Located on the south side of Chicago, Dr. Joseph McCartin has worked hard to establish his practice as exceptional in both advanced technology and a friendly, family-oriented atmosphere. We treat the whole family from the littlest smiles to grandmothers and grandfathers, and we pride ourselves on the quality and experience of our staff, many of whom have been with us for over 10 years. Dr. McCartin earned his dental degree in 1984 at Marquette University School of Dentistry, where he received the award for clinical excellence from the faculty. Additionally, he was inducted into the XI chapter of Omicron Kappa Upsilon, which is reserved for the top 10% of the graduating class, as well as nominated for Alpha Sigma Nu, the Jesuit Honor Society. Today, he has treated patients of all ages at his private dental practice for over 30 years, offering an atmosphere that is both family-friendly and exceptionally modern. The average staff member has been with Dr. McCartin for more than ten years, and he is continually striving to improve himself and his office so that his care is always quality and kind.
Dr. McCartin is an Associate Fellow for the American Academy of Implant Dentistry as well as a Qualified Dentist for the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. He is also currently affiliated with the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society, American Equilibration Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry. He is also a Fellow in The International Congress of Implantalogists. Dr. McCartin stays active in learning as he completes several continuing education classes a year in order to offer the most advanced techniques and procedures to his patients.
Born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisc., Sue moved with her family to Wethersfield, Conn., when she was 15. Living in New England provided her with wonderful opportunities for traveling and camping throughout the eastern U.S., and it was there that she developed her love for travel and the outdoors.
Their oldest son and daughter-in-law have twins and live in Minneapolis, Minn.Their son recently finished law school after workingin Washington, D.C., doing legislative work for the building and construction trades.
Suzannes passion is waterskiing, especially slalom skiing, but she enjoys all outdoor activities. Joe and Suzanne have three dogs (a Labrador and English setters) that she walks every day, and they enjoy time with friends and family at their lake house in theWisconsin Northwoods.
Suzanne takes pride in providing their patients with the best service. She believes their office has themost caring andqualifiedstaffandthat Joe is the most skilled and knowledgeable dentist in Chicago.
As a dental assistant, she works with Dr. McCartin to assure each patient is at ease and ready for treatment. For Meagan, the best part of her job is interacting with patients and working with her colleagues on staff.
She is certified in coronal polishing and application of pit and fissure sealants, CPR and advanced cardiovascular life support. Others include radiology for dental personnel, oral sedation, and PRP and PRF phlebotomy. She has also trained in aspects of sleep apnea.
