Dr. Jinju Song received her Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Washington. She earned her dental degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston. While in dental school, she discovered the joy of working with children. She then decided to further her professional studies in pediatric dentistry at Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. Her training provided her with extensive training in all phases of pediatric dentistry including but not limited to behavior management, trauma management, sedation dentistry, special needs dentistry and interceptive orthodontics. In addition to English, Dr. Song is fluent in Korean.
Dr. Song is very passionate about treating children of all ages and helping them to have better dental health. She strongly believes childhood is a time of life when she can have a very positive influence on their dental care and their outlook on the importance of dental health.
Dr. Kawakubo received her dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. She then journeyed to Hawaii to complete an Advanced Education Program in General Dentistry. Her strong interest in pediatric oral health care prompted her to obtain specialty training in pediatric dentistry through Lutheran Medical Centers Pediatric Dentistry Program in Hawaii. Dr. Kawakubo is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Kawakubo has a passion for working with children and families and helping them achieve better dental health while having fun in a caring environment. She is excited to be serving the community and hopes to make your child feel comfortable at each visit.

Dr. Song is very clear about treatment and a backup plan. Precise, fast and excellent putting four crowns for my kid. The place is very clean.

I highly recommend Dr. Song at Juanita Kids Dentistry, she and her crew are excellent. Everything is very organized, transparent and efficient in a very friendly environment. I have been taking both my kids there for the past 5 years and they are always very well taken care of.

I have been bringing my 8 year old to Juanita Kids Dentistry for his whole dentist-life. I absolutely love Dr. Song, and all of the staff! We had Katie today and she was fantastic - kind and funny and easy to work with. We moved to Renton two years ago and keep driving to Juanita for this dental group because it's just that great. Not enough good words to say - but I am forever grateful that we've found this as our dentistry home for my son. Thank you Juanita Kids Dentistry!!

I have been taking my 4 year old to Dr. Song for two years now and more recently was able to get my 1 month old in to have a frenectomy done. I was so glad to find someone local to Kirkland that not only worked with my insurance to have my daughters oral ties corrected but also someone that I already knew and trusted. Dr. Song is kind and gentle and very informative. She really made me feel like she listened to my concerns about my daughters latch while breastfeeding and the long term benefits of the procedure. I knew my baby was in good hands. I would highly recommend anyone needing oral ties revised for an infant go here. I also love them for my older daughter. All of her dental assistants/hygenists are great. The facility is always clean and staff is friendly and interact great with my oldest!

My son loves coming and I enjoy it as well. They give out a little prize at the end which makes a difference and they put on kids show with a screen on the ceiling.

Juanita Kids Dentistry was amazing! The staff were friendly. Dr.Song was very kind and gentle. She gave me some grate tips for making teeth brushing a little easier for my children. Looking forward to our next appointment. 10/10 highly recommended!!

Another awesome visit with Dr. Song and her team! I found out that my daughter had cavities and I was able to get an appointment right away. My daughter is deathly afraid of getting any dental treatment done but Dr. Song and her assistant Megan were able to put my daughter at ease. She loved watching TV while getting her treatment and said she felt relaxed like she was watching TV at home. Dr. Song is so caring and good with kids, especially the fearful ones! Highly recommend!!

There space is open, air filtered and lovely. Staff are kid and parent friendly and great to work with. My little ones love the kid friendly atmosphere, educational shows during cleanings and toys at the end. We even had to go here for an emergency appointment and they were so kind and got us right in.

Dr. Song and her team do great with kids, and they are especially good at helping my young children feel comfortable during our visit. They do a great job of explaining how my kids can take good care of their teeth, and they take extra time to explain about the dental tools they are using. The TVs on the ceiling are a big hit! As a parent, I was pleasantly surprised at the ease of parking and the friendliness of the front desk staff. This is an all-around great place!

I wish this was my dentist when I was a kid. My almost-3yr old just had his first "real" dentist appointment with a full cleaning, flossing, inspection, and fluoride application. His hygienist and dentist were both friendly and very gentle. He was having so much fun watching Bubble Guppies on the ceiling that he didn't care about anything else that was happening. He loved his new toothbrush and toys that they gave him. He even asked to go back to the dentist when we got home!

We recently had a dental 'emergency' and are from out of town. The dr met us at the office and saw our 2 year old. She was amazing and is one of the best pediatric professionals I have seen. I would take my daughter here if we lived in town. I am beyond appreciative of the care she took for our daughter
