Dr. Michael Kalimian attended Manhattans prestigious Stuyvesant High School, a unique high school for New York Citys most gifted students. From there, he received his Bachelors degree from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, where he was elected to the Deans list.
Dr. Kalimian went to dental school at Columbia Universitys highly respected School of Dental and Oral Surgery in New York, New York, earning his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Dr. Kalimian then went on to obtain his advanced orthodontic training at New York's renowned Montefiore Medical Center.
One of Dr. Kalimians main objectives is to provide the latest, most advanced, and most efficient treatments to his patients. As orthodontics is a constantly evolving discipline, it is essential for him to stay on the leading edge of developments in treatment methodologies and technological advances. Continuing education allows Dr. Kalimian to provide his patients with the best options available to achieve truly dazzling smiles. He frequently attends conferences and lectures in order to be on the cutting-edge of new products, treatments, and techniques.
Dr. Kalimian grew up in Kew Gardens, New York, and currently resides in Great Neck, New York. Dr. Kalimian met his wife, Melody, at a charity function in New York City in 2011. They have two little boys, David and Noah.
Dr. Kalimian loves spending his free time with his family, whether theyre visiting museums, cooking dinner, or just relaxing on the couch. Dr. Kalimian is exceptionally good at trivia and addicted to reading about random things on Wikipedia. Next time you see him, dont be afraid to quiz him!

I've been taken my daughter to Kalimian Orthodontics for the past year and half. Always professional and yet personable and friendly. The office is top notch with latest equipment. On our first visit my daughter thought we are at beauty salon. Dr. Kalimian always explains the process and makes it comfortable and understanding. Highly recommend this office for your orthodontics needs.

Dr Kalimian is amazing with his service and personality. He is great with children. My 9 year old daughter is very sensitive with everything. She got an expander and braces and not once she complained about pain. He is also quick in returning call/email if you have questions or concerns.

Dr.Kalimian is a great, professional, kids friendly, patience's doctor. My son has his first braces with Dr.K and he is super super happy about it. The office never over booking their patience, No wait time! Dr.K is always the only one to check on my son's braces status, not like the other doctor, asking assistant to do everything, and doctor only show up with their face to say hello. The office also offer many payment options with affordable payment plan. Dr. K never over charge us. Not talking about money at all except the first consultation estimate. I have already referred a few of my friends to Dr.K, and will definitely keep referring to anyone who need it. I will give him 10 Star if there is an option. Come here if you need it, you will not regret!

My 8yo son has been seeing Dr. Kalimian for about two months for partial braces. We couldn't be happier or wish for a better professional. Dr. Kalimian is exceptionally skilled, efficient, and wonderful with children. He is also responsive and caring and will go the extra mile to make sure everyone's needs are met. I highly recommend Dr. Kalimian to anyone looking for a pediatric orthodontist.

During my son's last appt, I mentioned to Dr. Kalimian that, at this point, my son would be inviting Dr. K to his wedding. I can explain. My son has had bad experiences with dentists in the past, so I was apprehensive about him evening considering getting braces. Dr. K was referred to us by my son's pediatrician. We did an initial consultation with him in November of 2021, and a few weeks later, my son was in Dr. K's chair getting braces. It was a smooth and painless process. Dr. K did an excellent job of educating us on what to expect, so my son was well prepared going into the process. After the initial procedure, Dr. K was great about follow-up and made himself available via phone and email. He was also good about last-minute emergencies. Currently, my son is happy with his braces and the improvements he is seeing. He looks forward to his regular visits with Dr. K. I believe it's because of his bedside manner and the fact this his office isn't crowded, and he gives my son his undivided attention.

Dr. Kalimian is amazing! It's always a pleasant experience when visiting him. I originally received braces from another orthodontist and had a horrific experience. I found Dr. Kalimian and he took over, completed the job, and gave me the best smile ever. It's now four years later and he's still my first call! So grateful to have met him!!

Dr. Kalimian is amazing! His office was clean and I was immediately greeted by him when I walked in. The receptionist was extremely friendly and I didn't have to wait very long! My consultation was very quick and Dr. Kalimian made everything very clear and laid out all of my options. I never felt pressured to do something to my teeth that I didn't want to! I will be working with him for all my orthodontic needs in the future for sure!

I've gotten multiple comments about how great my teeth look after I got my braces off. Dr. Kalimian is patient and honest - I broke my permanent retainer and he stayed late in his office to help me out. Highly recommended!

Dr. Kalimian is amazing! He is very courteous and professional. When I first took my daughter to his office for a consultation, he answered all my questions and concerns, and I never felt like I was pressured to have my child's orthodontic procedure done at his office. He even said not to rush until my daughter is fully ready and prepared; in fact, we did not return until three months after the consultation. Since then, every visit at the office has been very pleasant: the appointments are always kept on time, never more than a 5-10min wait, and the young lady at the front desk is always so helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend Dr. Kalimian to anyone who's seeking orthodontics!
