Financial ConsiderationsWe will be more than happy to submit all insurance forms for you and help you recover the most from your benefits. We will do everything we can to help you afford the treatment you need and want. For patients who require major treatment, a complete payment plan is designed with an appropriate payment schedule. Forms of payment accepted by the office are check, cash, or any major credit card.
Dr. Greg was born and raised in West Caldwell, NJ. He attended James Caldwell High School and graduated Magna Cum Laude with an Honors Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from St. Anselm College in 2009. He then went on to earn his DMD degree from Tufts Dental School in Boston, MA. While at Tufts, Dr. Greg completed the Postgraduate Prosthodontics Elective program, which is offered to select students who have excelled in providing excellent clinical care to their patients. In addition to this, he was inducted to the inaugural class of the Honos Civicus Society at Tufts for his commitment to civic engagement and community service in the dental field.
Dr. Greg completed an additional year of training at the General Practice Residency Program at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. While at Johns Hopkins, he treated complex dental cases and performed advanced oral surgical, restorative, and root canal procedures. He has also lectured at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine on oral anatomy, pathology, and common restorative techniques. He is the providing dentist at the Crane's Mill Retirement Community and an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry as well. Dr. Greg has completed hundreds of hours of continuing education in order to better serve his patients' needs and was recently selected as a Top Dentist by New Jersey Magazine!
Dr. Josephsen was born and raised right here in West Caldwell, N.J. He attended Montclair Kimberly Academy Preparatory School and later graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Anselm College in Manchester, New Hampshire. He went on to earn his DMD degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University here in NJ in 1982.
Following graduation from dental school, Dr. Josephsen completed a one year residency at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center and was later selected to serve a second year as Chief of Dental Residents. For many years after this he remained an Attending Staff Physician at St. Joseph's and the North Jersey Developmental Center, and served on the Faculty of Hospital Dentistry of the Dental School at Fairleigh Dickinson. While practicing in these capacities, Dr. Josephsen was transitioning to be the sole practitioner in the office, which has been established for over 45 years.
More recently, Dr. Josephsen earned the Fellowship Award from the Academy of General Dentistry as well as the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. He was also selected by the Consumers Research Council of America as one of America's Top Dentists.
Cindy is our fantastic office manager. She is an expert on dental insurance, will help you understand your benefits as easily as possible, and can also help set up easy financing options if necessary. Cindy is a lifelong resident of the Caldwells and enjoys volunteering in our community with her husband, Steve.
Kristen is one of our wonderful dental assistants. Kristen is great at ensuring your treatment gets completed safely and efficiently, while keeping you relaxed and at ease. When not in the office, Kristen enjoys watching soccer with her husband and two children, Mia and Charlie!
Sandy is one of our fantastic dental assistants. Our patients love that Sandy goes above and beyond to help them enjoy their visits and complete their treatment comfortably. When she is not in the office Sandy enjoys going to concerts with her husband, John!
Jossary is a Registered Dental Hygienist and graduated from Bergen Community College. She is originally from the Dominican Republic where she had been in the dental field for over 15 years. When she is not working, Jossary enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons, Derek and Dylan.

This is a great practice with an intimate, personal feel. The staff is courteous and efficient. Dr. Gregory Josephson is thorough, and takes time to ensure that you as the patient are comfortable and that you understand each step of the process.

Myself and my family have been patients of Dr. Josephsen's practice for many years. He has gotten me through many difficult dental procedures! Due to insurance reasons, for a period of time, I was not under Dr. Josephsen's care. Today, due to a dental emergency, I reached out to the practice where I always felt comfortable. I was welcomed back personally as well as professionally. The care I received was outstanding. Happy to be under the care of Josephsen's Family Practice again!

Dr. Greg and his entire team are absolutely wonderful!! Dr. Greg is so patient and so kind! He walks you through everything and makes sure you are comfortable during the entire appointment. The office is also very clean. I can't recommend Dr. Greg enough!

I love everyone at Josephsen Dentistry! I've been coming here for years, and from simple cleanings, extractions, and everything in between, it's all performed with the patient's comfort in mind. Everyone in the office is so friendly and helpful, that I actually don't dread going to the dentist. If you need a new dentist, I highly recommend Josephsen Dentistry.

I have been going to Dr. Josephsen for many years. Both father and son are wonderful. They make you feel at ease and will gladly answer any questions you may have. If you are looking for a new dentist who is caring, understanding, and compassionate, then make an appointment with either Dr. Al or Dr. Greg. You won't have to search for another dentist again.

I If you want it painless dental experience, this is where you need to go. Dr Josephsen made a crown for my left back molar and I didn't feel a thing. From beginning to end. The numbing needle to final finish was "a piece of cake". They are wonderful people to deal with, so considerate and kind. All in all, I was soooo satisfied. Thanks to all.Ann Sciarrillo.

I have recommended Josephsen Family Dentistry to both family and friends. I have been a patient of both Dr. Greg and Dr. Alfred Josephsen and they are both wonderful dentists who are kind, understanding and outstanding professionals. The staff is warm, knowledgeable and what I would consider highly professional. The office is impeccably clean, plus it offers the most updated dental services. Recently I was amazed to actually get my tooth capped in just one visit, start to finish, using the most updated equipment and techniques. The experience was very comfortable, and I was fascinated to watch how a cap is made in this new era of dentistry.

The professionalism and friendliness of the whole team is outstanding. From the first day I visited this office I've felt as though I've been cared for and treated like family. The staff is always professional and personable. They use the latest equipment and techniques. Jossie is an amazing hygienist that does a professional thorough cleaning. Of course, Dr. Josephsen is outstanding in his abilities and his knowledge. I highly recommend them.

After many bad experiences with other dentists, I've always been reluctant to go. I started coming to see Dr. J and things have definitely changed. I don't mind my normal cleanings now that Josie does them and I don't cringe when it comes to needing a filling or a crown. From the hand holding during any procedure to being able to get a crown the same day, they are perfect for anyone who has dental anxiety. 10/10 would recommend!
