Joseph Lichter, D.D.S. graduated from New York University College of Dentistry in 1997 with Honors. He completed a General Practice Residency at Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, and then stayed on as Chief Resident in order to focus on advanced education in General Dentistry. Dr. Lichter has published articles in multiple dental journals and has taught for a number of years at Peninsula Hospital Center, training the dental residents in Advanced General Dentistry. Dr. Lichter has also lectured for Biolase, training dentists in Laser Dentistry and therapy. He continues to practice using cutting edge skills and the latest technology available. Dr. Lichter has recently been trained in delivering Botox and Dermal Fillers, the latest addition to his practice. Currently, Dr. Lichter is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Academy of Facial Esthetics.

For patients with gummy smiles, a line is drawn to mark the new gum line. Once approved, anesthesia is applied to the area and the contouring begins. A dental instrument (typically a scalpel or laser) is used to reshape the gum tissue and trim away any extra tissue overhanging the tooth.
For patients with a toothy grin, gum grafting can add gum tissue to reduce the amount of visible tooth Tissue is removed from the roof of the mouth or from gum tissue near the tooth and stitched into the area needing additional gum tissue.

I was here three years ago . I had been going to another dentist by recommendation of my cousin. I think I will be staying here . My wait to get in chair was short. X-Ray Tec was very kind . When the doctor came in ask me my concerns pertaining my oral hygiene.. He told me the condition of my mouth then gave me his recommendation and I'm pleased with and will be moving forward with this office .

Very knowledgeable dentist. He was extremely kind and informative about his recommendations on my teeth even though I am not financially able to take care of my teeth the right way.. I will be coming back. His assistant Olga as well is phenomenal! She cleaned my teeth both times and did a deep cleaning which was painless she is so sweet and actually enjoys her job which I love! I would highly recommend this office

I was very impressed with the state of the art equipment, Dr Lichter was very friendly and knowledgeable in his field. He was very patient and explained everything to me about what procedure is best for me. The staffs at the front desk is very friendly and helpful. Highly Recommend!!!! Great experience. - Especially since I'm terribly afraid of the dentist and Dr. Lichter is very sensitive to that and goes the extra mile to make me feel comfortable. All the staff was very helpful and always available to assist. Everyone in the office are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Dr. Lichter is committed to providing the best dental care available to his patients.
