Immediately upon graduation, he was accepted to attend Loyola University School of Dentistry and earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree with honors. Additionally, He was awarded the Award of Merit from the American College of Dentists during his final year of training for outstanding clinical care.
Dr Baldassano, following dental school graduation, was accepted to participate in a, one year, General Practice Dental Hospital Residency at Hines Veterans Hospital in Hines, Illinois. This training allowed Dr. Baldassano to treat medically complex dental patients in a hospital setting. He maintained a staff position until entering his Endodontic Residency Program.
Dr. Baldassano continued his professional educational training, as one of only four residents accepted nationwide to a two year Endodontic Specialty Residency Program, at Indiana University School of Dentistry.
He earned a Specialty Certificate in Endodontics. Additionally, Dr. Baldassano conducted research at Indiana University in pursuit of a Master of Science Degree. He earned his MSD upon completion of his research project while in his Endodontic Specialty Residency.
Dr. Baldassano has maintained a private Endodontic practice in Inverness, Illinois since completing his specialty residency. He is skilled in all aspects of specialty Endodontic care including Root Canal Therapy, Re-treatment Root Canal Therapy and Surgical Endodontic Therapy. Additionally, fractured and knocked out teeth following minor oral trauma are also treated.

Great experience from start to finish. Had emergency root canal surgery performed by dr Baldassano! Staff was very nice answering the phone. Scheduling the appointment was quick and easy. Highly recommend for any dental and root canal services.

Terrific Endodontist. Don't let a general dentist do your root canal. It is highly specialized procedure and requires special equipment. Dr Baldassano is very experienced and highly skilled at this.

dr joe is the best endo is the nw suburbs. his skill level on root canals is outstanding and he and his staff cares about each patient , thoroughly explaining what they are doing, answers your questions in lay mans terms and works carefully to make the procedure pain free.he is the choice of many dentists for any work they need.what higher complement is that?

Dr listened to all the complaints that I am having issues with since years now and gave me the next step though yet to figure out the root of the issue. But the next step he suggested has given me hope that may not be too far from finding a solution. He is very modest and conservative with his approach and very thorough. I now understand why it is important to go to a Board Certified Endodontics as suggested by my cousin.

14 years ago I had my braces removed. Dr. Baldassano treated my tooth and saved it from having to be pulled when every other doctor told me to remove it. To this day, I still have the tooth and have not needed any reatreatment. During the process he was knowledgeable and kind. He takes the time to explain every piece of the procedure. I would recommend anyone who needs work done to visit Dr. B. Thank you Dr. B!
