Our mission statement exemplifies our attitude both toward each other and toward the communities in which we serve.KRHC serves Elk, Cameron, and McKean counties with medical offices in Emporium and Ridgway and dental offices in Emporium, Kersey, Johnsonburg, and Kane. Bradford Dental is set to open this year, 2022.
Our organization continues to grow in order to provide much needed health and dental services to rural communities throughout Northern and Central Pennsylvania. The current service and success of the Keystone Rural Health Consortia, Inc. would not have been possible without the support of the community, past and present, the dedicated staff and committed board of directors, and the commitment shown by numerous individuals over the years.
In 1976 a group of Cameron County residents concerned about the availability and access to primary care services in Emporium and surrounding areas established the ground work and basis for which theCameron County Health Centerhas grown. The land in which theCameron County Health Centernow stands was made available through the help of Mrs. Ida Grimone and the Emporium Foundation. The building was constructed through generous donations from the community. The health center would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of the original officers, which included Francis Higgins, Nesta Morrison, Don Sestina, Patricia McBride, Bob Baldwin, Anne Spotts, Michael Fragale, and Albert Metz.
In the fall of 2002, it was with Homer Grimms vision and initiative to better serve the community with which theCameron County Dental Centerwas built. This Dental Center now adjoins the Cameron County Health Care Center building.
As Keystone Rural Health Consortia, Inc. saw the increased need for additional service sites for both medical and dental access, fournew sites were added to serve the Elk and McKean County areas. Fox Township Dental Center and Ridgway Medical Center opened in early 2016. Our latest addition and our first site in McKean County came February 2018 in Kane, PA. With the closure of two hospital based Dental offices there was a large and immediate need for dental services in this area.
Additionally, in order to maintain and improve our quality of care and our patient services, KRHC conducts ongoing patient evaluation surveys at each of our sites. Patients are asked to voluntarily respond to a questionnaire and are given the opportunity to provide detailed information about their experience at any of our KRHC facilities. Survey results are carefully reviewed by the Executive Directorand the Quality Improvement Committee, and then shared with the Board of Directors and staff.

Absolutely under no circumstances would I go here to get a tooth pulled again. My wife went today and the oral hygienist was the nicest lady ever, however the male dentist himself is ridiculous. He didn't wait until my wife was numb, she could feel absolutely everything when he extracted her INFECTED tooth & didn't even prescribe her a antibiotic for the infection afterwards. He had the worst bedside manner, and at one point when my wife said "ah" (not yelling, mind you) the male dentist said "you can't be screaming we have other patients". After the tooth was extracted he proceeded to show me the tooth and said "do you see that?", it sounded so demeaning and ignorant. I can't even believe he is allowed to be employed anywhere. His assistant (also very sweet) looked shocked and mortified when my wife said she could feel everything and he just kept digging away and popping the infection. If I could give this place -5 stars, I absolutely would.

Dr. Was very efficient and Honest as well as Staff. I felt comfortable. Nice office, awesome dental chairs . All together, a great dentist I would recommend this office, for sure.

Waited for 4 appointments for approximately 3 months. Canceled by word of mouth when I arrived claiming COVID contact of the hygienist. Soonest reschedule for my appointments is December 13th.

Love this office but the wait times are getting a bit out of control. They need to expand or stop taking so many patients a day. It's at least six months scheduling wait time due to COVID & over an hour wait in office to be seen. Surely this isn't the best way to do this. :/
