Dr. Rayes began his career providing dental services to adults and children in the remote villages of Alaska utilizing small aircraft and portable dental gear in the remote areas of Dillingham, Alaska and on Kodiak Island. After 8 years of service, it became clear that he loved working with children and this led to his decision to return to the University of Michigan School of Dentistry for 3 years of additional training to attain a masters degree in pediatric dentistry. After his training, Dr. Rayes returned to Alaska to continue his Public Health Service. While in Alaska, he was instrumental in the development of a Pediatric Dental Residency Training Program in cooperation with NYU Lutheran and the Alaska Native Medical Center. He became a clinical instructor and taught pediatric dentistry initially, and eventually was selected to be the Director of the training program and has been teaching and directing now for 8 years.
Dr. Rayes is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, and after years of lectures, research and publishing articles on Pediatric Dentistry, he was selected to serve as a National Oral Board Examiner for the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. In addition, he is a member of the Qualifying Examination Committee in which he participates in writing questions for the national board examination.
Dr. Rayes has received numerous honor awards throughout his career including the Kenneth Eastlick Award for Academic and Clinical Excellence. He was recognized for his leadership skills and outstanding service to children by receiving an early, exceptional capabilities promotion to rank of Colonel/Captain in the US Public Health Service.
Dr. Rayes is an avid pilot and loves spending time with his lovely wife Lisa and their 3 children; Ava 7, Shane 4 and John 2 as well as their family dog Ghita. They enjoy a number of outdoor activities including kayaking, hiking, camping, are all avid fishermen, and they love snow activities including snowshoeing, skiing and of course the children love to dogmush! The family also loves to farm.
Dr. Davis graduated with her dental degree from The Ohio State University where she received the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry Achievement Award. She then went on to complete two additional years of training in the Advanced Education in Pediatric Dentistry Program at the Alaska Native Medical Center in Anchorage Alaska, where Dr. Rayes was the Program Director. After her residency training Dr. Davis practiced in Bangor, Maine and served as faculty for the pediatric dental residents at Penobscot Community Dental Center. She then practiced several locations in New Hampshire before joining Just Kids Pediatric Dentistry . Dr. Davis is Board Certified by American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and is a Fellow of The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. She has served as Secretary/Treasure and President of the New Hampshire Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. In her free time Dr. Davis loves to bake and spend times outdoors hiking, snowshoeing, and exploring New England with her husband Jared and daughter Clara.

My daughter's (3.5 yrs) first experience at the dentist was better than I could have imagined. Nicole was so sweet and gentle and Dr. Rayes was personable and made us smile! Copper was also a real treat. She can't wait to go back in May!

Went in for our daughter's chipped tooth. She LOVES going to the office (in fact, her experiences here are the reason she wants to be a dentist). Dr. Rayes was his normal, friendly, kind self. We cannot speak highly enough of the office- the BEST! We have been many times for a variety of reasons and every single time had a great experience.

Elisia is awesome with our two toddlers. One is a shy, the other is always 5 paces in front of me and she handles them both incredibly well. Our ability to schedule their appointments one after the other is a huge time saver. I couldn't imagine going anywhere else.

These people are great. Every tech we've ever had has been fabulous. Doctor Rayes is extremely smart and always involves you in the decision-making. My child, from young onwards has always been comfortable with all of them and they interact in a completely appropriate and fantastic way to put her at ease. I can't recommend them enough.

No one loves going to the dentist, especially children. Just Kids does a fast and efficient job and it's apparent that they really care about their patient's comfort. They do a good job and they are skilled at it. If you choose to decline certain services or products they are gracious about it and not pushy, which I really appreciate.

Absolutely LOVE Just Kids! And so do my kids! The way Dr. Steve and Dr. Rachel explain things to their patients (and their parents) in age appropriate, calming, and fun ways is fantastic. All the staff is lovely and the environment feels supportive and safe (even during COVID!). Best ever!

Excellent once again. We had a dental emergency the day we were flying out for vacation and Just Kids got us right in and took excellent care of my son. Now we can enjoy our vacation pain free.

My son had his first fillings there and all the staff had a very gentle and calming chairside manner. Were very helpful in terms of what treatment options were available. Asked for an insurance estimate for said options and they were great and provided a write-up on each which helped in our decision making. At first I didn't think it was necessary to send my son to a pediatric dentist, but glad we did as I think it really made it a better experience for him.
