Dr. Joe Parker has been a life-long resident of the Dallas/Fort Worth area, having grown up in Forney, TX and getting his undergraduate degree in biological sciences from Texas A&M University-Commerce. Dr. Parker was always into science, art, and health care, so naturally he decided to pursue dentistry as his chosen profession. After graduating from Baylor College of Dentistry in 2007 and practicing general dentistry, Dr. Parker realized how amazing and rewarding it was to work with children of all ages. He then pursued this dream by completing a pediatric dental residency at Childrens Hospital Colorado in Denver, which is consistently ranked as one of the top childrens hospitals in the country. While there, Dr. Parker received extensive training with special healthcare needs children and comprehensive dental care under both general anesthesia and oral sedation. As any native Texan would, he moved back to the Dallas area and found a home with Just For Kids. He was fortunate enough to practice in his hometown and loves being a part of the community.
Dr. Parkers favorite aspect of being a pediatric dentist is getting kids a great start with their oral health by having good experiences at the dental office. Dr. Parker is a board-certified diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, and maintains memberships with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Greater Dallas Pediatric Dental Society, the American Dental Association, and its state/local chapters. When not at the office, Dr. Parker likes to spend time with his wife, Jennifer, and their two sons, Braeden and Logan. He is an avid sports fan, following the Mavericks, Rangers, and Cowboys. From his experience in Colorado, Dr. Parker loves to ski and hike.
Dr. Lyanna Barnecet Prez was born in the beautiful Caribbean island of Puerto Rico. As a young woman, she decided to pursue a career where she could embrace her love for science, art and children. Dr. Barnecet Prez graduated from the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus, where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree, with a major in Molecular Biology. Subsequently, she continued her education, obtaining her Doctorate in Dental Medicine in 2018 at the University of Puerto Rico, School of Dental Medicine. During this time, her homeland was catastrophically hit by Hurricane Maria in 2017. Dr. Barnecet Prez volunteered in various affected communities in order to help them get their basic necessities such as food, water, and primary care needs.
In July 2018, Dr. Barnecet Prez continued her post graduate studies in pediatric dentistry at Case Western Reserve University, School of Dental Medicine and UH Rainbow Babies and Childrens Hospital. During her program she was able to enrich her skills in numerous experiences in the use of advanced behavior guidance techniques such as oral sedation, intravenous sedation, and comprehensive dental restorations under general anesthesia. In her second year of residency, Dr. Barnecet Prez was selected to be Chief Resident where she was able to strengthen her leadership skills.
Today, Dr. Barnecet Prez is joyful to have selected Just For Kids Dentistry of Forney as her new home, hoping to fill the practice with her energy and enthusiasm, as well as to help kids enjoy their dental visits, making their oral health her priority.
Dr Barnecet Prez spends her free time with her fianc, Juan, friends, and family. She is eager to explore everything related to food, music, and culture the city of Dallas has to offer. Dr. Barnecet Prez is excited to be part of the Just for Kids Dentistry of Forney community!

We have seen Dr. Parker for years, since my grown daughter was very young, and his respect for both the kiddos and their parents, making sure we understand things and actively listening to concerns, is equally matched by his gentleness and kindness. Today my 11 year old had a tooth extracted and I don't know why I am surprised every time our experience is the same. Megan was a gem and so sweet, too. As a mama who grew up with a fear of dentists from bad childhood experiences, I am so incredibly thankful that my girls' experience has been with Dr. Parker and the ladies at JFK. Thanks for being awesome!

Had a great experience today: Saturday my daughters cap came off her tooth, and need to be checked out: Monday I called and they got her in the next day, turned out they need to extract the tooth and put in spacers. This was also our first time at this Dentist office. Dr Parker and his assistant Megan M. Walked me and my 8 year old daughter through everything. Megan M has got to be the most friendly and sweetest person you could ever meet. They were beyond friendly and comforting and so patient. My 8 year old daughter didn't even feel them pull her tooth out. I could not have asked for a better experience.

We highly recommend this dentist office for absolutely everything ! They were very welcoming and thorough with everything, they made every effort to make sure we were comfortable and cared for and that we knew they cared about us as people. Words can't describe how grateful we were to find this office for our newborn.

Kiddo was having a dental emergency they were able to get lime in within 30minutes.! Turned out to be an infection and needed an extraction. Was able to get his extraction scheduled a couple weeks out with no problems and in an extremely reasonable timeframe. 10/10 recommend to anyone.! They've been nothing but absolutely amazing.!

Dr. Lyanna and her team are amazing. We were able to get an appointment for my son on the same day that we reached out. Dr. Lyanna checked in with us several times between our initial appointment and our scheduled follow up. We had a great experience and felt very well cared for.

We've been going to JFK for 8 years now and we love this place! From the front staff to the hygienists and the dentists, they are all so friendly and take the time to explain everything in detail. My girls have never feared going to the dentist because everyone is so kind and accommodating, not to mention the movies they get to watch during procedures! Thank you to everyone who is involved in my daughters' care!

My son had to have a crown put on at 7 years old, and I was a nervous wreck. Dr. Lyanna and her assistant, Elizabeth were amazing! They were both very kind, attentive, and professional. My boys will never go anywhere else.

As 1st time parents we were very anxious on finding the right pediatric dentist for our 2 weeks old baby. We are extremely happy that we found Dr. Lyanna at Just for Kids Dentistry at Forney! She was very knowledgeable and caring and made us feel very comfortable since day 1. After thorough evaluation and difficulty breastfeeding we made the choice of moving forward with a frenectomy on our baby and we couldn't be happier with the results. After not being able to breastfeed my baby on her first 2 weeks, the very next day after her appointment our baby started latching better and I've been able to breastfeed her since then, which was a huge priority for me. Dr. Lyanna explained everything about the process and didn't make us feel pressured, she explained the pros and cons and gave us time to think about it. I honestly cannot say enough good things about Dr. Lyanna and her team. They have been a blessing for us! We are happy and satisfied that we found the right pediatric dentist for our baby and we will continue going to Just for Kids for our baby's future dental appointments. If you are looking for a professional, compassionate pediatric dentist I recommend Dr. Lyanna and her team with my eyes closed. Thank you!!!

Me and my wife just had our first child, she was born with lip and tongue tie which causes difficulties in breastfeeding and other issues. We were very concerned on doing a Frenectomy procedure on our child at only 2 weeks old. Dr Lyanna Barnecet Perez did an amazing job walking us through how the procedure is done what to expect, us being first time parents we are were very worried about our child but she made us feel comfortable and we put our trust in her with our daughter. As the procedure was going to begin the group of nurses that came to help were very nice and friendly, the whole staff in the office make you feel like your child is in sage hands by professionals. Me and my wife want to thank again Dr Barnecet and her team for the amazing job they did on our daughter, the difference on her feeding has changed drastically! We are looking forward to keep visiting as our child grows.

I highly recommend Just for Kids Dentistry Forney! Dr. Parker is the best! I drive an hour to their clinic because I trust him and his staff with my children. Everyone is so wonderful and kind. My son recently had to have work done besides a routine cleaning. From beginning to end they let me ask questions and informed me and my son about what was happening so we felt comfortable. My son is very anxious, but he did great with their help! Don't just take my word for it, I encourage you to go see for yourself!

Hands down the best pediatric dentist! From the dentist to the staff!! Dr. Perez and Nurse Elizabeth was so wonderful with my son from start to finish. He came in crying cause was so nervous to leaving smiling. We have been going here since our oldest was 1 years old. Dr Parker and his staff are truly amazing (and beyond patient)!!! We're always greeted with kind welcomes & friendly faces - all the interactions with the kiddos are perfect! We went in for a tooth that was bothering my little one, they made a plan for us same day and got us in and out! If you haven't already found your dentist - STOP here (I def recommend them)!
