Dr. Arestea Kakaris earned her DDS (Doctorate of Dental Surgery) from University of Detroit having completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan where she earned a degree in microbiology. She has trained with some of the worlds most prominent laser dentists as a microbiologist and continues to do implant post graduate training at Ohio State University, University of Michigan and London Ontario. Additional training includes extensive training in cosmetic dentistry, specialized training in dental sleep medicine, and Invisalign certification.
Recognized as an expert, Dr. Kakaris lectures within the general and medical communities on implants, sleep apnea, patient management and Invisalign. Her focus continues to be the patients health as a whole with a strong emphasis on the latest in dental diagnostics and technology.
Our team of dental professionals reflect up-to-date skills with the latest dental techniques and industry standards. We give each patient one-on-one attention to explain procedures, listen to concerns and answer questions.

I had to get an emergency filling while I was traveling, and I absolutely loved the care I received from Dr. Kakaris and her team! Thank you so much for making a dental visit so wonderful! If you are looking for outstanding dental care you will find it here!

Dr Kakaris and her staff at the office represent the word "family" very well. My experiences there are always fun (even though dentist office have a representation of being scary) and I always leave out with a smile on my face. Dr kakaris nor any of the other dentist there dont make me feel pressured to do anything I don't necessarily want to do at the moment but they make sure I know the reasons why they recommended me certain treatment. That is the main reason why once I went there for the first I made it my dental home every since. I highly recommend them to my family and friends.

This woman is a CROOK! The Two root canals she did cracked and failed. She used up my entire dental budget and left me with huge cavitys untreated. Asked about cleanings and maintenance was blown off. I very clearly made sure I had no balance when I left the office only to get a bill (through collections) for almost $800. She got my daughter good though. Sued her for the quality work she didn't do. Charged her another almost $800 (hmmm..) over her yearly allowance. She prays on Autoworkers and their families. She was the only dentist available in the middle of the night. She's got quite a game going. Don't do it

Went in to office 9-21 for pain issues dr proceeded with a root canal for me with no $$ numbers ahead of the procedure ..was givin antibiotics and shipped home to coke back finish up for next week. Pain still continued went back had it finished the small tooth repair 1200$ for the root canal the one that was causing pain was one next to tooth pain has not been healed I had purchase 2nd insurance to cover expence the office manager Nately is very rude I told her I was going to another dentist to get my other root canal done so she needed to bill my ins co asap for the one to max itself out she told me if I go other dentist I'm committing fraud and she threatens to sue me for balance owed I told her I work uaw I'm not worried about money and she was being ignorant to what policysSs I have I have enough to cover both root canals she told me on more one occasion she wanted to sue me that to me is a threat. I refuse to EVER go back this dentist horrible customer service and the Natily needs to work at a attorneys office not customer service

The people there are super nice however how long they make you wait is completely unprofessional. If your appointment is at 3pm you can expect not to go back till 5pm. The wait there for a scheduled appointment is ridiculous.

I've enjoyed this place since the 1day I had to call I had a middle of the night emergency on a Friday they took me in for the earliest appt on Saturday . A Root Canal was performed and I been back for cleanings fillings and most of all it's time to get these wisdom teeth removed and they make me so comfortable I'm ready for thESE BIG PULLS !! Thank you !! And Dr Kamari's is the sweetest and she also explains everything so direct !

Dr. Kararis is the best. She and her team have the patience of Job. I have been seeing her for years now. And was referred to them because they have a traveling mobile dental office that used to come to where I worked. I brought my brother to see her too who is afraid of needles and dentists.. I thought that there would be trouble but he was on the gas for 4 hours cause he wouldn't numb up and they were so patient and so kind. He did really well and he loves them and plans on going back too. I don't have anything bad to say about this office whatsoever.

DO NOT come here for root canals I wasted $1200 on one that literally took 8 hours! YES 8 whole hours of PAIN. Their representative was EXTREMELY rude and that's when I said okay I will go somewhere else. I went somewhere else to find out the root canal that was done here FAILED because it was not done correctly. If your tooth has crazy looking roots PLEASE DO NOT TRUST THIS LADY go see a root canal specialist. This lady doesn't have a clue on what she's doing she's just in it for the money.

Grateful I was able to get a same day appointment for a wisdom tooth extraction- not too jazzed that his staff took a bunch of unnecessary and pretty painful X-rays that I did not ask for, but was charged $500 for. Be warned: He does not take Medicare or Medicaid- but takes Care Credit- I had to deplete mine, thanks to this costly service. Thanks again, but I am not too happy with the exorbitant price tag.

I was a new patient and they got me in right away for my check up and cleaning, which was very convenient. Eventually had to get a permanent crown, which looks and feels great. Dr. Kakaris-Porter and staff are professional, friendly, and efficient. Beautiful downriver office. Would highly recommend them.

I've been going to Dr. Kakaris all my life. Everyone knows I hate the dentist but she keeps me comfortable and deals with my constant pain and complaining. I complain every time I'm there about my long wait but at the end of the day, she's worth the wait. So a lil tip to everyone complaining about the wait, try to be the first patient of the day and you'll never leave her. I tried twice and both times I went running back to her!

Was in excruciating pain from what turned out to be 3 abscesses. Was seen immediately and even without insurance was actually pretty affordable. I expected to pay considerably more. Wasn't without pain but all things considered was as pain free as they could make it without knocking me out completely. To say I was pleased with my experience would be an understatement. Went to this place to get a fixed retainer removed. Dr. Kakaris did the removal and after that we asked her if she could fix a crooked tooth. To what she replied "yes". She could do it with a plastic retainer and it had to be done in several sessions. The first session she used a mold to make the retainer. The second session she gave us the retainer. The retainer was putting too much pressure on the teeth and it hurt. That's why on the next visit, she filed the tooth using a dental polishing strip to make the tooth get into place but the tooth did not go into place and it did not work; she created a space between the crooked tooth and the tooth next to it. On another visit, she put a putty into the crooked teeth and put too much pressure to get the tooth to move and that did not work as well. When she realized it did not work, she said that an orthodontist had to check the tooth out. On the appointment with the orthodontist, he said that the only way for the tooth to move was with braces. I asked him why she started a process she had no idea. She was brought to see the damaged in front of the orthodontist and she denied everything. She ruined the tooth and the jaw due to her putting too much pressure; they tried to tell us that they could cover the space between the crooked tooth and the tooth next to it but that was not going to work because they damaged my teeth.
