Dr Jungmeyer is originally from Eldon, Missouri near Lake of the Ozarks. During high school she worked for the family business, Jungmeyer Heating and Air Conditioning. Dr Jungmeyer learned the value of treating people right and that return business is what keeps things going. From her father she learned sheet metal work, welding, woodworking as well as balancing a checkbook and managing the financial issues with running a business.
Dr Jungmeyer left Eldon to attend Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, Missouri. In 1992 she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Missouri- Kansas City School of Dentistry. Dr Jungmeyer was recognized for outstanding achievement on National Boards and was in the Honors Program during Dental School. Dr Jungmeyers personal favorite achievement was being an elected class officer for three years during dental school.
Before opening her practice in Lees Summit in 1996, Dr Jungmeyer worked in a group practice. She gained clinical experience from Dr Dale Ewing and Dr Merle Nunemaker. Dr Ewing had been a practicing dentist for 50 years. There is much to be learned from that kind of experience. Dr Nunemaker is still practicing in South Kansas City and is very active in the Missouri Dental Association and the American Dental Association. The variety of clinical philosophy and second to none ethics was the best possible experience as a new graduate.
Dr Jungmeyer is married and has three children. She has been a resident of Lees Summit since l996. Her hobbies include traveling, scuba diving, flying airplanes, snow skiing and keeping up with her kids. Her practice and family keep her very busy. She has found the best way to do business is to treat patients and employees like family. Her amazing staff keeps things running smoothly as possible.
Dr. Suresh considers Joplin, Mo as his hometown. He has been lucky enough to also call India, Ireland, England, and North Carolina his home over the years. He graduated a valedictorian from Joplin High School in 1996 and went on to graduate Magna Cum Laude from Truman State University where he did his undergraduate studies in Biology. Dr. Suresh attended UMKC School of Dentistry and graduated with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2005.
Dr. Suresh worked in public health for the first 2 years after graduating dental school, providing much needed dental care for the underserved in Kansas City. He then worked in Dental offices in Independence and Overland Park before eventually finding his way to the team at Jungmeyer Dental.
Dr. Suresh is a very detailed clinician. Patient comfort is Dr. Suresh's highest concern, he wants his patients to have as pleasant an experience as possible in the dental chair. He has been lucky enough to have experience with many of the latest procedures and technologies dentistry has to offer and is excited to bring that experience with him. Dr Suresh has had the pleasure of working with some of the staff previously and is so excited to become part of the Team.
In their spare time, Dr. Suresh and his wife try to keep up with their two and a half year old daughter. When he does get some free time, Dr. Suresh enjoys dabbling in many hobbies. He loves anything tech or automotive related and enjoys playing soccer and tennis. He can't wait to teach his daughter to play.
Dr. Nunemaker was born and raised in Topeka, Kansas. He was active in Boy Scouts, achieving the rank of Eagle Scout, was awarded the Pro Deo Et Patria medal, and reached the level of Vigil in the Order of the Arrow. While attending Topeka High School, he captained the golf team. Dr. Nunemaker also played one year in college at the University of Kansas, where he graduated with honors in 1973. Four years later, Dr. Nunemaker earned his dental degree from the UMKC School of Dentistry.
Dr. Nunemaker has been active in organized dentistry and is a past president of the Greater Kansas City Dental Society. He has served as a delegate to the American Dental Association, the national governance reference committee, and as a delegate to the Washington Legislative Conference. Dr. Nunemaker is currently the President-Elect of the Missouri Dental Association, and will take over as President in November of 2013. He has spent the previous four years as the Legislative Chairman for the association and worked on passage of legislation that will streamline the state Medicaid system, improve coverage of treatment for those in need, clarify the states dental practice act, and aid in the dental insurance process.
Dr. Nunemaker is a fellow in the American College of Dentists, an honorary organization whose main focus is ethics and professionalism. He is also a fellow in the Pierre Fauchard Academy which promotes integrity in practice and furthers research and dental literature. Dr. Nunemaker has been given the Environmental Excellence Award, and previously served as a consultant to the Kansas City based Bridging the Gap organization.
Dr. Nunemaker and his wife Vicki reside in Lees Summit with dogs Missy and Tobey, and play golf in couples tournaments all across Missouri. Their son Tyler will graduate with a mechanical engineering degree soon, and daughter Kayla has two years left to go to become a high school math teacher. Dr. Nunemaker has an older son, Matt, who is a nurse in ICU at Research Medical Center.
Dr. Nunemaker continues to stay current on all of the tremendous advances that have taken place in dentistry, having been the owner of one of the first practices in the area to go entirely digital and paperless. It was a natural blend of dentistry and the environment for him. He is pleased to be associated with Dr. Jungmeyer again and proud to be part of an office with such high regards for patient care and quality treatment.

Called me a few days before hand to remind me about my appointment date and time. I took off work and drove in the rain. Upon arrival I was told that my appointment was scheduled for a different date. I am never going back as this should never happen.

I was so terrified to go to the dentist since it has been way too long, but Shannon eased my fears so quickly. She was extremely positive and reassuring the entire time I was there. Even when she had to deliver the news that we have work to do, she did it so gracefully and encouraged me that "we've got this." I just wish I would have found this practice sooner, but I am glad I finally got the courage to go and I am so thankful for Shannon. I already made my next appointment with her as my hygienist and will do so for every appointment going forward. Don't look any further, make your appointment with Dr. Jungmeyer and be sure to request Shannon as your hygienist!

Great office. Cindy is a top notch hygienist and I always have a good experience with Sheila or Suresh when it comes to further work. I had a dental phobia and the folks at this practice helped me get over it and back into taking care of my teeth!

I was very impressed with Dr Jungmeyer. She did a temporary crown and a mold for a nightmare in less than an hour. She was very gentle, I had no pain. The whole staff is very friendly.

I've only recently been a patient here and have had to come back multiple times to get what I needed done. In the time I've spent here, I've only been blessed. The doctors and hygienists go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable, satisfied and their work is the best work they can do. I had the pleasure of seeing Miss Cindy for my cleaning. I've never felt more clean in my life! I was also able to work with both Dr. Jungmeyer and Dr. Suresh. If you asked me who I preferred, I'd tell you both! The doctors here were informative and very knowledgeable. They treated me like family. The front desk staff was always super nice. They introduced me to their in-house dental plan which was another blessing I'd have to say! Lastly, it's always a pleasure to speak with the assistants in the office. Always polite and subject matter experts to any dental case I've had. Cheyenne, Whitney and Shelby, 3 of their assistants, was extraordinarily kind. When I had questions, they explained everything in a way I could understand, along with giving a visual representation with X-rays. All together, best dental office I've been to in many many years. If I could give them another star, I would!
