Xheni Basko (pronounced Jenny), DMD is a board-certified dentist, who specializes in medical and cosmetic dentistry. She believes in a partnership between patients and dentists. She strives to ensure that each patients voice is heard and each patients expectations are exceeded. Her practice philosophy is based on quality care, compassion and educating her patients about oral health. Dr. Basko is committed to providing outstanding, innovative dental care for her patients.
Dr. Basko received her Bachelors of Arts in Biology from Northwestern University and Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Illinois at Chicago. From a young age, she has had a strong passion for science. She has completed several research projects over the years, managing to publish her first scientific paper at the age of seventeen. Throughout her professional career, Dr. Basko has been honored with numerous awards.
When asked why she chose the field of dentistry, Dr. Baskos response is Dentistry is the one field that allows me to incorporate my passion of art and science to help improve the health, appearance, and confidence of others.

LOVE This dental office! Everything was 5 star from the greeting at the door by Deede, my cleaning by Maggie and my exam with Dr Basko! The office is new, high tech and immaculate! What I love most of all is how down to earth the staff is and how comfortable they make you feel. All questions answered with knowledge and compassion!

I've been going to Dr Winterich for 5 years and when I first met him I was undecided about dentures or implants and thought about going to clear choice because of the ads of 1 day service. I was very impressed how he explained the process and I realized the flaws at clear choice. He didn't bad mouth them just let me know patients might have problems with that procedure. After research I found out a lot of patients did have problems. Needless to say I have been thoroughly satisfied with my implants and he has a great friendly staff. Choosing Dr Winterich was the best decision that I have made.

Well, I've been to several dentists in my life and I can say that I felt real comfortable with the friendly staff at JT. Dede at the front desk was very informative and helpful about what my insurance covered. Magdelena was very patient and detailed with my teeth cleaning. Dr. Basko, professional whom she explained everything want was needed to be done and performed a terrific job for my teeth. Easy place to find with plenty of parking. Would I go back there again? HECK NO!!! Just kidding

The location is very easy to find. Staff is very nice and welcoming. Deede was very nice and helpful. Maggie was very detailed with the cleaning and took her time to make sure everything was done right. Dr. Basco was very nice and professional with explanation ofeverything in detail. Overall a great experience.

I found my new dentist . Talk about service! This is without a Doubt the best dental service I have ever received. Everyone is so friendly, they explain everything so well. Dr. Xheni Basko was very informative about an overbite issue I have and explained how they can correct it. I've been going to dentist my whole life and never been told I had this problem. Thank you again Dr. Xheni Basko and her staff they were able to see this problem And address it so won't be a bigger problem down the line. I recommend JT Family dental to friends and family, five stars plus!!

Great new dental office, state of the art technology and you can watch TV during your cleaning too which was awesome! Dentist (Jeff) is great - friendly, trustworthy and very thorough and friendly staff overall. Best dental experience you can have and highly recommend! Know not in the city but worth the drive and/or great if you work by there

I've never been to a dentist that I was comfortable with until JT Family Dental. They haven't tried to upsell me on a single thing that I haven't explicitly asked for. They are thorough and the place is spotless and organized. Highly recommend this office!

IF YOU DON'T KNOW HOW YOU WILL FIND A NEW DENTIST OR ARE JUST PLAIN SCARED OF GOING...READ THIS REVIEW. Now, get comfy, it is a bit wordy but hopefully it will help to make the decision easy for you because it covers all the necessary info you may require! A little history, we grew up poor, so my mom couldn't take us to the dentist as much as she wanted. When she brought us, the dentist & staff would lecture us about not coming as often as we should (which we had no control of) & how bad our teeth were. Now, don't get me wrong, we brushed our teeth, but didn't know to do much more than that. Many people & situations make poor people feel worthless. We would be scared to go and then the dentist would insult us & our parents (while our mom was in the waiting room) This would be happening while the Dentist had tools in our mouth & we just had to sit there & take it. It really made you truly feel as poor & as worthless as your parents non existent bank account. I remember having tears well up in my eyes or stream down my face & they were oblivious as to what they were doing to my soul as a child. Well, it didn't kill me but it taught me Dentists were mean & I would never go. My sister introduced me to her Dentist that she found when we were in our 20's. She understood ALL OF THE ABOVE & was such a wonderful dentist / person. Well, 20 years later, she had to retired & I was devastated! Since then, I tried to see a couple dentists & found myself in the same childhood situation with the same childhood fears resurfacing. I couldn't go through that hateful judgement again. So years later...yes, YEARS...10 to be exact...went by & after much research I found a new dentist! My hubby (his dentist retired over a year ago) & I just completed our first visits & love JT FAMILY DENTAL. Well, let me tell you what I experienced...Before going there I spoke to Kate, who was as patient as a saint. She spent so much time on the phone with me and reassured me that I was making the best decision by coming in and walked me through so much on the phone. When I arrived, It was very clean & they followed COVID protocols. I was greeted by their Office Manager Deede, who is very sweet, knowledgable & helpful. They are very lucky to have her! Maggie performed my full set of X-rays that can be awkward & painful to sit through. She was quick & knew how to get them in the least painful way as possible. She also performed my cleaning after 10 years of me not having one. (ONCE AGAIN...I HAVE brushed my teeth and flossed since going M.I.A. from the dental world) ;o) She was gentle with absolutely no judgement, no attitude & thank you Maggie...NO LECTURES! Due to my teeth being sensitive, she put numbing cream on them before the cleaning & I barely felt it. My cleanings have always been painful in the past. She was kind & made me forget I was even having a cleaning by talking about pleasant things without any awkward topics. For some, that is an impossible task. Because of Maggie, I will NEVER miss another cleaning again. Dr. Xheni (pronounced Jenny) Basko is young (so, you won't have to worry about losing her to retirement in a few years and starting the search all over again) After my X-rays, she, along with Kate's assistance examined my teeth while looking at the X-ray results. She showed images of my full mouth on a large TV on the wall in front of the exam chair. The teeth that had work done on them showed the work in blue & the teeth that need work had the parts that need work shown in red. She helped me prioritize what work needs to be done right away & what can wait until my insurance year starts over again. She didn't push anything, in fact she tried to save me money with the prioritizing & seeing what we could save & what insurance would cover. She tried to help my life...not hers. I really felt like she cared about my overall health & what plan would support that without pressure or judgement. She believes on looking forward, not backward. She is kind, patient and I am so very grateful we found her!

I found this dental office to have great and helpful staff for setting up my appointment. I was very happy with how my x-rays of teeth were conducted. The office is clean, and modern. I appreciate the staff following CDC Covid-19 cleaning and safety protocols. I was very happy with Dr Basko conducting a consultation and explaining what is a priority with my dental care. Overall, my wife and I are very happy we found JT Family Dental.
