At Just A Smile Away Dental (Sabourin & Hayden D.D.S.) we are concerned with more than just the health of your teeth and gums. During a comprehensive exam in our office, we examine your tongue and salivary glands as well as the muscles of your head, neck, and jaw. As part of each exam, we perform a comprehensive oral cancer screening.

We have the expertise and equipment to conveniently treat many oral health concerns right in our Saginaw office. However, we always consider whats best for the patient. When necessary, we refer patients to specialists.

Oral health matters for many reasons. Teeth affect your speaking abilities. A person experiencing dental pain may have trouble focusing at work or learning in school. In addition, many studies link poor oral health to diabetes and heart disease. The American Dental Association estimates 164 million work hours are lost each year due to oral disease.

Dr. Sabourin graduated in 1995 from University of Michigan-Flint with a Bachelor of Science with Honors degree. He went on to University of Michigan School of Dentistry in Ann Arbor and graduated with a DDS in 2001. He worked in community dentistry from 2001 until 2003 when he founded his private practice. Dr. Sabourin has been a global lecturer training dentists, and orthodontists on accelerated orthodontic technology. Dr. Sabourin is one of the founders of My Forever Smile offices.

Dr. Sabourin is originally from Flushing and currently resides in Bay City with his wife, Ashley, and their daughter. They have a German Shepherd, Isabel, and one rescue cat, Frank. Dr. Sabourin is a car collector and historical architectural enthusiast.

Dr. Hayden graduated in 1996 from Miami University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He received his DDS degree in 2000 from University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry. In 2001, he completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program at University of Michigan School of Dentistry. From 2001 to 2011, Dr. Hayden worked in community dentistry where he for 8 years was an adjunct clinical faculty for University of Michigan School of Dentistry to AEGD residents and fourth-year dental students. He joined our practice in 2011. Dr. Hayden has lectured to dentists and orthodontists from all over the world on accelerated orthodontic technology. Dr. Hayden is one of the founders of My Forever Smile offices.

Dr. Hayden is from South Bend, Indiana (home of Notre Dame!). He currently lives in Fenton.He enjoys traveling whenever he has the opportunity.Dr Hayden also enjoys reading, rugby, bourbon, and growing orchids.

Rachael graduated from Delta College in 2001 with an Associate Degree in Arts and of Applied Science in Dental Assisting. She is also a graduate of Strictly Business: Dale Carnegie Training. She has worked in dentistry since 2001 and has been with our office since 2003. Rachael is originally from Kawkawlin and now resides in Saint Charles with her husband, son, daughter, and a feisty Boston Terrier. In her leisure time, Rachael enjoys summer weekends in Oscoda, random road trips to explore Michigan, reading, shopping(!), vacationing with family and watching college football; Go Blue!

Karen graduated with honors from the Saginaw Business Institute in 1982 with a degree in Secretarial Data Processing. She earned certification in Radiography for the Dental Auxillary from Delta College in 1990. Karen completed and graduated from Strictly Business: Dale Carnegie Training. She has worked in dentistry since 1980 and has been with our office since 2006. Karen is originally from and currently lives in Saginaw. She is married and has an adult son and two grandchildren. In her free time, Karen enjoys camping, bowling, visiting National Parks, and traveling to the Upper Peninsula.

Chandra graduated from Delta College in 2013 with an Associate Degree in Arts. She joined the Just A Smile Away Dental team in 2015. Chandra is from Hemlock and now lives in Saginaw with her husband, son, two daughters, and fur children. Chandra enjoys vacationing up north with her family, reading, shopping, and watching her favorite television series when she has downtime.

Tami graduated from Delta College in 2001 with an Associate Degree of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene. She is licensed in the State of Michigan as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH). She has worked in dentistry since 2001 and has been with our office since 2007. Tami is originally from Bad Axe and currently resides in Hemlock. She enjoys social outings with friends, cooking and vacationing with her family.

Dana graduated from Delta College in 2007 with an Associate Degrees in Business and of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene. Dana is licensed in the State of Michigan as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH). She has worked in dentistry since her graduation and has been with our office since 2013. Dana is originally from Bay City and currently lives in Essexville with her husband and two sons. She loves spending time with her family, shopping, and reading at every opportunity.

Lauren graduated from Delta College in 2012 with an Associate Degree of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene and has been working in the dental field ever since. She started with our office in 2016. Lauren grew up in Saginaw and now lives in Bay City with her husband and 2 sons. In addition to her two boys she has two fur children; Breezy, a Dachshund mix, and Boo, a calico cat. Lauren loves shopping, especially for decor, and enjoys doing home renovations and finding old furniture pieces to refinish.

Tammy graduated from Delta College in 2003 with an Associate in Applied Science in Dental Assisting. She started working with our office in 2019. Tammy lives in Chesaning with her husband, 2 children, and 2 fur babies. When shes not crafting in her spare time, she loves to travel and visit new places. On weekends Tammy and her family enjoy camping, kayaking, hiking, and ATV riding.

Jennifer graduated from Delta College in 2011 with an Associate Degree of Business Studies and has been working at Just A Smile Away Dental since 2017. She lives in Shields with her husband, daughter, a dachshund named Heinz and a cat named Gus. Jennifer enjoys exercise, especially running. She also enjoys spending the summertime in Traverse City with her family.

Kelly graduated from Delta College in 2016 with an Associates Degree in Liberal Arts. She began working in the dental profession in 2007 and has been with Sabourin & Hayden DDS since 2018. Kelly resides in Midland with her husband, three children and her German Shepherd, Deuce. When not at work, Kelly enjoys fishing, camping, and kayaking.

Kim studied accounting at Oakland Community College and has worked for 15 years as an orthodontic financial and insurance coordinator. She has been with our office since 2014 and assisted with opening the Troy location. Kim and her husband divide their time between their Ortonville home and their cabin up north. Kim loves to quilt and, when not at work, is likely to be at her sewing machine.

Mytraya began her career in the dental field in 2016 with an Associate Degree in Dental Assisting. She worked as a Registered Dental Assistant for 5 years until graduating from Delta College in 2021 with a degree in Dental Hygiene. Mytraya is from Saginaw and enjoy spending time with her family and friends. She also likes finding new and unique restaurants to experience.

Alle graduated from Ross Medical Education Center in 2017 with a certificate in Dental Assisting. She lives in Bay City with her husband and Alaskan Malamute, Mishka. Alle enjoys traveling to Canada,hiking, playing tennis and baking.
