Dr. Joseph Catalano grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. He attended De Smet Jesuit HS in St. Louis, followed by St. Louis University where he received his bachelors degree in biology and chemistry. Dr. Catalano received his DDS (dental degree) from the University of Missouri, located in Kansas City in 1992 where he was invited to membership in Phi Kappa Phi Academic Society, was given William S. Kramer Award for Academic Excellence and graduated in the top 5% of his class. Immediately following dental school, he began a 4-year journey of specialty training in Oral & Maxillofacial surgery at St. Johns Mercy Medical Center in St. Louis, MO. His specialty training encompassed oral surgery, facial trauma, jaw and facial reconstruction, IV anesthesia, TMJ disorders and pathology (tumors and abnormalities of the jaw and face). He served as chief resident between 1995 and 1996.
Dr. Catalano completed his residency in surgery in 1996 and moved to the Denver area where he has been in private practice ever since. In 2007, Dr. Catalano chose to focus solely on Dentoalveolar Surgery (removal of teeth/wisdom teeth), dental implantology, bone grafting and tissue regeneration. Previous affiliations include Membership Chairman of the Colorado Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Trauma Society (ATLS Certification) in 1996 and Facial Trauma Panel at 4 HealthSouth Hospitals in the south/southeast Denver area between 1996 and 2006. He keeps up with his affiliations with the American Dental Association, American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS), Colorado Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the American Association of Physicians and Surgeons. He continues to pursue all current and cutting-edge developments, knowledge, techniques, and materials used in oral surgery, dental implantology, bone and tissue regeneration, and outpatient IV anesthesia by attending numerous continuing education courses and seminars around the country. Dr. Catalano lives in Parker with his wife Brittany and his 4 children Dominic, Olivia, Aribella and Enzo. He enjoys spending time with his family playing golf, hiking, fitness training, bowling, traveling, enjoying culinary arts and enology.

I am a couple months late on writing this review so I apologize for that! :) Dr. Catalano removed my upper wisdom teeth and it was the best experience I ever had at a dentist office! I called around and no one could get me in for month! I called and got a consultation done that week and was scheduled for the surgery two weeks after that. I was so NERVOUS. I have never been under sedation so I was definitely freaking out. Dr Catalano prescribed me a medication to keep relaxed the night before and the morning of. The surgery was fast and everything went great! I had NO PAIN through the entire healing process. Thank you so much Dr Catalano and Brittany (she works her butt off) for making me comfortable and informed during the entire process. I will definitely refer my friends and family Much Love

Doctor Catalano is a great Surgeon. I had tooth extraction, bone graft and implant done at his office. He is patient, caring and I feel safe at his office. I have high dental anxiety but I never had any pain or problems after procedures done at his office. My husband had his wisdom teeth extracted by Doctor Catalano and healed very nicely without any pain or complications!! We are so happy we found Doctor Catalano. Excellent service. Girls working at the office are always nice and caring. Very helpful over the phone as well. I will be recommending Doctor Catalano family and friends. We are so lucky to found him. I had an oral surgery procedure done in one of my bottom right molars, and the next morning I woke up I had absolutely no pain. Just some pressure, I took 2 ibuprofen in the middle of the night and called it good. The swelling of my mouth was not bad at all and I am so thankful with the way the whole procedure turned out. The stitches look perfect and no excessive amounts of bleeding or draining at all. I do pray, and I was blessed to have him and his assistants l with trusting safe hands working on me and knew what they were doing. I feel 10,000 times better than I did before. Thank you so much Dr. Catalano and to the front desk woman (Britney) and other two women who helped me as well

Dr. Catalano seems very nice and personable. We rated lower because we spent more time completing paperwork, and watching a video than we did with him. When we met with him there was a lot of re-explanation of what was on the video and then a quick look at x-rays all to be told we can wait 18-24 months for extraction. I'm sure many would appreciate the elaboration, but 55 min of this office visit (and my life) could have been saved had he looked at the x-rays and called us to say that it's not quite time. I'm sure I will get a hefty bill and think that it is a pretty decent hourly wage for virtually nothing. Not thinking the overhead on the YouTube video would justify time or expense. I am a person that does not like to waste my time or other people's time when it's not necessary. We will see how I feel in 18-24 months...p.s. office staff and Dr. C and the staff were friendly and professional.

Dr Catalano is the best! I was nervous for the procedure but was put at ease immediately by both him and his staff. He did such a wonderful job explaining the procedure as it was going on which really helped to calm my nerves too. He was gentle and professional and so kind. Wow! What a wonderful wonderful dentist! Both the doctor and the staff were all so nice! I came in crying in pain and in fear of the dentist and the entire staff was so comforting and nice and it really didn't take long at all! The dentist put to ease all my fears and I was in and out. Also, the cost was surprisingly much much less than I thought!! I am so glad I came here!

This is bar none, the best Oral Surgeon I have seen, in my 30 plus years of being a dental professional. I accompanied the elderly mother of a friend for a surgical extraction and was extremely impressed...and that isn't an easy task to accomplish! Dr. Catalano was very kind, gentle, helpful, professional and an excellently skilled surgeon. This was a last minute appointment and the entire staff was gracious and helpful. Staff is extremely knowledgeable and truly care about the patient. I live/work in Eagle, Colorado and will be referring all of our Summit and Eagle County and Denver patients to Dr. Catalano for all implant and oral surgery needs. Fabulous office! I was treated very kindly with respect and appreciation. Dr. Catalano took his time to listen to my past history, gave an examination to fully understand what I've gone through and gave me a thoughtful and full explanation of what is going on in a way that was beneficial and honest. His staff were very happy and helpful as well. It's really refreshing and I felt good when I left.
