Dr. Joseph M. Gentile received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Connecticut. He received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Connecticut Health Center in 1981. Continuing his education, Dr. Gentile completed graduate residency programs in General Dentistry from Loma Linda University and Loma Linda Veterans Hospital. Dr. Gentile is affiliated with the American Dental Association, the Hartford Dental Society and the Academy of General Dentistry. He was twice recognized as one of Americas Top Dentist
He regularly attends continuing education programs and has received certificates in Orthodontics and Implant Dentistry. Within the community, Dr. Gentile is actively involved with local and national charities. Dr. Gentile has served as the President of the Avon Chapter of Unico National. He is a member of the Avon Chamber of Commerce. He currently serves on the Avon Alternative Energy Committee. He has 3 children and resides in Avon, Connecticut with his wife, Irene. Dr. Gentile enjoys playing golf and is an avid fly fisherman.

Always a pleasure to visit with Dr. Joe and his staff. Our family has been seeing Dr. Joe for almost 30 years and we are all very happy working with him and his staff for our dental needs. He cares a lot about his his patients!

Dr. Gentile has always been a fantastic dentist, but he and his staff went above and beyond when we brought our teen daughters in for consultations. We highly recommend this practice for your whole family!

I have never been dissatisfied with any of the work that the Good Dr. has done in my mouth. Painless, yes, definitely, and cosmetically knowledgeable, all of the above. It is hard to find a good dentist that does not enhance the anxiety that is felt while working in your mouth. His staff is great, even though I miss Veronica. I have been with Dr. G for many years give him definitely deserves five stars plus.

I went to Dr. Gentile when my own dentist could not find the cause of my tooth pain. Dr. Gentile found it within 20 minutes. I had a broken tooth that took some special x-rays to find and he determined I needed a crown. I have never liked novacaine and have often gone without it. however with a crown I decided I should have it. Wow! I never felt the needle or the work he did. I am now pain free. I highly recommend this dentist.

Wow! What a breath of fresh air compared to my last dentist. Dr. Gentile's office is state of the art and I love being able to see my x-rays on the screen as he explains everything to me. I have really sensitive teeth and any work I've had done in the past has been very uncomfortable. So different here with Dr. Gentile! He knew exactly what I needed and gave me as much numbing as was required so I wasn't jumping around in the chair while he was trying to work on my teeth. Love this guy, and his staff is great, too!

today i had two cavities filled. i was very nervous going into the appointment, but dr gentile was excellent. everything was extremely clean and sterile. dr gentile is very personable and funny.the appointment was much quicker than i expected and i felt completely comfortable and safe the entire time.
