Hi, I am Dr. Celeste and please let me be the first to welcome you to Just4KidzDentistry! We are so excited about the opening of our brand new state of the art Pediatric Dental office here in Southington! Thank you, for taking the time to visit our new website! I am so happy about this new adventure, as I have been practicing Pediatric Dentistry for over 10 years and now, I am finally fulfilling my lifelong dream of opening my very own practice. As a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist and a mother of two children, I know how important it is for parents to find a comfortable dental home for their children. That is why it is our primary goal here at Just4KidzDentistry to create a warm, inviting and most important of all, fun environment where children can learn about the importance of good oral hygiene and diet while feeling at ease during their visit. Our office specializes in the dental needs of infants, children, adolescents and young adults. We pride our self on comprehensive early prevention because we believe excellent oral hygiene from infancy is vital in a childs overall general health and development. Dr. Celeste Wegrzyn, or Dr. Celeste as she is affectionately known by her patients, did her undergraduate training at Rutgers University/Douglas College where she received her degree in Biology. She then attended dental school at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine earning her DMD degree. She did three further years of training in Pediatric Dentistry at Ohio State University/ The Nationwide Childrens Hospital, in Columbus Ohio, where she was awarded her certificate in Pediatric Dentistry, as well as, her Masters of Science degree. It is here she received extensive training in all aspects of restorative dentistry, Nitrous Oxide analgesia, Hospital/ surgical care, interceptive orthodontics, behavior management, growth and development, and Pediatric Medicine.

Dr. Celeste then moved back to Connecticut where she has practiced Pediatric Dentistry in both Fairfield and New Britain. She became Board Certified in Pediatric Dentistry in 2007 and is currently on staff at The Hospital of Central Connecticut.

She has served on the Board of The Connecticut Society of Pediatric Dentistry and was the President in 2004. Dr. Celeste is also an active member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the Connecticut State Dental Association. She has also volunteered her time at local pre-schools and kindergarten classes to educate children on dental health. She's a member of the Dental Society of Greater Southington.

Outside of the office, she loves spending time with her husband, their two children and their dog, Chewy. They enjoy traveling, hiking, biking, swimming and you guessed it going to amusement parks together!

What ever you do, do it well. Do it so well that when people see you do it they will want to come back and see you do it again and they will want to bring others and show them how well you do what you do.

'Dr. Christine' grew up in Rochester, NY and completed her undergraduate education at Dartmouth College where she received a degree in Biomedical Engineering. She then moved to NYC for the next 6 years where she received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. While in dental school her passion for working with children was sparked by a service trip to the Philippines. She then remained to complete her special training in Pediatric Dentistry at Columbia University-New York Presbyterian.

Dr. Jaimie Vassiliou is a native of Bristol Connecticut, graduated from Bristol Central High School, and currently resides in Southington. Dr. Vassiliou has always considered Southington her home. For almost 30 years, Dr. Vassilious family owned and operated Family Pizza, a small mom and pop restaurant in Southington. She grew up working there alongside her family and really embraced the Southington community as her own.

Dr. Vassiliou received her Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of Connecticut where she graduated Cum Laude. She received her Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine where she received multiple awards and scholarships including the Piergrossi Scholarship Award for academic achievement. After dental school, she completed a 3-year Orthodontics residency program at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine where she received her certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. Dr. Vassiliou practiced in Bristol for the last three and a half years and is Board Eligible for the American Board of Orthodontics.

Dr. Vassiliou loves working with patients of all ages and has a true passion for orthodontics. She is strongly committed to achieving exceptional results for each and every patient and ultimately strives to create a fun and positive experience for everyone. Outside of the office, Dr. Vassiliou enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with her husband, family, and two young nephews.

As always our visit was awesome. The techs are knowledgeable, very patient with the kids, and just all-around awesome. Then Dr. Celeste came out and sat with both of my kids and answered all of my questions. I could not be happier with your office. The whole experience was great as always.

When my daughter says 'I like going to the dentist!', then I know that we have found an amazing office! Everyone in the office is friendly, professional and really care about the kids that they provide services too. When my daughter first starting to see Dr. Celeste, she was scared; she didn 't want to open her mouth. Now, she is happy to go -- this says A LOT about the staff at this office. I have recommended them to many - and I will continue. They are the BEST!

We have been going to Dr. Celeste for about 5 years now and we haven't had a bad experience yet. The office is always beautifully decorated for the season for the kids. The hygienists and front desk staff are always so welcoming and friendly. Dr. Celeste is so gentle with my daughter and so thorough. I highly recommend this office!

This was my sons fourth or fifth visit to the dentist and it was again a good experience for him. The hygienist was very friendly and explained everything to him on terms he can understand, hes 2.5 years, and showed him all the tools before working with him. She was both patient and efficient. The doctor is friendly and informative. I love using this office for my son. I have recommended it to multiple friends and family members for their children.

'My daughter was thrilled to recently have had braces put on but has been having difficulty cleaning around her brackets, especially in the back of her mouth. This was especially worrisome because her gums had become so puffy/irritated that in some spots they were close to actually going over the brackets. Hi, my name is Bonnie and I am the Office Manager. My dental experience started as a receptionist in 1989. Through the years, Ive worn many hats while raising our children with my husband. My focus has always been around children. When our own kids were young, I ran a home day care so that I could be home with my own children while caring for others for 8 years. Later, I was the Operations Manager for a transportation company, providing transportation for children with special needs to and from school. Overall, I have 16+ years in the dental field as well, which is where Ive always felt the most at home.

Joining Just 4 Kidz Dentistry with Dr. Celeste and her staff combines all of my experiences working with children in a management capacity and I couldnt have asked for a better group of women to work with.

Hello, my name is Barbara, and I am Dr. Vassilliou's Orthodontic Assistant. I graduated in 1988 from Tunxis Community College Dental Assisting Program and I have been in the orthodontic world ever since. I am also a member of the Connecticut and American Dental Assisting Association.

There is nothing more rewarding for me than seeing our patients through the wonderful transformation of having braces. I'm not sure who has the bigger smile, when the braces come off, our patients or myself.

Outside of work, I really love RV traveling with my husband Charlie, our son Kurt and daughter Gretchen. I also love to play a round of golf, go bowling, walking and scrapbooking all of our wonderful photos!

We are not responsible for how your insurance company handles its claims or for what benefits they pay on a claim. We can only assist you in estimating your portion of the cost of treatment. We at no time guarantee what your insurance will or will not do with each claim. We also can not be responsible for any errors in filing your insurance. Fact 1 - NO INSURANCE PAYS 100% OF ALL PROCEDURESDental insurance is meant to be an aid in receiving dental care. Many patients think that their insurance pays 90%-100% of all dental fees. This is not true! Most plans only pay between 50%-80% of the average total fee. Some pay more, some pay less. The percentage paid is usually determined by how much you or your employer has paid for coverage, or the type of contract your employer has set up with the insurance company.

Fact 2 - BENEFITS ARE NOT DETERMINED BY OUR OFFICEYou may have noticed that sometimes your dental insurer reimburses you or the dentist at a lower rate than the dentist 's actual fee. Frequently, insurance companies state that the reimbursement was reduced because your dentist 's fee has exceeded the usual, customary, or reasonable fee ('UCR') used by the company.

A statement such as this gives the impression that any fee greater than the amount paid by the insurance company is unreasonable, or well above what most dentists in the area charge for a certain service. This can be very misleading and simply is not accurate.

Insurance companies set their own schedules, and each company uses a different set of fees they consider allowable. These allowable fees may vary widely, because each company collects fee information from claims it processes. The insurance company then takes this data and arbitrarily chooses a level they call the 'allowable' UCR Fee. Frequently, this data can be three to five years old and these 'allowable' fees are set by the insurance company so they can make a net 20%-30% profit.

Unfortunately, insurance companies imply that your dentist is 'overcharging', rather than say that they are 'underpaying', or that their benefits are low. In general, the less expensive insurance policy will use a lower usual, customary, or reasonable (UCR) figure.
