Thank you for your interest in our Wyomissing dental practice. We have been providing dental care for the Wyomisisng, Berks County and Reading, PA community for over 25 years. The entire dental staff is dedicated not only to restoring patient's teeth and gums to health, but focuses on preventative care and patient education. Our office has a small, friendly atmosphere that puts our patients at ease.
Dr. Blackburn, known to his patients as Dr. B, has been practicing dentistry since 1986, since 1988 at his office at 1500 Penn Avenue in Wyomissing. A native of Emporium, Dr. Blackburn received a Bachelor's Degree in Wildlife Biology from Penn State University and his Dental Degree from the University of Pittsburgh. He served a one-year residency at Community General Hospital in Reading and opened his practice in Wyomissing shortly thereafter.
Dr. Blackburn is affiliated with the American Dental Association, Pennsylvania Dental Association, Berks County Dental Society and the Academy of General Dentistry. He stays on top of the latest practices and techniques in his field through continuing education courses that he takes on a routine basis.
Taking time to listen to his patients' problems and concerns and responding thoroughly to their questions is a trademark of Dr. Blackburns approach to dentistry. He respects their time and will go out of his way to accommodate their schedules and needs, including being highly responsive to emergency situations.
Dr. Blackburn lived in Berks County for 24 years before moving to Horsham, Montgomery County, so that he and his wife, Kathy, could be closer to her family. They have three children, Joey, Kylene, and Sammy, and two grandchildren. Joey is married to Meghan and they have a daughter Ellie. Kylene is married to Jared and they have a daughter Avie. When he is not seeing patients, Dr. Blackburn enjoys spending time with his family, Penn State football, Phillies games, and travel. He is also an avid fly fisherman and will grab any chance he can to get out on the water.
A native of Berks County, Sue Phillips works as a Dental Hygienist. She joined our staff in 1987. One of Susans favorite aspects of her job is working with patients who really fear dentistry by helping them overcome that fear and feel comfortable enough to continue care and maintain good dental health.
She is a graduate of Fleetwood High School and Northampton Community College, where she received an Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene. She resides in northern Berks County with her husband, Keith, and two children, Wade, and Karli.
Sue is involved with her church and community activities. She cherishes the time spent with family and friends, and also enjoys reading, gardening, traveling and crafting. She particularly loves weekends in the mountains, but would never turn down a trip to the beach.
Mindy Facciolli has been on our staff since 1997 as a Dental Hygienist. A graduate of Hamburg Area High School, she received an Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene from Northampton Community College. She is committed to taking continuing education courses on preventative dentistry. Mindy and her husband, Jaret, reside in West Lawn with their two children, Lane, and Jenna. She enjoys watching her kids participate in sporting events, being outdoors and taking vacations.
Missy Leach is a Dental Assistant whos been with our practice since 1994. She is a graduate of Muhlenberg High School and the Reading-Muhlenberg Career & Technology Center. Missy enjoys getting to know the patients and talking to them. She hopes to help them feel relaxed and comfortable while in the treatment room.
When not at work, Missy, of Oley, enjoys spending time with her husband, Russ, and two children, Russell, and Olivia. Some of their favorite places to visit include Knoebels Amusement Park and Ocean City, Maryland.
Jasmine, a Governor Mifflin graduate, has been a dental assistant since she received her Associates degree in Dental Assisting From Berks Technical Institute in 2015. She loves working with, and getting to know patients and sharing her dental knowledge with them.
When Jasmine is not in the office, she enjoys taking walks with here 2 dogs, Zeus, a German Sheppard, and Rambo, A Yorkie. She also loves spending time with her little sister and the rest of her family. She also loves camping and trips to the beach to relax and have fun.
