A native of Pittsburgh and self-described nerd, Dr. Kampas balanced academic pursuits with a love for the outdoors, and with church and community involvement. After earning his Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology at Michigan State University, he spent a few years doing research in a big pharma lab which included work in a viral containment lab. He thenpursued dentistry and an orthodontics specialty at the prestigious University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. The University of Michigan is widely regarded as the finest institution for dental and orthodontic education in the world. He served as his dental class president.
With a practice history that includes thousands complex orthodontic cases, Dr. Kampas philosophy revolves around a total dedication to individualized patient attention and care. His expertise includes all types of braces, including Invisalign, clear braces, digital orthodontics, surgical orthodontics, and dentofacial orthopedics.
Dr. Kampas is committed to the pursuit of continued proficiency and excellence in orthodontics. In addition to traditional braces, he has been utilizing the Invisalign system for close to twenty years, helping patients achieve the beautiful smiles they deserve without metal braces or wires. He attends multiple training sessions and continuing education lectures every year and is active in the American Association of Orthodontists, American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association, Pennsylvania Orthodontic Association, and the Western Pennsylvania Society of Orthodontists.
A firm believer in community involvement, Dr. Kampas takes the time to reach out to the community in the form of local festivals and supporting local sports teams, and is committed to dental health education in the local schools. His dental health programs in the Mars, Seneca Valley, Pine-Richland, Slippery Rock, and the Grove City school districts have reached more than 50,000 elementary school children. He supports charitable causes such as the Susan G. Komen Foundation, Alexs Lemonade Stand for Childhood Cancer, Make-a-Wish, ALS Foundation, and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF). The CFF hold a particular spot in his heart because his oldest daughter lives with CF.
Dr. Kampas is also actively involved in his church community, Saint Kilian Parish, where he serves as a Lector and Eucharistic minister. He is a founding member of a non-denominational mens Christian fellowship group. He believes in a life grounded in Christs teachings.
Dr. Kampas lives a few minutes from the Adams Township office with his wife, three daughters, and two dogs and an occasional critter that finds its way into the attic. When not treating patients, he can be found camping, snow skiing, or spending time with his family or putzing with never ending home projects. He is passionate about all aspects of his life and shares that passion in his relationships with those he meets.

We were very impressed with the practice. They took time to explain the best treatment plan for our child. I appreciated their plan to wait a year until starting treatment because many of the issues will correct naturally. I believe they are truly working in my child's best interest!

Dr. Kampas and his staff have been fantastic to work with. They did a good job easing Cayden's fear of getting an expander and braces. At every appointment they are thorough, patient and informative. They make things fun for the kids by having different competitions, which Cayden loves. We highly recommend Dr. Kampa and his staff for all of your orthodontic needs.

I have 2 daughters currently receiving treatment with kampas. We couldn't be happier. My daughters are on the shy side and they feel very comfortable there. Whenever my girls have an appointment I am completely filled on what is happening with their treatment by the staff. I would recommend them to anyone!

Kampa's has been great with my 8 year old. The staff are super friendly and take time to explain everything to you. My daughter feels relaxed there which is hard for her at times. She's getting her expander off soon and time for some braces . She's excited!! We highly recommend Kampas!

My girls both enjoy going to the orthodontist as the staff is friendly. DR. Kampas is very kind and gentle with the kids. They also enjoy the points for good report cards, dental hygiene, wearing their shirts, etc. The doctor and staff have always fully explained everything as well.

Dr. Kampas and his staff are awesome! My son was very nervous about getting his braces. Dr. Kampas very patiently answered all his questions and was gentle with putting his braces on. The staff are friendly and the office is always clean. I will definitely be taking my other son there for his braces.

Going to the office is like going home Everyone knows you by name. You carry on conversations like you've known each other for years. The Doc is always in a positive mood . I am 59 and they make me feel like I'm a teenager again. Definitely worth getting my teeth fixed.

Kampas Orthodontics was a lucky find for me and my family. The staff, and Dr. Kampas are truly the best around. Dr. Kampas is a wonderful person. The kids feel instantly comfortable with him. He has a great sense of humor and knows how to be gentle and caring. Five years, two kids later, and never once have we ever left disappointed. The office is clean, the staff is always friendly, organized, and helpful. They are thorough with their process, they do a wonderful job explaining X-rays, and adding/removing braces. They work with you on a plan that you can afford too! They also are very timely. You're not sitting there waiting forever past your appointment time. They have a very good flow and keep things moving beautifully. And the staff is great at following up for future appointments etc. You walk in the door and see pictures that other kids have drawn for Dr. Kampas and the staff. They have a welcome banner for the new patients, and have pictures of the patients that had their braces taken off. They even offer a hot beverage in the waiting area for you. It's a very warm atmosphere filled with happy, very caring people. They do a great job everyday and really do deserve high praises. You honestly won't find better and I highly recommend Kampas Orthodontics to everyone.
