Dr. Sharna was raised in Marlboro, New Jersey and knew when she was very young that she wanted to become a Pediatric Dentist. She is passionate about treating children in a fun and comfortable environment. Dr. Sharna understands childrens fears and can relate to them. Unfortunately, as a young child she had several cavities and became afraid of going to the dentist. Due to her own phobia regarding going to the dentist, she made it her goal to make dental visits easy, comfortable and pain-free for her patients.

Dr. Sharna was accepted to a seven year accelerated dual degree program. She completed her BS in Engineering Science at the New Jersey Institute of Technology and graduated Magna Cum Laude. She then completed her Doctorate in Dental Medicine at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and graduated within the top ten percent of her class. Dr. Sharna was then accepted to one of the top Pediatric Dental specialty programs at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center. She served as Chief Resident and graduated with a specialty in Pediatric Dentistry. This hospital based residency program provided specialized training in pediatric dentistry, sedation dentistry and care for children with special needs.

Dr. Sharna then completed additional training and coursework and became a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She recently completed her 10 year recertification exam.

Dr. Elyse Kerschner strives to create a lasting, fun and positive memory of going to the dentist for kids. She is a strong believer in preventive dentistry and teaching children and their families healthy habits to encourage a life time being free of dental disease.

Originally from Albany, NY, Dr. Kerschner earned her B.A. in Biology at Binghamton University. She then attended New York University College of Dentistry to complete her Doctor of Dental Surgery. Falling in love with NYC, Dr. Kerschner continued her dental training at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn completing a general practice residency and two year specialty training in pediatric dentistry. She is AAPDBoard Certified Pediatric Dentist. In her spare time Dr. Kerschner enjoys traveling, yoga, biking, cooking and reading.

Dr. Devina Shah was born and raised in central New Jersey and received her DMD at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. She continued her advanced academic endeavors at Tufts, where she also earned a Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry. She practiced in Boston for two years prior to moving back home to New Jersey. During her final year of dental school, Dr. Shah was the recipient of the Jack and Anne Rubin Senior Prize Award in Pediatric Dentistry, an award given to a student who had displayed exceptional outreach to the community, dedicated service to underserved populations, and the intention to pursue pediatric dentistry as a career.

Dr. Shahloves the challenge of treating childrens dental needs while nurturing bonds of trust, confidence, and friendship with them. Shehas volunteered on dental outreach trips to the Dominican Republic, Cambodia, and Mexico where she has provided free pediatric dental care to underprivileged children. She has also participated in Give Kids A Smile, a national charity event providing free dental care for several years.

Dr. Cory Aceto is a New Jersey native and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania where she received her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences. She went on to attend New York University College of Dentistry, earning her Doctorate of Dental Surgery. After dental school, she completed a General Practice Residency at NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue in Manhattan where she also served as Chief Resident. Dr. Cory practiced dentistry for two years in California before moving back to the East Coast to further her training at NYC Health + Hospitals/Woodhull in Brooklyn where she completed a two year specialty residency in Pediatric Dentistry. She is a member of the American Dental Association as well as the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and is board-eligible with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. In her spare time, Dr. Cory enjoys road trips, baking, hiking, and spending quality time with friends and family.

Dr. Raya Abu-Zahra is a Board-Certified Pediatric Dentist, and is dedicated to providing the highest quality dentistry to each child in a positive and nurturing environment. She grew up in Michigan and received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, and went on to complete her dental education at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. While in dental school, she served as chapter president of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, completed two pediatric focused dental mission trips to Guatemala, and volunteered her time treating underserved populations. This fueled her passion for pediatric dental care and she completed her Pediatric Dentistry Residency at the Childrens Hospital of Wisconsin. She received extensive training in behavior management, use of nitrous oxide, sedation dentistry, and treatment of patients with special needs. She also spent a significant amount of time completing research with a focus on patients with special health care needs, and is proud to have written several published articles.

Dr. Raya also completed an Executive MPH in Health Policy and Management, and a Postdoctoral Oral Health fellowship through Columbia University. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, the National Network for Oral Health Access, and the Association for State and Territorial Dental Directors. She resides in Manhattan with her husband, daughter, and son. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, volunteering, reading, cycling, and exploring the city.
