I have the opportunity to collaborate with parents in the care of their children, and establisha great foundation of good oral health care practices that shouldmean a positive dental experience for that child for a lifetime! Not too many things are more important in life than a great smile! There is nothing better than teaching a fearful child that dentistry can be fun, and then getting that precious hug and thank you from that same child. I attendedFresno State Universitywhere I completed my bachelors degree in biology/zoology.I attendedLoma Linda University School of Dentistryto obtain my Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1993.I was the first resident ever accepted to Loma Linda Universitys new Post Graduate Program in Pediatric Dentistry.After becoming a certified pediatric dental specialist, I opened my practice in Redlandsin 1995.
Education is a continuous process. I am constantly making it a priority to stay informed aboutallthe latest advances in pediatric dentistry. I also teach a number of continued education courses to dentists, dental hygienists, and dental assistants, as well as various parents groups with a focuson pediatric patient behavior management, preventive dentistry, oral hygiene instruction, interceptive orthodontics, and pediatric dental trauma.
Most of the people on our team are parents themselves, so they can relate to the parents who trust us with the care of their child. This really is a special place for children, and we are devoted to making it the best. We love having fun and include the kids and parents in our playtime!
I married my high-school sweetheart, Cheralyn. We have three teenage children:Jordyn, Janelle, and Tyler. They are all amazing kids! We also have two horses (Cole and Carmaq),three dogs (Toby, Axel, and Ava), eight fish,and 40 chickens! In my free time, I enjoy playing golf and cooking awesome meals for friends and family. I participate in Race Across America, a seven-day, 3,000-mile bicycle race from California to Maryland and am a lifelong Angels fan!
I have been amember of the Ride Yourself Fit and Team Learning for Life bicycling teams. Theirpurpose is to encourage people to get out and get active as well as raisefunds and awareness for educational programs fordevelopmentally challenged children and teens.
My wife and I are active in ministry in our church, teaching couples Bible studies. I have also served asthe chairman of the Tri-County Dental Societys Give Kids a Smile committee, which has provided one million dollars worth of free dental care to children in the most needy areas throughout the Riverside and San Bernardino Counties.

Cheralyn (a.k.a. The Tooth Fairy) is an RDH who has a passion for children with unmet dental needs. Her heart breaks every time she sees a child with a broken smile. As the Tooth Fairy, she travels to many schools throughout the Inland Empire, to visit classrooms and teach the children proper eating and oral hygiene habits. Ginas warmth and joy makes every child and parent immediately feel welcome. Shes cheerful, friendly, and you to be part of her family. Gina and her husband have two grown daughters whove blessed them with seven wonderful grandchildren. For Gina, loving her family is her fulltime ministry, along with her strong faith in her savior, Jesus. Youll meet Gina at the front desk, where shell greet you and your child, update your records, schedule visits, and answer questions about insurance.
Victoria is always smiling and laughing with our patients. Shes a mother of two awesome kids and excels at supporting and encouraging even our most timid patients. Victoria is thrilled when shes able to help a child overcome their worries and learn that this is a safe place to visit. As an RDA, Victoria will work closely with you and your child. She takes X-rays, performs cleanings, and assists Dr. Nichols during procedures.
Nancy is an RDA with many years of experience working in childrens dentistry. A mother of three, she understands both a parents concerns and those of a kid. Always warm and reassuring, Nancy works as an assistant in our back office, supporting Dr. Nichols, her teammates, and keeping our patients smiling. Shes a newcomer to our practice and were thrilled to have her with us: youll see why when you meet her!
