For example, Dr. Phil Chahine is one of fewer than 10 percent of North American dentists to receive a Fellowship from the Academy of General Dentistry. He was also voted a Top Dentist in Columbus by his peers for six consecutive years.
Our dentists help educate other dentists in the latest treatments and techniques. Dr. Chahine has been an instructor at The Ohio State University School of Dentistry. Among the areas in which our five dentists have received special training:
Dr. Phil Chahine became a dentist to offer compassion while helping people achieve their dream smiles. The most rewarding part of his job is seeing the confidence patients regain when they feel good about their smiles. A highly trained and experienced dentist, he believes each patient is unique and different, so each requires personalized and individualized care. Dr. Chahines philosophy is to treat his patients like friends in a professional, state-of-the-art, nonthreatening environment. He takes the time to listen to their needs and help them understand their treatment.
Dr. Chahine graduated in 2001 from the University of Montreal with a Doctorate in Medical Dentistry (DMD) degree at the age of 22, making him one the youngest graduates ever for a DMD or DDS program. He completed his postdoctoral advanced training at The Ohio State University Medical Center, earning a GPR certificate. In 2007, Dr. Chahine received the prestigious Fellowship of the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD), a distinction awarded to only 7 percent of North American dentists and symbolizing excellence in the dental profession. He is one of the youngest dentists in the country to ever receive this award, thanks to his commitment to providing the highest quality of dental care by remaining current in the profession.
Dr. Chahine is one of the premier dental providers in central Ohio. His peers voted him Top Dentist in Columbus in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021 in surveys published in the Columbus Monthly magazine. He is also an Invisalign Premier Provider, having completed over 200 cases of clear aligner treatment over the years. Additional training and recognition includes:
Dr. Chahine undertakes regular postgraduate education classes to stay updated on the latest techniques and materials available in the world of dentistry. His extensive training covers many areas of dentistry, including endodontics (root canal therapy) and dental implant restoration. He has accumulated over 1,500 hours of continuing education since 2002, and he is on track to obtain the Mastership of Academy of General Dentistry (MAGD).
He also regularly lectures to the students at The Ohio State University School of Dentistry, where he is an Associate Clinical Instructor. In addition, he speaks at study clubs and other professional dental organizations. Finally, he serves as the Official Dentist for the Nationwide Childrens Hospital Championship Golf Tournament, held yearly at The Ohio State University Golf Club.
Dr. Chahine lives in Bexley, OH with his wife Liz, daughters Leila and Ava, son Alexander, and their beagle Bonnie. In his spare time, Dr. Phil enjoys good food, skiing, golfing, and traveling. He is a huge fan of the band U2 and an even bigger hockey fan, mainly rooting for the Montreal Canadiens and hoping they win the Stanley Cup every year! He no longer gets on the ice himself due to injuries.
Dr. Shelley Thompson, a native of central Ohio, grew up in Mt. Vernon. She received her Bachelor of Science from Otterbein College (yes, back when it was the College), then obtained her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from The Ohio State University in 2001.
Dr. Thompson loves giving her patients quality dental care in a nonjudgmental environment and strives to treat her patients as she would treat family members. Dr. Thompson has served for several years on the Board of Directors for KidSMILES, a nonprofit pediatric dental clinic that serves the underprivileged children of central Ohio. The clinic is fully run by volunteer dentists and dental hygienists. Dr. Thompson still enjoys volunteering her time at the clinic.
Dr. Thompson resides in Dublin, OH with her significant other, Brandan, son Trent, and stepdaughters Olivia and Isabella. Pippa, the chocolate Lab, is the pride and joy of the family. They enjoy traveling, good restaurants, concerts, sporting events, and training for races.

I highly recommend Just Smiles. The entire experience was top notch. Every employee is kind and considerate. The doctor and hygienist did everything they could to make my visit comfortable and relatively painless free.

I have been going to Just Smiles since 2009. I went thru a full round of invisalign treatments with Dr. Phil from 2010-2011. I had not went to a dentist from 2000 until Dr. Phil and Just Smiles in 2009. Beth was my initial hygienist and was just so friendly, kind, and caring. My wife and I absolutely love these people!!! And we drive 50 miles round trip for several years because they are 2nd to none!!! I just can't say enough about Just Smiles, who would have thought somebody could get so excited over dental appointments

Let me preface this by shamefully admitting that I haven't been to the dentist in 7+ years. First of all, I was blown away when I walked into the facility: it's very spacious and nicely decorated. The rooms all look comfortable and clean, and the lobby is spacious, though a little more searing probably couldn't hurt. Anyways, I came here because it was in my network and because it's been too long since I've had my toofs checked out. Dr. Phil and Andrea were absolutely incredible and I would highly recommend Just Smiles to everyone!

Ever leave a dentist saying "I love it here!"? Yeah, me either. Until I came to Just Smiles. I'm being serious. The hygienist was gentle & not judgmental for having not been to the dentist for 5 years. The doctor was truly kind & threw tons of compliments at me, even when I knew I didn't deserve them. I will actually, and truly, keep up with my appointments now.

Every once in a while I go back to this review and cant believe the attorney general hasnt gone after them. Legitimately stealing from customers, and no matter how many times I called, I never got a call back. Have the papers to prove it, they just truly do not care because they know they can get away with it. Even the insurance company called them frauds... The dental work was fine. The details if you happen to go... they purposely calculate coinsurance first to make it seem like your deductible doesn't count towards what you pay... it's wrong. Very much so. Edit: i have no proof the owners/dentists were behind it, but clearly they know about it, and have allowed it to continue.

Dr. Phil and Dimitri did an awesome job with my brother. I was in the room as the worked on his teeth and they were very cognizant to make sure he felt comfortable and talked him through every step of the way and went above and beyond to give him the best experience he could have. I love coming to Just Smiles! My experience for each visit is always great. The staff is friendly and helpful and Dr. Phil has been great! My invisalign journey has been wonderful and I would 100%recommend to all!

I have been coming here for the last 3 cleanings and one crown. The hygienists are nice, but this place will overcharge you. It was within 5 min of my house, so I put off finding a better place. I'd look elsewhere if I were you.

I've always had this irrational fear of going to the dentist. This is the first dental office that I have actually felt comfortable going in for cleanings. The staff is friendly and helpful. They never make me feel like I'm being judged by my teeth like other offices. If you hate the dentist I would recommend visiting this office.
