You are probably wondering, who is this guy & how did he get here, fair question. It always starts with your parents. My dad was a believer in hard work. When I say hard work I mean hard work, both physical and mental. While he didnt believe in sports, he didnt mind digging out a monstrous trench in the back yard to create to create a subterranean patio. It had to have purpose. So, when I got into Emory University it was understood that I would work my way through college, with the least amount of assistance. This ultimately set my path.
I had many different jobs while at Emory. It was my school, and my employer. I worked in the library, I was a kitchen manager, a research assistant, a psychiatric counselor (my highest paying job). The job that set my career path though, was as an anesthesia tech at Emory Hospital. It allowed me the ability to watch the doctors and all the different operations.
I saw these doctors doing facial reconstruction, and I thought that was super cool, and it was very much like model building, which I loved in my childhood. The path was set. I went to the doctors and inquired on how I could wind up doing that important work. They told me, in order to become a maxillofacial surgeon, I would have to go to Dental school first as a prerequisite, as you can not rebuild a face without the understanding of functionality of the moving parts. This was it, I applied and got into Emory Dental School. After 4 years I applied to a combined program from New York medical college & Westchester medical center in Valhalla N.Y. I got in and finished my degree in 1988. As chief resident at Westchester, I graduated at 32 years of age. I came to Stamford and applied for privileges at Stamford Hospital.
For 25 years I did facial reconstruction at Stamford Hospital and as an aside particularly with trauma patients, I would do some Juvederm and Botox to help normalize the appearance, after reconstruction surgery.
This is where, I diverge. Retirement, I just dont believe in it. While it is fine to be that guy in a baseball cap, playing tennis & golf every day or every other day. Its just not me, I am product of my previous existence. I am a worker bee, if you take me away from my work, it wont be good.

i was crying and so nervous going into my tooth removal but Dr Sciarrino was cracking jokes and making me feel better even though i was going through it. He did an amazing job with my surgery i woke up and felt like nothing happened i was asking questions if it was done. He did an amazing job and so did his nurses and staff. I would definitely come here again because i felt so safe and secured.

My experiences at this specific dental office has always been absolutely incredible. The staff is warm, friendly and extremely professional. Dr. Sciarrino is personable and has always made me feel comfortable and valued as a patient. I've had several surgeries done with him and they have all been successful with no complications what so ever. Overall, the care that I've experienced is great hands down.

I had several teeth extracted, including wisdom teeth, a broken tooth, and an ingrown tooth. After the extractions, I received two implants. I was very nervous going into the entire procedure as I have been a very nervous dental patient in my life - often avoiding dentist visits for years on end. My experience with Dr. Sciarrino was fantastic. The extractions were completely painless, and I had no post-procedure pain or discomfort whatsoever. I stopped taking pain medication within 24 hours because there was no pain - and I was back to work and exercise just 1 or 2 days later. Same experience with the implants. I am so relieved that I was referred to Dr. Sciarrino. He and his entire team are incredible - I recommend him to anybody needing dental work done especially if you're nervous (or downright scared like me) about the procedure.

My son had his 4 wisdom teeth removed. No pain. Quick recovery. Incredibly kind and professional doctor. Easy to make an appointment and office very clean. Gabi, the office manager is extremely nice and helpful. Highly recommend!

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Scirriano and his team. I went to have three wisdom teeth removed, and they were so professional. I didn't have any pain and had quick recovery. I just can thanks God for being them because they were so professional and willing to help people. Nowadays it is not easy to find a good dentist, but I'm so glad I did. Highly recommended!

I have had an extraction and this week 3 implants at once. I was dreading the procedure and recovery, but it was a much easier experience than I had thought. Even better is the recovery has been almost 100% pain and discomfort free. Dr. Sciarrino completely put me at ease. His office staff is super to deal with and totally professional. I would highly recommend him to anyone undergoing oral surgery.

Doctor Sciarrino is one of the best in town .I had a very good experience in his practice. . I had to pull out my top wisdom tooth i was scared. First his office secretary took care of all my insurance an told me how much it was going to cost me . Then there was a lady sitting beside me i took a coversation with her i told her i was scared, she said "Oh no, I know this doctor for more than 10 years he's very good!" Than I felt a little better. Then when I went inside sat in the chair, a second later I dont know nothing. Later on his nurse was shake me telling it's time to go home . Tooth out,no pain, and i was back to work next day. Ate and drink no problem . Two thumbs up for Dr. Sciarrino! Thank you, Doc!
