercise together.

I work here as a registered dental hygienist. I am a Nevada native, graduating from Sparks High School and the University of Nevada, Reno. I completed my Bachelors degree in Dental Hygiene at UC-San Francisco in 1987. My duties include performing dental cleanings, periodontal therapy, oral cancer screenings, digital radiographs, and educating patients. My favorite part of my job is developing relationships with our patients. I started working here in 1988, and love catching up with patients when they come to visit us. I want to help them attain optimal oral health, and also teach the importance of maintaining their healthy smiles. Our doctor makes me feel like a valuable asset to the dental team. He is kind, caring, and sensitive to the patients needs. At home, my husband, Don, and I are blessed with a daughter named Brooke, and two sons, Donald and Collin. As a family, we enjoy participating in outdoor activities including snow skiing, running, and tennis.

As a registered dental hygienist for our office, I get to work in a wonderful family practice where every patient is treated with utmost respect and compassion. I received my dental hygiene education at the Oregon Institute of Technology. I am grateful for the chance to help our patients attain optimal oral health in such a friendly and welcoming environment. I enjoy helping patients find better ways to care for their teeth and understand the connection between oral health and total-body health. Our doctor is a wonderful person and talented doctor at the same time! I learn a lot from him every day. I love helping our patients become more confident with their smiles, and I enjoy helping kids become comfortable at the dentists office. At home, I am married to my best friend, Marv. We have three wonderful children; Kira and Maci are twins, and Colton is our baby boy. Our family enjoys camping and fishing. I am also an aspiring runner, and love to read and horseback ride.

I am a dental assistant here at Kanellis Family Dentistry. I graduated from the Dental Assisting program at Truckee Meadows Community College along with my certificates in radiology and infection control. Some of my duties include taking reports, soothing patients nerves and assist the doctor for any procedures needed. I work with some of the most amazing people here, they inspire me to better my skills in the office everyday. The best part about my day is getting to know patients and informing them on how to better care for their teeth. Outside of work, I like to sew, go on camping trips with family, ride my bike and occasionally spend the day shopping.

I was born and raised in San Andreas, California. I spent most of my childhood playing year-round athletics. I moved to Reno in early 2019 with 3 years of dental experience. My favorite part of working in this field is the patient interaction and being surrounded by the amazing staff here at Kanellis Family Dentistry. I look forward to getting to know each patient and I work hard to always deliver the best care possible. Although I come from a small town, Ive always had an aspiration for traveling and experiencing new life challenges. In my free time I like spending time with family by going fishing or camping. Im also a huge dodger fan! BLEED BLUE!

Dr. Michael Kanellis was born and raised in the Reno/Sparks area. He is a proud graduate of local schools Spanish Springs High School, and the University of Nevada, Reno. He received his dental training and education at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine. After completing his General Practice Residency at UNLV in 2014, he decided to return to Sparks and work in his hometown community.

Dr. Kanellis attended the University of Nevada, Reno as a student-athlete, participating in football from 2005-2007. He graduated with distinction, majoring in Nutritional Science, with minors in Analytical Chemistry and Health Ecology. Dr. Kanellis received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas; graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2013. After dental school, Dr. Kanellis chose to continue his dental training by completing a one year General Practice Residency. He gained experience in implant placement, IV conscious sedation, third molar extraction, and root canal therapy. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Northern Nevada Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD).

Fellows of the AGD follow a lifelong pursuit of continuing education to provide the highest quality of dental care to patients. The award symbolizes the professional responsibility of general dentists to remain current in their profession and reminds each member of the dental profession to continue to learn new techniques for their dental practice. Every dentist who applies for the Fellowship Award has their application reviewed by the AGD Council on Dental Education to assure that the high standards of the AGD are met.
