Dr. Sosa, a native of Panama, opened his practice in the San Diego North County area in 2009 after moving here from Virginia. His experience affords him the ability to treat all ages and aspects of dentistry with very few patients referred out. His post-doctoral courses in oral surgery, implantology and sleep apnea has allowed the scope of his practice to grow. Always looking to take advantage of the latest technology, he is especially excited about his top-of-the-line Dental CT (computerized tomography) Scanner which has opened doors to the most advanced diagnosis and treatment planning.
Dr. Sosa is an active member of The San Diego County Dental Society, the California Dental Association and the American Dental Association. He lives in Carlsbad with his wife (a pediatric dentist) and three daughters. He is an avid soccer fan and plays regularly on the weekends.

I was very anxious about going to the dentist because I was in pain. Dr. Sosa made me feel comfortable and explained what I needed, making me feel much better about my teeth. He did an excellent job on my veneers and the entire staff was friendly, professional, and efficient. I am very happy that I found a dentist who has my best interest as his priority.

Very nice office and the receptionist and assistant were very helpful..I liked that the dentist spoke spanish and was very clear with me explaining everything..For sure I would recommended..

my brother and i received excellent service from dr sosa and his staff. i needed a few fillings replaced (and need to return for an extraction) and my brother had a serious case of calculus (tartar) and needed a deep cleaning. my brother is a developmentally disabled adult and can be a difficult patient to deal with. dr sosa and his staff handled him beautifully. they were kind and patient and professional and made him feel completely comfortable throughout the entire process. he was actually happy to go to the dentist! we will be returning for more services soon. thank you dr sosa and team.

Oh, he is a wonderful dentist, and professional. And the receptionist is, really gorgeous. And really helpful give her an raise. Actually they are all professional. The doctor left my teeth really clean.

I LOVE this dentist! I have been searching a long time for a funny, caring and professional dentist. Not only did Dr. Sosa make me laugh, he was efficient in the time I had available and was skilled enough to do multiple fillings at one time which was more cost effective and didn't have me running back multiple times like every other dentist I have been to. I am deathly afraid of needles and he was so gentle that I am not fearful going back for my second and final visit Alicia and the staff were so accommodating and inquisitive about me and made me feel special. Found my forever Dentist for sure Elisabeth

Extremely knowledgeable and confident dentist that seeks nothing less than perfection in every dental procedure he does regardless of how difficult or complicated is. He does them all with ease, confidence and hardly any pain or discomfort to his client if any. His dental assistants Alicia & Leslie are additional stars to the 5 stars his dental office has been rated with.

After going to a lot of franchises and not being happy,I found doctor Sosa, from the moment I walked in with my husband everyone was so nice,They took their time with both of us heard our concerns, And the most important thing is that they were very honest about what was needed to be done.They didn't push anything unnecessary on us.Loved my experience and definitely will be seeing more of him.

Dr. Jose Sosa, was very helpful coming from the beginning, he accommodated to my work schedule and was able to schedule me in 3 times during my available time. There's so much information/knowledge that he shared that I had never been told by any of my previous dentist. He was kind, honest and funny. Overall for all my 3 visits within a month period I was advised to take care of my teeth before major damage was created. I did not feel pressured to do any additional work like my other dr. Always tried to push me to do. I will continue to come back and will also bring my family in to see him.

didnt even have a chance to go here, called to try and become a new patient. Had my all my insurance info ready, and proceeded to tell me I needed more, and instead of giving me any sort of assistance, they told ME to call my insurance company and get the information. The next day, after getting all of this information, i call them back and of course the Dr says " they are going to recommend a different place" He couldnt be bothered to give me an answer, he just said " theyll tell you" I called my insurance, and according to them, that conversation never happened. The only reason they would straight up deny a new patient is because its not enough money, my dental plan doesnt have me paying a copay for much of anything so im assuming im not worth their time or money Cant say anything about their workmanship, but i work in customer service myself and Dr.Sosa seems a little prejudiced and the employees there have no interest in helping patients. Horrible service, would recommend 0 stars if i could.

The whole staff was very helpful and did everything they could to make my experience pleasant. Dr. Sosa was extremely nice and understanding. At first I was nervous but he made me feel completely comfortable like I was family.

Dr Sosa was so kind and compassionate towards my mother. She 83 and needs a lot of work done. He was very thorough in explaining everything to us from different treatment options, to what would be covered by her insurance. The staff is friendly and kind, and the office is very clean. I am impressed and feel very grateful to have found this dentist for her!

I would like to say my experience was absolutely amazing. I received great service from a very kind dentist Jose and his lovely assistant Jenna making them my new two favorite "J's" ever. They have enabled me to smile again and feel good about doing so. Plus they were so genuinely super nice. I would recommend everyone going here for your dental needs big or small.Big big thumbs up,and they deserve all five stars that I gave them.
