Jyoti Shah, or Dr. Shah as her patients call her, is known for her caring touch and humorous tone, making even the most nervous patients comfortable. Dr. Shah helps her patients in all areas of dentistry, from preventive dental care and dental emergencies to crowns, dentures, root canals, implants, and more complex forms of restorative care. For the last 30+ years, She is constantly learning and is up on all of the most modern techniques and technologies, and has no shame admitting that there is so much more to learn and grow.
Dr. Shahs dental education journey started at the Bombay University Nair Hospital Dental College, where she received a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (B.D.S). After coming to the USA, Dr. Shah decided to attend NYU School of Dentistry and earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S). Her passion for knowledge and continuous learning has made it possible for Dr. Shah to complete advanced training with world-renowned The Dawson Academy, with a special focus on solving complex dental problems,s and earned a Dawson Scholar qualification. Dr. Shah is a certified Perio-Protect Provider(minimally-invasive, comprehensive treatment for bleeding gums), has Qualified Dentist designation from the American Academy Of Dental Sleep Medicine, a certified Invisalign provider, a certified light force orthodontics, a trained Healthy start provider which focuses on sleep disorder breathing problems in children and more. Dr. Shah is constantly researching and implementing changes to make her patients experiences more comfortable and treatment more successful.
Dr.Shah was born and raised in Bombay, India. Came to the USA at 20 years of age, bring with her Indian values, and has adopted American culture. She and her husband, Suketu, reside in South Brunswick since 1998. Dr. Shah is a proud mom of twin professional sons. To keep the harmony between her mind, body, and soul, Dr. Shah routinely practices hatha yoga. She enjoys cooking, cycling, long walks, and spending time outdoors, exploring amazing National Parks and trails.
Jyoti R. Shah, DDS Dr. Jyoti Shah has been practicing dentistry now for 26 years, and in the town of North Brunswick, NJ since 1998. Her education began at the Bombay University - Nair Hospital Dental College, where she received her undergraduate dental training. After coming to USA, Dr. Shah decided to attend NYU School of Dentistry to further her education. She received her diploma and graduated in 1992.
Dr. Shah is an active member of various professional organizations including, but not limited to: American Dental Association, Indian Dental Association, and New Jersey Dental Association. Dr. Shah is also an active member of Donated Dental Services, where she donates her talent and skills to the most vulnerable people: disabled, elderly, or medically-compromised individuals who cannot afford necessary treatment nor get public aid.
At home, she is busy mom who recently retired from the chauffeur duties, as her children started driving. I generally put off my dental appointments due to an extreme fear but I was experiencing some pain & had to go. I located Dr.Shah via the Internet and Gabby got me in within 2 days. My experience was phenomenal! There was no pain or discomfort at all! Dr. Shah made me laugh, answered all of my questions and made me feel comfortable from the start! Dr. Shah and Gabby constantly deliver excellent service! I chipped my front tooth and they were able to accommodate my busy schedule and squeeze me in for an emergency visit. Dr. Shah did an amazing job at bonding the tooth and I left the office feeling extremely satisfied with the work. I've had unpleasant experiences with other dentists in the past but Dr. Shah always makes me feel comfortable and really understands my dental needs. Highly recommend her for any work you need done.

I met Dr. Shah and Gabby today and I was truly amazed by both their skills and kindness. Gabby was able to schedule me today for a cosmetic need (bonding on my front tooth had chipped). Dr Shah did an expert and meticulous repair, triple checking that everything looked and felt right before finishing. After addressing the immediate problem, both Dr. Shah and Gabby offered helpful advice to improve my long term dental health.

The doctor took the time to explain to my kids the various parts of the tooth and the importance of proper dental hygiene. She also showed the health of their teeth through the various photos of their teeth. Great experience!

Very safe, very clean especially now during CoVID. I was initially skeptical and wanted to delay my visit but am so relieved at the care and steps taken to make each patient feel so much at ease. Very friendly staff and Dr, Jyoti Shah is thorough and definitely the best. Feel lucky to have found the right orthodontist to treat both our boys

Dear Dr. Jyoti Shah and wonderful staff, I thank you for taking time to provide THE BEST dental treatment from many years and taking periodically panoramic full mouth x-ray, initially was not my interest. After your explanation about importance, I agreed for periodic panoramic full mouth x-ray. This time on panoramic full mouth x-ray, after your diagnosis and recommendation to meet ENT specialist, I visited Dr. Sabin, ENT specialist. After CT scan and Brain MRI, he diagnosed Brain Meningioma in curable stage. I must say 'THANK YOU' for your patience, professionalism, hard work, and commitment for offering outstanding dental care.
