Joseph L. Keefer DMD is a native Pennsylvanian. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 1984, and completed a one-year postgraduate residency in 1985. He started a private practice in 1985 in his hometown of Camp Hill, PA.
Dr. Keefer has been a member of the Academy of General Dentistry since 1984. The AGD is committed to excellence in continuing education. He earned the AGD Fellowship Award in 1993 and the prestigious AGD Mastership Award in 2003. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the North Carolina Dental Society, the First District Dental Society of North Carolina, and the Gaston County Dental Society. Dr. Keefer recently completed a rigorous 6-month mini-residency in Dental implants. He received the Fellowship Award of the International Congress of Oral Implantology (IOCI) in April 2010.
While Dr. Keefer occasionally fills-in at the office, he is thoroughly enjoying retirement, filling his days with family, fishing, and being outdoors with his numerous adopted dogs. He is a past Assistant Scoutmaster of Troop 49 in Stanley.
