Dr. De Fex graduated from Universidad Javeriana Dental School in Bogota Colombia 1985. Dr. De Fex completed his advanced standing certificate from NYU School of Dentistry in 1990. Dr. De Fex attended post graduate Dental Education in General Dentistry at Mount Sinai Hospital, Woodhull Hospital and Wyckoff Medical Center. The Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training was completed at Lincoln Medical Center and Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, NY graduating from the program in 2003.
Dr. De Fex is an active Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and maintains staff positions at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, Nassau University Medical Center and Wyckoff Heights Medical Center
