Dr. Joyner grew up in Charleston and attended Wando High School. He then went to Clemson University for undergrad and Medical University of South Carolina for dental school. He received a Navy scholarship for dental school, and has been on active duty in the military for 5 years.
When he is not in the office, Dr. Joyner enjoys spending time with his family (he has a wife - Ruthie, 2 sons - Fitz and Patrick, and a daughter - Byers), serving the local community, fishing, hunting, surfing and spending time outdoors.

We love Dr. Joyner! Everyone in his office is so nice. He takes great care of his patients and doesn't push for anything extra. We trust him and appreciate how he makes going to the dentist easy!

Highly recommended!! Dr Joyner is an excellent dentist with great communication skills. He even looked at text pictures of my daughter's chipped tooth and provided advice. Great prices, great team, great location!!

Dr. Sam is terrific. He is very personable/sincere and meticulous /thorough and shows that he cares about his patients. And he promises to never do anything that is not necessary. I recommend him to everyone I can.

After trying 3 other dentists in the area I found Dr Joyner. Friendly welcoming staff. Super clean facility with up to date state of art equipment. Dr Joyner is wonderful thoroughly explains treatment plan doesn't push unnecessary procedures. Responds quickly to emergencies.

Dr. Joyner and his staff are wonderful! My appointments are always quick and stress free, which is huge as I'm not somebody that typically enjoys the dentist. The staff is welcoming, knowledgeable, kind and patient. Their office is clean and very well decorated, I felt comfortable from the time I walked in until I checked out. Highly recommend!!

I developed a tooth problem while visiting my son and daughter who live down here. He was so quick to fix the issue and so kind. I would recommend him to anyone. When I visit again which may be twice a year; I will consider him as my dentist. I have problems in PA finding a dentist who would take me on short notice. Thank you for such wonderful concern and thorough information on cost and treatment.

So thorough and detailed with my cleaning today! I love getting my teeth cleaned and I feel like I'm being taken care of and in good hands at Joyner.
