As we plan to expand our practice in the future, we hope to continually invest in new and better resources that ensure the best experience for our patients.
Sarah is originally from Southern California. She moved here with her boyfriend (now fiance) after graduating high school. Sarah completed the Dental Assistant Program in 2016 and joined Dr. Mouas team in 2017. Sarah keeps the back office running smoothly and giving our patients the best care possible. Sarah is a twin and comes from a large family that includes a second set of twins. Sarah enjoys exploring nature, traveling, listening to good music, eating good food and going to the gym. She and her fianc have two adorable pug pups that keep them on their toes!
Eryn grew up in Redmond, moved to Utah where she stayed for 15 years and adopted two children. She moved back to Seattle in 2016 to take care of her mom who was diagnosed with Lou Gehrigs disease (ALS) and joined our practice in 2018. Eryn brought with her many years of dental experience and has been a great asset to our team. She loves the outdoors, walks on the beach and playing with her kids and their dog Mylo!
Tami has been in dentistry for over 34 years she has been with this practice since 1998 (she was here before Dr. Moua!) She says the best part of her job is the patients. She enjoys the everyday interactions and the ability to help others. Tami is married and has two grown children. Her favorite place is Maui and she hopes to move there one day!
Dr. Moua loves being a dentist because of how rewarding it is to help others but also because of the balance it allows for his personal life. That being said, he finds it extremely enjoyable to provide general dentistry, especially to people who are typically anxious when it comes to seeing the dentist. A self-proclaimed people pleaser, hes extremely patient with our patients who need extra time or sedation to comfortably complete their procedures.
Along with his dedication to our patients, Dr. Moua specifically selected each member of his team for not just their skills, but also their personalities. He believes that the workplace should be made up of people who genuinely enjoy one anothers company, and it influences the environment that we create for our patients.
Dr. Hyunsoo Lim was born in South Korea but came to the United States at an early age, living in Minnesota briefly before moving to the Greater Seattle region where he has spent the majority of his life. He attended Cornell University for his undergraduate studies obtaining a Bachelor in Biological Sciences. Upon graduating, he attended the New York University College of Dentistry.
During his time in New York, he volunteered providing dental services to the underserved communities in the Bronx and in Brooklyn. Beyond the United States, he has also traveled internationally to help the local communities in the Lima area with limited access to dental care in Peru.
He is currently a member of the American Dental Association, the Washington State Dental Association, and the King County Dental Society and takes a variety of continuing education courses to provide the best possible care for his patients.
In his free time, Dr. Lim enjoys spending time with his friends and family. He takes interest in biking around the Pacific Northwest, gardening (ask about his Beard Iris collection!), and playing tennis when the season allows.
Raised on the West Coast, Dr. Moua first formed an interest in dentistry after getting to know his brother-in-law, who was a dental technician. He then moved to the East Coast to study dentistry at Boston University, graduating in 2003. A year later he completed his general residency in Fresno and then came to Kirkland to open his private practice.
As a Kois-trained dentist, Dr. Moua takes a holistic approach to the cause-and-effect process that is oral health. His extensive professional development and patience for explaining things to our clients helps them to also be more educated about the best care for their overall wellness. Rather than treating individual teeth, Dr. Moua takes a step back to understand why things are the way they are and educates patients on how to better direct their level of health in the future.
Dr. Moua runs two busy dental practices in Washington. But outside of dentistry, he and his husband Brian enjoy traveling (particularly to Europe and Asia). He has also taken numerous Seattle Community College courses on winemaking and plans to make wine when he retires one day. When time allows, he also enjoys playing basketball, tennis and boxing. Both he and Brian are passionate about volunteering their time with Northwest Adoption Exchange.

Stop right now! Are you looking for a dentist that provides excellent customer care and services? Juanita Bay Dentist is the place to go. I have been going to Dr. Moua for almost 10 years. I currently live in Federal Way and work in downtown Seattle... regardless of the travel time I only trust him and his amazing team with my teeth. Their new location is beautiful and is doing advance things in the dental industry here in the Pacific Northwest. From the office staff, dental technicians and doctors... expect nothing but great services, high quality work and attention to detail when you visit them.

Juanita Bay Dentist is the best! Dr Downing Moua is very knowledgeable and explains the procedures very thoroughly, the new offices are awesome :) I'm super happy with my teeth health now, I like going to the dentist ^.^' and of course all the team that works there are the best (Tami, Colleen <3)!

Dr. Moua and his team and absolutely fantastic! I've never worked with a dentist who looks at things so holistically when it comes to teeth. He discovered an issue for me that was causing a lot of discomfort that I had no idea was connected to my teeth, and my quality of life has improved since working with him and his team! Not only is the care of teeth the best I've experience, but Dr. Moua and his staff are just so fun to talk with! You can tell everyone is very passionate about what they do and they make going to the dentist a joy :)

The new location is amazing its always pleasant to walk into crisp spanking new office where you still smell the fresh paint, not that there was anything wrong with the previous location but I am very happy the practice is growing. Now to the service Erin at the front desk is A+ she calls to confirm the appointment and is very detailed im explaining how to prepare for your visit. Last but not least Dr. Moa is is absolutely the best dentist I have been to he is passionate about his work and goes above and beyond to provide the best treatment plan for his patients. I was treated by his partner Dr. Vu and let me just tell you he is hands down the most skilled dentist I have been to. He is patient, explains step by step what he is doing and is also very intuitive in making sure his patient is having the best experience. He is a master at his craft. I recommend this practice to anyone looking for the best dental care. I was recommended by a current patient and she was absolutely right when she mentioned they where awesome!

I've been coming to this dental office for 6 years and it has honestly been the most pleasant dental experience I've ever had. The hygienists who clean my teeth are so friendly and personable. Dr. Moua is wonderful! He takes dental care to the next level and is very concerned with how it affects your overall health. He's kind, warm, and incredibly smart. I highly recommend going here, and the new office is beautiful.

Seeing Dr. Downing Moua and the entire staff for the past few years has been absolutely life changing. I had many problems with my teeth (lots of cavities) and this office has helped me turn my dental hygiene around. I'm so grateful I was able to find them, I used to be extremely nervous and shaky but they've been able to make me feel so comfortable. They've been the absolute best out of all dentist offices I've been. I never thought I'd get my teeth in the place they are now, even wearing Invisalign, and it wouldn't have been without their help. They've been kind, professional, patient and trustworthy since the start. Thank you so much!

I have had an amazing experience at Juanita Bay Dentist. I first found them when I had a cavity during lockdown, and was scared of getting COVID. A coworker recommended them as having great COVID protocols, and Dr. Lim was absolutely phenomenal when fixing my cavity, both in terms of COVID safety and care. Dr. Moua has been wonderful with dental care, recommending an amazing orthodontist and catching possible issues before they get too severe. On a more personal note, my husband also sees Dr. Moua, and last summer Colleen, one of the fantastic dental hygienists, and Dr. Moua found an abnormal lump on my husband's tongue that turned out to be tongue cancer. Thankfully they caught it early, and their recommended oral surgeon did a great job biopsy-ing the tumor. They were extremely well informed about possible issues stemming from the surgery, and I can't imagine us going to another dentist who might not be as insightful. In short, I completely trust the staff at Juanita Bay Dentist, and all the other experts (orthodontics, surgeon, etc) they might refer me to.
