Dr. Millsaps graduated from Hickory High School in 1998 and from the School of Dentistry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2005. He has been practicing here in Hickory, NC since 2008. He is the past president of the Western Piedmont Dental Society and is actively involved in continuing education and service related events. Dr. Millsaps is a member of the NC Dental Society and Seattle Study Club. Dr. Millsaps has his Mastership from the International Dental Implant Association.
Dr. Modlin graduated from the School of Dentistry at UNC Chapel Hill in 1982. He owned his own practice in Viewmont area of Hickory from 1982-2008. He joined our practice in 2016. We are thrilled and honored to have Dr. Modlin as part of our team!
Aleisha graduated from Dental Hygiene School at CVCC in 2007. She worked for Dr. Stevenson for 8 years until his retirement in 2015. She joined our practice in 2016. Aleisha is married and has 2 beautiful daughters. She is an amazing hygienist and we are proud to have her on our team!
Carmela graduated from the dental hygiene program at CVCC in 2004. She worked as a dental hygienist at Nags Head, NC until moving back to the area where she has worked with Dr. Millsaps since 2008. Carmela is a member of the American Hygiene Association and NC Academy of Advanced Studies. We are proud to have Carmela as one of our incredible hygienist!
Eve attended the Dental Assistant Program at Western Piedmont Community College in 1979. She has since been a certified dental assistant and has worked in our office since 1990. Eve is a member of the American Dental Assistant Association. Eve is married and has 1 awesome daughter. We are proud to have Eve as a member of our team!
Gina worked as a dental assistant in the military before pursuing a career in dental hygiene. Gina graduated from Dental Hygiene School at CVCC in 2001. She worked for Dr. Steve Frye until his retirement and joined our team when Dr. Fryes patients joined our office in 2014. Gina has an infectious laugh and always lights up the office. We are so grateful to have her on our team!
Kayla joined our practice in October 2017. Kayla graduated from Lake Norman Dental Assisting School. She has been a dental assistant since 2015. Kayla also helps with our hygiene department, sterilization and front office. Kayla is our jack of all trades. You will see her running around the office, in all of our departments. We are so happy she is on our team!
Tina graduated from Pima Medical Institute in Tucson, Arizona in 1985. Tina worked in orthodontics for 15 years and as a dental assistant since 1985. Tina attended the Great Lakes Onsite Lab Training Program. Tina has us all laughing around the office. She always has a great attitude and we are lucky to have her on our team!
Tori is one of our fabulous hygienists. She actually interned with our office during High School. She graduated from CVCC Hygiene program in 2017. She joined our practice in 2018. We are so happy to officially have her on our team, although she has been part of our family for a long time!
Veronica joined our practice in 2017. Veronica manages sterile processing, decontamination, sterilization, and high-level disinfection of all of our instruments and operatories. Is accountable for ensuring efficient, safe, effective sterilization for our practice. Veronica is also happy to help interpret for our Spanish speaking patients. Veronica is married with one great son. We are so thankful to have her on our team!

I went to a dentist in Valdese and had a sketchy experience, but a coworker recommended I get a second opinion with Dr. Millsaps. I was hesitant but it ended up saving me from having to get a root canal, and Dr. Millsaps worked with me to develope an affordable treatment plan for all the work I need. He and his staff are very polite and professional, they have all the newest tech, and they are easy to work with. I'm very thankful that I ended up switching to them, and I would recommend anyone else take the chance too.

I paid a ridiculous amount to get my veneers replaced on my front teeth because they were old and had last their shine(one of them had a root canal many years prior). Shortly after they were put in, the left developed graying at the top. I was told it was from the old root canal. When the right started having the same issue I made an appointment to have them look at it and before they even looked they kept trying to say it was from the root canal (but the right tooth never had one and the left had never been gray before the new veneers even years after the root canal). To be clear, my new veeners have NO metal even they tried to use that as an excuse as well. Dr. Milsaps got so upset the I even questioned it that he threw his instrument and refused to even look. Considering that my new dentist said that most graying was from decay at the top I expect Dr. Milsaps just didn't want to be responsible for his own mistake but I'll be going to a different dentist to get it fixed!

I couldn't be more grateful for Joshua Millsaps and those who are part of his practice. Excellent care is the top priority, of course, and in the process of providing that care they are all welcoming, thoughtful, an absolute pleasure and very conscious of comfort. If you're looking for the best, I truly believe you'll find it at Joshua Millsaps' office.

I went in today to Dr Joshua Millsaps office and wanting to thank the staff for being so friendly. McKenzie did my cleaning appointment and I was so impressed with her patience and professionalism. I have had cleanings in the past from other Dental offices and must confess McKenzie did the best and most thorough job of any cleanings I have had done. . The staff is very professional and they made my dental cleaning today very pleasant whereas in the past I would dread going. Great job McKenzie. Shout out to Dr.Milsaps and staff. Very professional.

Outstanding experience! Tori is amazing and treated me with gentle kindness. For someone with sensitive teeth, she didn't hurt me one bit! Dr. Millsaps took the time and explained everything to me very clearly. I feel like I'm in the best of hands for my dental care!
