If I could give this place zero stars I would. I have given them chance after chance. The first issue was my daughter (4yrs) had her first appointment in 2021. I also had my 2 month old with me who was coved in his car seat. They told next time to find a sitter because of COVID. The next issue which was my last straw. My daughter had 2 successful appointments there, but last time she just wasn't having it and refused everything. I told the hygienist I'd to reschedule. She told me "if you let her cry, she'll just do it again next time and think it's ok." and then offered that the staff "hold her down, it's a quick cleaning". I'm sorry, but for a children's dentistry to offer to hold a child down? No wonder children are traumatized by the dentists office. Too bad because the dentist is a nice man. Too bad some of his staff stinks. Good riddance

I've given this place so many chances, but as a child life specialist who works with children in medical settings, this place is causing anxiety, trauma, and emotional harm of children. Ever since covid they temperature check kids by pointing the infra-red thermometer at the child's head rather than their wrists (maybe because we don't live in a particular crime capital, but you don't ever point something at someone's head and not create anxiety). Second, they require masking even though they work in mouths! This is even after requirements have been lifted. My dentist didn't require me to mask 2 months ago, so I guess this is just a special kind of continued torture for kids. Third, they insert a rubber dam mouth piece to keep kids mouths open and guarded at all times. This device is generally only to be used during certain dental procedures rather than at all times. Again, special torture. The staff disrespectfully pushed back on some of my preferences, like no fluoride due to health issues, and proceeded to do it anyway. My children are generally complaint, but are pushed beyond their coping at this particular dentist office. We showed up today for our appointments only to see masking still required. I'm done! Please don't bring your children here especially if they have any special needs as this will be a sure trigger environment. This facility and their staff would benefit from several in-services and trainings on serving children emotionally, not just getting the job done.

I have 3 sons who have gone to this dental office for about 3 years. Before the pandemic they were very timely, calling the patients back fairly quickly. During the pandemic and continuing on the wait times are horrible. It has taken 40 minutes to an hour to get called back. The staff are very quick and efficient, but then you wait another 30 to 40 minutes for the doctor to examine the patient. I have witnessed numerous parents ask when their child will be seen as they had been waiting long times. This is my only gripe. The staff and doctor are wonderful and thorough, but I don't have the time to set aside 3 hours for a dental appointment, let alone 3 appointments every 6 months. I understand things happen, but this is the normal now not just an occurrence.

Both our Dentist and Hygienist were wonderful. They were kind and understanding of the fact my son was nervous to be there. Thank you.

They were able to get us in for an emergency procedure the same day I called and did a great job at explaining everything to us and helping my daughter through the experience.

They are so courteous and friendly, not just to me as a parent, but to my kids. The kids are spoken to directly whenever possible and their comfort is always checked on.

Dr. Prishkulnik and her staff are excellent! They are kind, gentle and really understand how to care for children. We have had emergency treatment and regular cleanings with she and her staff at Santa Fe and Los Alamos locations and could not have been a better experience.

All 3 of my kids go here. Been using the offices for 3 years and never had anything but great experiences. Very personable, friendly, and great with small children. Used both the Santa fe and los Alamos office. Both are great.

This place was good until it wasn't. Went for our last visit today. The dental assistant was not good with my kid and took 40 minutes to put the wrong sized hardware on her teeth. How dumb and she was also lightweight rude. I guess being good at what you do isn't a big requirement for their staff. This place has really lowered their standards as of lately, they used to be better.

I love this place. I would highly recommend! The staff are super friendly and professional. They take very good care of the children. The doctors are amazing! They make things right even if it doesn't go as planned. My kids love it here. I would not take them anywhere else!

The office staff needs to work on their phone manners. Every single interaction I've had with them over the phone has been rude and condescending.

Very awesome to work with, understandable on my child's fears and apprehension. Did a great job in a relatively short amount of time for his work.

I have three kids and all of them are patients at Just for Grins. I wouldn't take them anywhere else. The staff is always super friendly, helpful, and so patient with the kids (especially my kindergartener). It's obvious they love what they do and they take great pride in providing the best services for anyone who walks through their doors.
