Dr. Zona is a Msgr. Farrell High School graduate. He attended the State University of New York at Binghamton, where he received an undergraduate degree in Biology. Dr. Zona received his D.D.S. degree from NYU College of Dentistry. Graduating with honors, Dr. Zona earned a position at the prestigious Manhattan V.A. Hospital. He completed a one year general practice residency at the V.A. and then continued on to complete the hospitals two year Periodontal program.
Dr. Zona maintains a staff position at Staten Island University Hospital. He is an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the American Dental Association, the Academy of Osseointegration, the North East Society of Periodontics and Omicron Kappa Upsilon (the National Dental Honor Society). Dr. Zona is vey involved with organized dentistry. He is a board member of the Richmond County Dental Society as well as a member and past President of the Italian Dental Society.
Dr. Zona is committed to offering state of the art periodontal and implant therapies. He understands the vital need to be current and active with advancements in dental technology. Dr. Zona stays up to date by taking hundreds of hours of continuing education and has lectured extensively to dental residents and his restorative dental colleagues. He is an active and founding member of two dental study clubs. He prides himself with the pleasure of working closely with the most talented restorative dentists in the tri-state area.
We take great pride in announcing that Rebecca Orlick has joined our periodontal practice. She received her undergraduate degree in Biology from SUNY Binghamton. She is a native of Staten Island and attended Port Richmond High School. She received her dental degree from SUNY at Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine in 2004 where she was the recipient of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology Award and the Northeastern Society of Periodontology Award.
Dr. Orlick went on to complete her periodontal specialty training at Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine where she excelled in all facets of periodontics and developed a keen interest in dental implants, advanced bone grafting techniques as well as cosmetic oral and plastic surgery.
Dr. Orlick is a clinical instructor at Staten Island University Hospital, a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the Academy of Osseointegration, the American Dental Association, and the Second District Dental Society.

Dr Zona and his staff are exceptional !!! I highly recommend Him! I experienced no pain with any surgery I had done by him, he has Golden Hands and is great at what he does!
