I have been very happy with my Kaiser Dental experience for many years (>20), and have encouraged others to get KP dental coverage. I have been trying to get an appointment for a cleaning for several weeks, and no one can make an appointment, they say someone will call me and they never do. Finally they were able to make an appointment at a different office but if I do that I am required to change permanently to that office, ie change hygienist and dentist. No one seems to be able to explain why that is necessary, or how long I might need to wait for a cleaning appointment if I chose to stay with the Tigard office. Very disappointed but I may choose to change dental coverage at this point.

I am frustrated and upset with Dr.Barrows bed side manor he's very aggressive and yelled at me during my appointment. I will not be coming back to see him. I've worked in the medical field for 7+ years as a Medical Assistant. So my experience with doctors is very familiar. I understand a lot. He didn't go through the procedure and he also didn't stop when I raised my hand as he didn't wait long enough for my mouth to be numb before injecting me with novocaine. He told me it's fine it's going to hurt and he knows what he's doing... He didn't stop to make sure I was okay as I was about to cry and freak out because the pain was unbearable. I hope he doesn't treat any other patients like this. I'm not happy.

Alicia was an amazing hygienist! I suffer from severe anxiety and panic attacks, one of my triggers is the dentist. Even with the use of nitrous and my regular prescription medication even something as simple as cleaning is very difficult for me. Alicia made me feel comfortable and calm every step of the way. Her voice was soothing and and her demeanor was never impatient or rushed. I hope that anyone that has a problem like mine gets to work with someone like her. She truly made a difference for me. And I hope to have my future cleanings done by Alicia if possible. This was at the KP Dental office on Hampton St in Tigard OR on Sept 7 at 2:30pm (I hope my putting down the info of my visit prompts someone at your office to please let her know what a difference she made for me.

Larissa put me at ease and had me laughing before a possible root canal. She was wonderful. Dr. Shih is patient and made sure I understood everything that was happening and that I was comfortable as he worked. My only complaint has nothing to do with your employees. It is that you don't have enough employees. I have been referred to an Endodontist for the actual root canal and advised I won't be called to make the appointment for 4 - 6 weeks because they are so backed up. That is a long time to wait for a root canal. I ran into the same issue trying to make an appointment for my next cleaning. I have never had a dentist office not be able to schedule the next appointment when finished with the current cleaning. I have to put on my calendar to call them in 4 months as they can't make the appointment further than 2 months out. That is not taking care of your patients. I blame this on whoever is making these decisions at Kaiser. Not the local office. Very frustrating to work with Kaiser making appointments. Your employees are great, not so much whoever is trying to run the show.

Tamanh was fabulous. She went way above and beyond to help my teeth shine/get rid of the stains, was super helpful and pleasant--and gave me gentle but firm encouragement to get going with regular flossing. Thank you!

My dentist Dr. Peng and his assistant Heidi are the best. They have worked diligently to get my new lower partial to fit and be comfortable without fail. I have had him as my dentist for the last 8 years and I even followed him from Clackamas to the Tigard office. Unfortunately I won't have Kaiser when I go into retirement. I will miss him. Had a root canal on the emergency appointment. my tooth ache was terrible, and no recovering from the root canal is terrible. The service of the Dentist and the nurse was great. Friendly, informative, quick. They even noticed I was Woozy and made me take oxygen before I left.

This is from Joan Malane. I had a very pleasant dental cleaning appointment and consult with the dentist today. Tamanh did a great job without picking into my gums. Anyway a thumbs up for everyone there including the front desk.

The dentist Dr.Peng was very knowledgeable and kind. . He did a thorough exam and explained the upcoming procedures . The x-ray technician was Debbie and did all the x-Rays necessary and was as gentle as possible . Lisa was the woman that will be cleaning my teeth . Very knowledgeable of what was needed . She was also a caring person . My experience with the Tigard Dental Clinic was very good . It is the first time at a dentist that I wasn't tense and fearful .

I went in and had a very long wait. Their x-ray machines were down, so my appointment took a really long time too. The dentist was nice though and they did get me in for an emergency appointment.
