Dr. Julie is more than just a warm smile. She inspires our team to remain on the cutting edge of dental care and technology, and we travel extensively to learn from the best leaders in the industry. Our team accrues more than 200 hours in training each year, and Dr. Julie has completed continuums at theL.D. Pankey Institute of Advanced Dental Education,Dawson Center for Advanced Training, andSpear Education.
The best reflection of ourselves can be seen in how we treat the people around us. Dr. Julie goes out of her way to ensure that patients who have fears or anxieties about dental care feel calm and comfortable during each treatment. Outside of our practice, she has organized and led the localGive Kids A Smile Program, a national ADA sponsored event donating dental services to under-served children.
A Cincinnati native, Dr. Julie and her husband, Chuck, have two daughters. Along with sharing her time and passion between her practice and family, she also enjoys traveling, playing piano, golfing and gardening.
I have a passion for helping others and developing relationships with our family of patients. I am happy to answer your questions, resolve any concerns and make every visit a positive one. With my background in banking, I can help you work through financing options and utilize your benefits to the fullest. I love being a part of Dr. Julie's dedicated and compassionate team. And after relocating from Findlay, I am also thrilled to fall in love with my new hometown, Loveland.
I see my dental career as 'more than just a job.' I take passion and pride in delivering compassionate and gentle care. You will benefit from my 16 years experience working in a periodontal specialty practice preventing and treating periodontal disease. I have seen firsthand how interconnected oral health is to the entire body. My greatest joy has been in helping thousands of patients overcome and improve their oral and thus overall health.
In my early career I have found so much joy working with and encouraging patients. My background in psychology helps patients with dental anxiety exceed their healthy goals. After moving from Iowa I am so fortunate to have found a team who not only shares my values in oral health but truly cares for the individual needs of each person.
My love for dentistry and specialized patient care compelled me to further my training as an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant. It allows me to design and create filling restorations. Youll find our office to be unique in the manner of our teams genuine respect and compassion for our patients as well as each other.
My job is your comfort. I love being the second set of eyes and hands for Dr. Julie and that enables me to focus on how to make treatment easier for you. Even after assisting dentists for over 20 years I continue to learn so much from Dr. Julie. It amazes me how interconnected everything is and how essential it is to start with a thorough exam and keep assessing. I can confidently say that everyone would benefit from a visit with Dr. Julie.
Our office is located at 410 West Loveland Avenue in the heart of historic Loveland.Our newly renovated space preserved the charm and original hardwood floors from its past as a historic hotel built in 1886. The office is brightened by the natural light that pours through the windows and into our private exam rooms. Although the building is historic, our practice is equipped with modern equipment to provide the latest in dental health care.
As a patient in our office, you deserve to clearly understand your treatment and care plan before we begin. We will answer all of your questions and concerns, and we are happy to discuss financial issues and options. You may also work with our team to schedule your treatment or dental procedures to occur in phases.
Filing and processing your insurance claims is a courtesy we extend to our patients. Since your insurance company cannot guarantee exact coverage for procedures, we can assist you in helping reduce the confusion and maximizing your benefits.

Dr. Swayne and her staff are terrific! Dr. Swayne is very thorough and skilled in her profession and goes above and beyond to diagnose and treat our dental conditions, and she doesn't give up until she finds an effective treatment. The entire team is friendly, professional, and helpful and every visit our family has had there has been a positive experience. We highly recommend Dr. Swayne and her team!

Dr. Julie and her staff (Kim, Jeanine, and Shea) have created a wonderful dentistry practice and environment. I LOVE GOING TO THE DENTIST NOW. I had lots of fears and anxiety going due to terrible past experiences. Needless to say, I had neglected my oral health and came to Dr. Julie under dire circumstances. She and her staff welcomed me, did not make me feel inferior, did not make me feel foolish, but instead gave me a clear path back to oral health. They are kind, gentle, professional, and want the BEST for each person's health. Unfortunately, they no longer take my insurance but I would rather pay out of pocket and stay with Dr. Julie than risk going to another dentist who doesn't care about my oral and overall well-being.

I am a new patient and have an initial visit set up in February. I broke a tooth in 1/2 before this initial visit and Dr Julie was able to see me quickly, evaluate my situation, give me my options and then gave me a great referral!! I am looking forward to having Dr Julie and the team take care of my dentistry needs, they are all about quality care of their patients.

I've been seeing Dr. Julie and her team for almost 7 years now...I love how much she cares! Not only does she do excellent work, her whole team is fun to be around. For those on the fence, you should know that I'm happy to pay more out-of-pocket to see Dr. Julie because she is out-of-network...it's worth every penny! Here's a few reasons why: 1) I get anxious about going to the dentist but she puts me at ease, 2) I have a complex mouth situation and I have found her to be artful and scientific in the way she works, 3) she's plugged into the community. You can't go wrong here!

The team at Dr. Swayne's office is fantastic. They take the time to give a thorough assessment of not only your dental health, but your overall health. They keep great track of potential trouble spots and are very proactive in treating those areas and making recommendations to help improve/maintain your teeth, gums, etc. Our entire family has been coming here for 17 years and highly recommend 'Dr. Julie' and her staff.

We cannot say enough about how much we appreciate Dr Julie and the entire practice. We were referred to her during a dental crisis with our son on a weekend. She not only was available to consult with us on the phone while in the ER but came in on a Sunday to meet with us and start coordinating his treatment immediately. Dr Julie goes above and beyond for her patients, is very skilled, knowledgeable, and professional. She collaborated and coordinated with other doctors through our two-year journey, of countless visits, surgeries and procedures. She and her staff were very flexible and accommodating, coming in early or on off days to take care of our son, as well as genuinely caring about him and striving for the best possible outcome. This is a rare find in todays world. We are very grateful and feel incredibly blessed to have her as our dentist.
