As an orthodontist, I value the opportunity to be a part of creating beautiful smiles for our patients. Most patients begin treatment very shy and unwilling to smile because of their crooked teeth, but during the course of care, they blossom into more confident individuals. As they see their teeth become straighter, they begin to appreciate the work that they and our team have done to achieve this transformation. At the end of treatment, patients are more confident as they proudly display their life-long investment of a bright and beautiful smile. They are now ready and prepared to begin a new phase of their life.
I am passionate about building lasting relationships with my patients and their families and driven by seeing the changes that occur in my patients personalities as their treatments progress. Our patients get to know us better and are more willing to share their personal experiences with us. Because of their trust in our team, we have a chance to touch their lives with positive words of encouragement.
Orthodontics is rewarding, personally and professionally, because we help so many people and become a part of their lifes journey. The friendships that we develop with our patients and their families are enriching, and I find myself learning new things every day as a result of the conversations that I have with our patients. I love that!
I avidly pursue continuing education (CE) in the form of lectures at national and regional meetings, as well as participating in monthly and weekly seminars and webinars. I am particularly interested in CE courses which highlight new and innovative techniques and devices used in orthodontics. By keeping up to date on developments in the field, I am able to provide the highest quality of care to my patients.
After growing up on the Caribbean Island of Trinidad and Tobago, Ive called Silver Spring, Maryland my home for more than 15 years. My husband and I are parents to two awesome sons. My boys play many sports, including basketball and baseball, and my husband enjoys coaching some of their teams.
Spending quality time with my family and friends is important to me, as well as quiet time reading and studying the Bible. I enjoy attending my sons games and cheering on their teams. My hobbies are swimming, lawn tennis, and basketball.

Dr. Karlene-Anne Hill has been providing affordable, timely, and comfortable orthodontic care to patients of all ages since 2002. She opened this practice so she could deliver care the way she feels is right: offering a range of treatment options, flexible financing arrangements, and working with each patient and thefamily to find an orthodontic path that is best for them.

They will not prioritize what you want done. If you do not allow them to make maximum profits, with odd treatment schemes, they will not treat you and will not assist.

At best Dr. Hill is incompetent in her profession, at worst she is a grifter only interested in getting a quick paycheck at the expense of her patients. She completely botched my Invisalign treatment when I should have never even had that type of treatment and left me with a less than subpar final product. I was left in limbo for years trying find a way to fix my smile and had to spend an additional $6,000 and 2 extra years of treatment in braces on what could have been fixed years ago if she was even remotely a decent or professional orthodontist.

I came to Dr. Hill while in high school back in 2013 or 2014 to get my teeth straightened. I had asked for Invisalign but as someone who was a supposedly a knowledgable orthodontist she should have known that Invisalign was not only insufficient but entirely the wrong treatment. I should have been put in braces and had a left over baby tooth extracted and started treatment to have the adult tooth moved with power chains and brackets into its proper space. Turbos and springs should have also been used to fix my severe overbite as well. We had consistently brought up our concern to her over the baby tooth and the adult tooth that had grown into the wrong space and she would brush it off or say something like "we can fix it later with a veneer or surgery or something". The treatment ended and no solution ever came for my misplaced tooth and the final product of the Invisalign treatment was shoddy to say the least. My smile was far from perfect and still crooked and out of place. Fast forward to age 23 and after many visits from different dentists/oral surgeons I am finally given a solution and it involves a long and uncomfortable 3 years of being in braces with a number of extremely uncomfortable appliances. Because of Dr. Hill's lack of knowledge, care, and foresight I'am now 24 years old undergoing terribly uncomfortable treatment with braces that I could have gotten over with in high school if it wasn't for her. It truly seemed like Dr. Hill just wanted to get me in the Invisalign's and get money off of us and send us on our way. I would not recommend her under any circumstances unless you want to have to end up what I'm going through in your mid 20s.

I've experienced such a terrible experience today, they messed up my 800 dollar retainer and then didn't want to fix it at all. Then they only offered to fix my top retainer not my bottom, even though I complained numerous times how I didn't like my retainer at all. Seems like they don't want to pay for their mistakes. I'm currently using a liner as a retainer since they don't want to fix my bottom one. I can't even get a 400 dollar refund even though they messed it up. I left feeling so bad ! I feel like I was treated terrible overall. I was given cheap flimsy liners 2 times and never my real retainer!!!!. I was told to wear my liner for 2 weeks and never got a real retainer !! Very unprofessional! Be careful and I had to pay 800 for the real one even though I never received it the first time. I'm in shock honestly, it's all about money and greed at this location. They don't care about the patients here. I paid 7,000 for braces just to experience this. Not worth the time I spent here at all.

We used K. Hill Orthodontics when my now grown son required braces. I went back to see Dr. Hill when it was my turn to fix my smile. She and her staff are a joy to work with and I would recommend their services to friends and family.

Treatment system isn't very effective in my opinion. My son is twelve they expect him to change rubberbands every two hours no matter what, when he is in school and not always gets a chance to change them but he wears them every day and tries to change them as often as possible. This practice made me sign a form of Poor cooperation, I feel this is very pessimistic and so Uncatering to patients. I had braces when I was a teen and was never asked to change my bands that often I have also spoken to other people whom have had braces and they were never asked to do such thing. I have referred my brother who is now a patient there, never even got a thank you. Never recommending this practice again. In addition, I have been present when there is patients unhappy with the results and they blame it on the patient.

Because they are so unorganized and Bc they keep on Rescheduling my Appointment each time like at the end of my Treatment and now I have my Braces off and I don't even have a Retainer like they said it would take 5 days to make a retainer like boys bye it takes other Orthodontist like an hour or a day to make a Retainer but for me 5 days something feels fishy in there. And as of right now I don't have my Retainer and I can already see space. I did not pay my money to get my braces off and to see gaps again when it takes them FIVE days to make a dame Retainer. Also even when I ask them a question they seem they don't like there job because of how they Response. Overall it should not take them 5 days to make Retainer and if I see my teeth Shifting I swear to god I am getting my braces free. Mark my words

We started with this pratice over 2 years ago and all was great. Friendly, professional service. Really like Dr Hill. The past three months we have seen a significant drop in service. Long waits, phones rings and rings, incorrect information give to patients. Not sure what has happened but I am now eager to get my child done with his Braces! Seems like their office staff has changed and the friendly and attentive is staff of the past is no longer employed. Very sad!
