I graduated from Ferris State University as a Dental Hygienist and with a BA in Allied Health Education. I have been with this practice for over 30 years. I love what I do and thoroughly enjoy meeting and establishing a relationship with my patients. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my three adult daughters, husband Mark, and close friends, as well as running, hiking, biking, and traveling.
I graduated in 1993 from Kellogg Community College with an associates degree in applied sciencedental hygiene. Even though I no longer work chair-side, I enjoy using my years of dental experience and knowledge to help patients navigate the insurance and financial aspects of dentistry. My husband of 26 years and I have two teenage sons and three dogs. We have recently moved back to our hometown of Battle Creek where we live on thirteen acres. I always enjoy spending quality time with my family, being outdoors, baking, reading, and watching movies.
Kathy has enjoyed being a dental hygienist since 1982. She has been with Kalamazoo Smiles since 2019. Kathy is married to her husband Fred. They have three adult sons, two wonderful daughters-in-law, and four amazing grandkids. She is involved in her church, enjoys family time, camping, walking, and doing puzzles.
Jeanne joined Kalamazoo Smiles in 2019. She has an associates degree in dental hygiene from KVCC and a bachelars degree from Michigan State University. Her passion is to help clients to have good oral hygiene and to be comfortable at their dental visits.
I graduated from Kalamazoo Valley Community College in 1985 with an associate in applied science and also studied health care services at WMU. I strive to make each visit pleasant and truly enjoy establishing relationships with patients while educating them about their dental and overall health. My husband and I enjoy gardening, cooking together, and playing board games with our son and daughter-in-law. I also love to stay active with aerobics and outdoor activities like biking, hiking, swimming, and skiing. You can find me relaxing with my cat Dusty and a good book in hand.
I had the unique opportunity to start dental assisting for my father at a young age and later worked with him full time for almost three years. I have been with Kalamazoo Smiles since summer 2019 and am having a great time. I love watching old movies, reading, camping, the Rocky Mountains, playing games, and spending time with my husband, son, and three daughters.

I'm sorry to say this but my procedure was horrible. The building is cute, very aesthetically pleasing on the outside and inside, even the receptionists were warm and welcoming, but the procedure was not. I had 6 tooth extractions done all in one day. Now I'm wondering if it would have been better to split it between 2 sessions, but that doesn't matter anymore. I'm already going into the dentist office feeling anxious and they didn't tell me until I got there that they ran out of nitrous oxide. Mind you, I don't go to the dentist as often as I should, so I had no idea how much of important drug that was. So we decided to continue with the procedure anyway. My entire body was tense for the full 2 hours of being there. It felt like they used pliers and a flathead screwdriver to get my teeth out. Yeah sure the numbing medicine was there, but I shouldn't have been sweating and as tense as I was the entire time. I didn't expect my jaws to be cranked the way it was. I understand that I could have been an intricate case, but there's no shame in saying that I needed to go to a specialist for the care I needed. It was horrible, this visit affirmed my dental anxiety. By the time it was over I just wanted to go home and cry. 0/10.

I love Dr. Bandos as my new dentist! Her office works me in to be seen as soon as possible and she always makes sure I am comfortable. I got my wisdom teeth out recently with her and I was very pleased with the experience. I will definitely be going back!

Everyone at Kalamazoo Smiles are very nice and caring people. They get you in right away and schedule you as soon as possible if not they put you on call when a cancelation happens. My wife and I did a lot of shopping around to find the right dentist near the Kalamazoo area before we chose Kalamazoo Smiles. The staff is super friendly and made us comfortable during our exams and cleanings. They were also an "in network" provider with United Concordia!

I'm really happy with this office. Everyone has been very helpful, we have been attending for now 1 year and had a couple of dental cleanings for the entire family. My kids feel Very comfortable, my 6 year old is kind of hesitant to sit in the dentist chair and here we have found a great team, very patient and so smart and empathetic with my kid. Last visit he left saying: This is one my favorite places to visit mom . They surely have done a great work

I hadn't been to a dentist for several years. I was having pain and scheduled an appointment here quickly even though I had never been here before. I was told that I needed a root canal and that they could do it that same day. I didn't need to feel pain anymore waiting for another appointment.

Very friendly staff. I like how they explained step by step what they weee doing when I got my crowns done. I get bad anxiety when I go to the dentist and they were understanding and made me feel very comfortable.

Kalamazoo Smiles is a great place if you're looking for a knowledgeable dentist that truly cares about your teeth. They were able to look to my teeth and fix a few ongoing issues I had, and even saw me a few weeks later just on a walk in situation due to my teeth feeling a bit sore from the procedure. Love the staff and the dentist, would highly recommend. Plus, the great tunes they play during any type of tooth work is just a bonus!
