Whitney has worked with the practice since it first opened in 2012. As a dental hygienist, she examines patients teeth and gums, cleans them, and provides educational help on how to improve and maintain good oral health. She loves that the entire team at the practice has a great relationship with one another, which makes for a very happy workplace. Everyone strives to provide patients with the best quality of care possible!
Originally from Southaven, MS, Whitney now lives in Arlington, TN with her husband Zach and their eight year old son Ashton. When shes not busy at work, she enjoys being with her family, exercising, and taking Charlie, their dog, to the park.
Tashia first started working as a dental assistant for Dr. Joshua Holcomb after graduating from Delta Technical College. She thinks that Dr. Holcomb and the rest of his staff are amazing, and shes very grateful to work in an office that has such high integrity and is always striving to meet the patients best interests.
She is married to her high school sweetheart of 40+ years. She loves spending time with her 8 grandchildren and attending their church, school and sport activities. She enjoys raising quarter horses, dogs and chickens. But any opportunity to be at Busch Stadium with a refreshing beverage to watch the Cardinals play would also be fun!
I have been practicing general dentistry for six years. I am dedicated to practicing many aspects of dentistry including fixed and removable prosthodontics, oral surgery, implantology, conscious sedation, reconstructions, endodontics, TMJ therapy, geriatrics, and pediatrics.
I am committed to quality and excellence of clinical skill while complementing my practice with specializing in treating all patients as individuals, especially those who are uneasy when it comes to dental care. I take great pride in providing each patient with gentle, specialized care and support.
I received my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the College of Dentistry, UT Memphis in 2009. Prior to that, I attended the Franciscan University of Steubenville, where I studied in the Pre-Theolagate Program. I also attended University of Memphis, where I received a B.S. in Biology with a Minor in Philosophy. I continue to study advanced dentistry as a faculty club member in Scottsdale Arizona under the Spear's Master Curriculum. I have been a faculty club member of the Spear Faculty Club since 2009. I also travel to many destinations all over the United Sates to ascertain that I study under the top leaders in each field. While the average dentist in America completes 14 hours of continuing education per year, I have consistently completed well over 100 CE hours per year. This is how I ensure that my patients are receiving only the best in oral healthcare at my practice.

Dr. Holcomb is a fantastic dentist. He is a perfectionist, and won't stop until he has everything just right. As a patient, I find this highly reassuring. More importantly, he has a lot of heart and provides superb care. This emanates throughout his staff. It is a pleasure to visit this office.

A few years ago I spent thousands on a new bridge with Dr. Holcomb. All was fine until the bridge broke off and fell out last Thursday. I immediately called Dr. Holcomb's office and I was told by Lynn we were 3 weeks out for an appointment so they wouldn't see me in what I saw as an emergency situation. So now I'm shopping around town for someone to fix my missing bridge . These people have no integrity and do not stand behind their work . They should have at least took me in right away and had a look at my situation . Now I'm shopping the world for a solution.

I have been going to Dr. Holcomb's office for dental work for several years and I have always been impressed with Dr. Holcomb and his team. They have always been knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and accommodating. I highly recommend this dental office.

Used to be a good place but went downhill. The staff is *incredibly* rude. Tooth cleaning was abysmal - basically polishing your teeth with a toothbrush and that was it. Not thorough at all. Taking my business elsewhere and would not recommend this office to friends or family.

Highly recommend Dr. Holcomb & his marvelous staff. Incredible customer service, Dr. Holcomb and his outstanding staff go above & beyond to serve their patients' dental needs with impeccable professionalism & kindness. Especially the dental hygienist, Mrs. Whitney Apel, who does an amazing job making you feel comfortable & her lovely manner & superb people skills makes you feel instantly at ease. Very grateful to have found the practice of Dr. Holcomb, as he's the best at what he does!

Dr.Holcomb destroyed my teeth. After promises of a perfect smile, he took on my Invisalign. After his "treatment", my bite is off, and my bottom teeth got chipped because they hit and grind the top teeth. Do not recommend this practice for orthodontics.

This was my first time to use Dr Holcomb and he is so fabulous. I needed a tooth removal and he walked me through the procedure and made me feel very comfortable. My husband had one pulled with a specialist and it did not go half as well as mine. Dr Holcomb is our dentist from now on! He does. We want a dentist office that will do fillings, cleanings, xrays, Everyting! We have now found one! A Good One!
