Dr. Melissa Scaggs received her undergraduate degree in Zoology from Texas Tech University in 1996. She continued her education with The University of Texas at San Antonio where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2000 and graduated Cum Laude. But she didnt stop there! Dr. Scaggs pursued her Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Baylor College of Dentistry and graduated in 2001.
Dr. Penchan was born in Dearborn, MI, and grew up in Coppell, TX. She moved to Texas when her dad had a change in job, and stayed south as she started college. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Business Management and a minor in Chemistry in 2006, then received her doctorate degree in 2012 from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas. Dr. Penchan is a member of the Dallas County Dental Society, American Dental Association, and Texas Dental Association.
As one of the leading dentists at Josey Lane Dentistry, Dr. Penchan specializes in relieving patients pain by performing expert root canals and tooth extractions. Her work is exceptionally detailed, and she enjoys the opportunity to focus on her specialties. Outside of the office, Dr. Penchan loves hand stitching and rocking her baby to sleep. Dr. Penchan can be found moseying around White Rock Lake in what free time she can find.
