Dr. Joseph Sanseverewas born and raised in New Jersey. He has a Bachelors Degree in Biology from Montclair State University and Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. He completed a residency specializing in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at UMDNJ (now the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine) in Newark, NJ. Upon completion of his residency, Dr. Sansevere opened his private practice in Flemington, NJ. He has also served on the faculty of the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine. He has the following credentials and associations:
Dr. Sansevere is Chief of Oral Surgery at the Hunterdon Medical Center and holds a staff position at the Hunterdon Center for Surgery in Flemington. He is a certified provider of Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and a CPR instructor. His special area of clinical interest includes reconstruction of the teeth and jaws with dental implants and bone grafting. He has extensive experience in the field of dental implant surgery.
A graduate from Hunterdon Central Regional High School, he holds a Bachelors Degree and Masters Degree in Biology from Montclair State University. He received his DMD from the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine and completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. During this time, he received extensive and specialized training in the removal of impacted teeth, office-based anesthesia, dental implants, bone grafting, corrective jaw surgery and the management of TMJ disorders. He is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and Advanced Trauma Life Support, and is a member of the ADA, NJDA, AAOMS and ADSA. He brings a wealth of knowledge regarding the management of the medically compromised dental patient, diagnosis and management of oral pathology, and treatment of traumatic injuries to the oral and maxillofacial region.

He is committed to maintaining great relationships with his patients, as well as fellow dentists and physicians, to ensure a collaborative approach to patient care.
The administrative and surgical personnel of West Jersey Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, PC are highly experienced in outpatient surgical care and anesthesia care. Their mission is to provide a superior level of customer service so that your experience at West Jersey Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, PC is the best possible. The staff are well-versed in insurance and financial policies and follow a strict infection control protocol. All of the administrative and surgical staff members are certified in basic life support (CPR).
Jody, R.D.A., joined the practice in 1997. She is knowledgeable concerning the many aspects of dentistry. In addition to overseeing the staff and the operational aspects of the practice, Jody is also the Dental Implant/Treatment Coordinator which allows her to serve as a liaison between the patient, referring dentist, Dr. Sansevere and Dr. Reed. She has her NJ Dental X-ray License, her Nitrous Oxide Certificate, and the Dental Anesthesia Assistant National Certification. Jody is a Registered Dental Assistant, is an allied staff member of the AAOMS, and maintains OSHA updates and training.
Ashley,C.D.A., joined the practice in 2013. She has her NJ Dental X-ray License, and is a Certified Dental Assistant. She is responsible for processing and managing oral pathology. Ashley also coordinates out-patient surgeries at the Hunterdon Medical Center and the Hunterdon Center for Surgery. In addition, Ashley maintains HIPAA updates and training. Currently she is working towards becoming a Registered Dental Assistant and the Dental Anesthesia Assistant National Certification.
Heather,D.A., joined the practice in 2015 and has worked in the dental field since 1990, bringing Periodontics knowledge and experience. She is responsible for inventory and purchasing of dental supplies for the office serving as a liaison between the practice and sales representatives. Heather has her NJ Dental X-ray License, and is a Dental Assistant. She is currently working towards the Dental Anesthesia Assistant National Certification.
Isabella,D.A., joined the practice in 2018 and brings previous experience in Oral Surgery. She has her Dental X-ray License and the Dental Anesthesia Assistant National Certification. She coordinates the monthly maintenance and biological testing of sterilization equipment. Isabella also maintains the inventory of surgical instruments. She is working towards becoming a Certified Dental Assistant.
Courtney,C.D.A., joined the practice in 2018 and has worked in the dental field since 2012. Courtney has her NJ Dental-Xray license and is a Certified Dental Assistant. In the office, Courtney is responsible for calibrating and maintaining working order of the offices iCat machine. She is currently working towards becoming a Registered Dental Assistant and the Dental Anesthesia Assistant National Certification.
Kelly,joined the practice in 1997, and has been involved in the Hunterdon County dental community since 1984. Kelly is an allied staff member of the AAOMS and holds a certificate in advanced Medical/Dental Coding for oral surgery. She brings many years of experience in handling the various aspects of dental and medical insurance. Kelly is dedicated to maximizing your insurance benefits and is available to answer your questions concerning insurance.
Kylene, joined the practice in 2015 as an administrative assistant bringing previous experience in the dental field. Kylene serves as the Schedule Coordinator and manages the patient recall system to ensure that follow-up care is maintained. She oversees office email and the daily setup of the front office.
Joelle,joined the practice in 2017 as an administrative assistant. She brings twelve years experience in administrative and clinical practice. She communicates with referring dentists to ensure the office receives pertinent patient information prior to their visit. She assists in managing the office email and the daily setup of the front office. Joelle also has her NJ Dental X-ray License.

This surgeon is extremely efficient, kind, and professional. His staff took me in as an emergency tooth extraction patient, and he preformed the surgery that day in spite of his crowded schedule. He also went out of his way to order my medication when my pharmacy's computer system failed to accept the prescriptions ordered online from his office. In addition, his assistant was kind and helpful and great at her job. I'd highly recommend this doctor.

Dr. Reed and all of the staff at this office we're so accommodating and understanding. Rebecca who assisted Dr. Reed both times (second time at my request) was amazing. I am an extremely anxious individual and it takes a lot for me to be able to actually go through with things because I panic but both were super understanding and answered every question I had very honest and that was very comforting. I was recommended to this office my two other people and I would recommend them in heart beat. I am so thankful to everyone who was a part of my care and made things go so smoothly.

Recommend finding another oral surgeons than Dr Reid and Dr Sansevere. Their office with bold face lie through their teeth and tell you, you are not in network. Even after calling your insurance for proof and insurance tell you they are in fact in network. If you have any kind of dental anxiety, stay the hell away. You'll just waste your time Im and end up in the hospital with a massive infection from negligence. Guess your office and dr forgot what the full Hippocratic oath... I was far from treated to the best of their abilities. But, I have my proof if I end up getting sicker.

I needed a molar extracted. This was this first extraction in 35 years, the last was my wisdom teeth. This office is top notch. They have electronic form submission so everything was filled out in advance. They have state of the art equipment. The staff were all friendly and explained all the details of the procedure in advance. It was a beautiful wintry day and the view from their suite was pristine. Travis Reed performed the procedure and it was over in no time. There was no discomfort during the procedure. Travis called that evening to check up on how things were progressing and to see if I had any questions. If you need an oral surgeon this is the place to go.

This office is wonderful! Dr. Reed was wonderful and did great work on my recent implant surgery. This practice is well worth it, I no longer live in the area but still choose to come down for my oral surgery needs!

I took my 85 year old father to Dr Reed today . He is a wonderful doctor . He is extremely smart and professional and has so much patience. This is the place where the patient comes first ! My father has Alzheimer's disease and needed Two extractions .I couldn't believe how accommodating and caring this office is. The entire staff and especially the young girl that assisted were so nice and helpful. The procedure was pain free. I felt compelled to write this review especially since Dr Reed called me himself tonight to check to see how my father was doing . You can tell he genuinely cares about his patients. I am so thankful they fit us in today . I will recommend him to all my friends and family . Excellent care.

I felt it was important to write a review to recognize the service and care I received during my visit with Dr. Sansevere and his staff. Upon entering the office the staff was very welcoming and caring. During my procedure Dr. Sansevere made sure that I was comfortable at all times. Dr. Sansevere followed up after the procedure to make sure I was doing well and to answer any questions or concerns I had. I would highly recommend using West Jersey Oral Surgeons.

I am 34 years old and had to get all four of my wisdom teeth removed. Being 34 I was really nervous because the recovery process would probably be worse than recovery for someone who is younger. Well, I had a consultation with Doctor Travis Reed. He was so nice, welcoming, and pleasant to deal with that I knew I would be in great hands during surgery! He explained everything in detail and was honest with all his responses. Anyhow, today was my surgery day and Doctor Travis and his team made me feel great. I went under general anesthesia and did not feel anything! Post surgery I am following the EXACT instructions provided to me and so far the pain is controlled and I'm feeling fine! I wouldn't call wisdom teeth removal the worse thing I ever went through. Thank you Doctor Travis and team for such a wonderful experience. I will definitely recommend you to anyone!
